Nice write up. I thought of selling my 2020 AT4 for the KBB cash price and sitting on the equity and waiting for the new model year 2022 to be released in 2024 . I am interested in the interior upgrades of the '22. With that said I really have no problems with the truck beit only having 13,000 miles and them no longer offering pacific blue in the AT4 trim. What color did you have and what do you have now?

Of course I wish the interior was more up to date but the overall performance of the truck is great. I have had absolutely no issues. I wish it was easier to just level the truck to remove the rake but unless you do a true lift where you drop the differential you will more than likely have problems, from what I have heard. Other than that very solid truck, I would buy another today without hesitation.

It sucks for sure. I have researched a ton and it appears the only way to do this and not have issues it to drop the differential. BDS makes a great 4" kit but you are going to spend about $3,000. I looked at the readylift for my AT4 but just can't pull the trigger due to the stress on the CV's due to the angles, the diff has to drop.

Do you have the 10 speed tranny? I hear the same thing. I have a 2020 AT4 with the 10 speed and when I am come almost to a full stop, like a low speed crawl, I hear it. I chucked it up to the transmission catching up to gear down. Mine sounds like its coming from the rear.

Just in 44 years never seen a depreciating asset be worth more than it sold for new. No need for lumber currently with 2x4's being $8 each. As far as durable goods I have plenty of pickles and those things keep forever.

I appreciate all the replies on this topic. I also considered selling but my wife said you wouldn't be happy with less of a truck and would end up buying another AT4 in two years when you would almost have the other one you sold payed off. It is a great opportunity with people who may have purchased with negative equity to turn around and sale and break even or better. Like most I have added things like powersteps, retrax bed cover, more aggressive all terrains and exhaust. They will never pay you for your upgrades. Unless you are not happy I believe you just have to hold on to what you have, you can make more money

With the sport bar being an issue I would opt for the power. I just saw how the sports bar is made and it would pose quiet difficult to reach around and grab the manual handle with the height of the truck, unless you are 8' 6"! I will look when I get home to see if there is a location to attach a lead to pull the Retrax shut unless someone can chime in before then. I think you will be very happy with the cover.

I have a RETRAX and really like it. I do not like the room it takes up at the front of the bed next to the cab but I