  1. No point in resetting it, imo. It's not a thermostat or thermometer. It's a thermistor. Car manufacturers use thermistors because they're cheaper. The problem is, they're also less accurate. The reading you're getting is of the air temperature under the hood, which is why it's hotter when you first start your truck on a hot day and then reads a few degrees higher then the electric sign out front of a bank that gives you time and temperature that you pass while driving down the road. The only true fix to the issue plaguing all vehicles in the road is to upgrade the component used and relocate it for an accurate reading. Good luck with that.
  2. The Rough Country trifold doesn't block your view out the back window. Only 2 portions fold open. To open the 3rd you need to untwist 2 knobs and remove the entire tonneau.
  3. I have a Retrax with the plastic cover. No water issues, but hate the noise. It rattles a lot while driving down the road. With that said, my experience may be unique due to my setup. I have the GM Accessories sport bar and Valhalla Offroad MOLLE panels installed on my truck. Both interfere with the Retrax cover. I had to modify the side rails for the sport bar and fight for mounting locations with the MOLLE panels. I did look at the Roll N Lock cover, but had to cross it off my list because it mounts using 2 points inside the bed wall where rubber plugs are mounted by the factory. That same location is also utilized by the sport bar for installation. If I were to do it again I'd get the aluminum Retrax cover. If you want to save some money I recommend the trifold hard cover from Rough Country. It worked just fine for me until I upgraded to the Retrax. No water issues. Simple install, and easy to remove of you end up needing more be space. The downside is only 2 of the 3 panels open. It's only 2 quick knobs to remove the cover once it's open. It does take a few more minutes to reinstall correctly, but still very easy. It did an excellent job keeping water out.
  4. Btw, if you look at the myChevrolet app you'll see this if there's a problem. Looks like I need to talk to my wife, and do a little refresher with her.
  5. Different models have different psi. This is my truck. 2020 Trail Boss LT with 18s.
  6. I returned the AAWireless kit to Amazon and got a full refund. Stuck with the Motorola unit due to throwing away the packaging, otherwise I would've returned it too. I think I'm going to do an upgrade through WAMS.
  7. Nope. No VPN usage here. Only person in my household that uses that is my wife, and it's only when she's out of country.
  8. This is the first time I've ever heard the claim about GM TPMS reading ~5psi off. If it affects GMCs it'll also affect Chevys. Every time I've had to adjust tire pressures I've had at least 1 other device giving me the same reading as what my truck and app say. Has anybody else heard this claim?
  9. Just bought the AAWireless off Amazon within the last 2 weeks. I have Android version 13. My phone is a Samsung S21 Ultra. Android Auto version is 10.2.633224, or something like that. I did plug in with a wire and had no issues running Android Auto. If like to go wireless so I can drop my phone in the wireless charger and drive.
  10. You only get 1 first impression. Do you really want to be known as a whiner? Furthermore, it's quite hypocritical of you to tell me to learn to read when my 2nd post made it very clear why I missed some info in the first post, and I even apologized for it. It's apparent you're the one acting like the keyboard warrior. It would be wise for you to take your own advice and go get a life. After all, you could've simply not responded. The Irby of the whole thing is, you whine about a known "major failure" on GM's part for years yet you still bought a truck with the same transmission that has a history of a known "major failure". Clearly, something isn't clicking with you upstairs. Good luck getting your problems solved.
  11. Thanks. I'll look into that to ensure it doesn't delete the GM factory navigation I already have installed. I don't doubt that last part doesn't make sense. After all, why would somebody want Android Auto when they have the factory navigation? I recently moved from California to Florida. I ended up renting a house because I'll be here for only 3 years. It's in a brand new area. The roads aren't even on the GM Nav files. Not sure if I'm able to get updated maps. Just thought I'd give Google Maps a try because it's cheaper, and I assumed easier, to install. I assume Google would be quicker to get the updated maps from.
  12. I have been trying to add wireless Android Auto on my truck via a dongle that connects to my phone via Bluetooth. I initially started with Motorola's MA1. I followed the directions to the letter, but it didn't work. I disconnected Bluetooth to mychevrolet, and gone as far as unpairing because the phone would try connecting again on its own. I even made the truck forget my phone. Phone is Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. Going through the processes, the result is the same with the radio unable to find the phone. This isn't just an issue with the Motorola MA1. After a week of failures I decided to see if another device would work, and purchased the AAWireless dongle. Going through the install processes the result was the same -- failure. I'd like to get one of these to work, and refund the other. Is there anybody experienced with these devices and able to help?
  13. I'm not a mod, so I can't do anything. Taking a step back, all I saw was whining. It tuned me out of everything else. Sorry for missing those details.
  14. Let's do what this subforum is intended for, "TROUBLESHOOTING". Let's start with: Year Model Engine Transmission Symptoms, etc.
  15. Have you checked with the dealer to make sure the full update downloaded? They may have to connect to a computer and perform a complete update in the shop.
  16. That definitely looks like an Android Auto screen. I recommend contacting Google.
  17. I have never tried the thumb drive method. Been using my phone for many years. I have been storing must've on my phone for almost 15 years now. If I'm not listening to XM, or streaming via Amazon Alexa, I use my phone. I have over 2,100 songs, and constantly adding more. My truck is a 2020, so I don't have wireless Android Auto. I connect my phone to the truck via Bluetooth under MyChevrolet. It's easiest to connect by touching the phone icon, then phone tab at the top of the page, and then connect phone. Go through the process on both your phone and truck screen and it'll connect. As for transferring the music onto your phone, you should be able to do it by connecting your phone and thumb drive to your computer via USB.
  18. 15 years later and you'd think people would pull their cranium from their rear end and have the appropriate amount of time to learn a few things. 1) The government bailout want intended to, and never did, prevent GM from filing for bankruptcy. 2) GM wasn't the only car company to receive government money. All 3 of the big 3 did. Yes, even Ford. There were 6 car companies total that received government bailouts. One of them, Tesla, had never made a profit until years after the bailout was given to them. The other 2 were Nissan and Toyota. Of the 6, Ford was the last to finish repaying its debt, doing so in June 2022. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.factcheck.org/2011/09/ford-motor-co-does-u-turn-on-bailouts/&ved=2ahUKEwiS4KrFiveAAxU9QjABHfbGCkIQFnoECCkQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1LlSEpn_RN2BJGk2j94MXL And, then a year after finally repaying the bailout Ford asked, and received, a $9.2 billion loan from the federal government. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/22/business/energy-environment/ford-battery-plants-loan.html&ved=2ahUKEwiS4KrFiveAAxU9QjABHfbGCkIQFnoECBwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1qPbEhnG44-06P2fRIMmyJ 3) And here's the real irony, Ford is the least reliable domestic automotive manufacturer in the US. The F-series truck ranks 3rd in reliability of the big 3, whereas GM ranks #1. In conclusion, as President Abraham Lincoln said, "It's best to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Right now, there is no doubt. I'm not here to profess that GM is superior and can do no wrong. They are a company run by people, and people commit errors. I'm simply stating that I'm tired of hearing lies repeated over and over. It doesn't matter how many times you tell a lie, Hillary Clinton was wrong, it remains a lie and will never become truth. Besides, it sounds like your issue is with your dealership, not GM. Go find a different dealer. I've used the MyChevrolet app to see which dealer in my area has the shortest wait time for service. That'll give you a better idea of who'll get your truck in and out of the shop the quicker.
  19. Seems fine to me, but I'm not an audiophile. When I tell Alexa to play American Flags by Tom McDonald, and turn the volume to about 50%, the base seems to thump hard to me. I don't believe I've messed with the EQ settings on my truck at all.
  20. Thanks. I've heard you and appreciate your opinion. I have decided to not get the fender flares. I was never sure which way I was going with that and needed to hear what others thought.
  21. I'm a little confused on 1 point. How could you not know if the tailgate is closed when looking in the rear view mirror? Is the "spoiler" looking ridge not visible in the mirror? I have a 2020 and have had 2 tonneau covers on my truck. One was the Rough Country trifold. The one I have now is a Retrax. With both tonneau covers closed, I was always able to tell if the tailgate was up. Was there a redesign of the top plastic trim piece I missed? As for concern about the tailgate dropping while pulling a trailer, have you looked into the GM accessory that should prevent that from happening. Iirc, it's made by Curt, but don't quote me on that.
  22. Following. I'm curious to see if there's a way to not replace the whole headlight assembly at $1,000 for the part alone.
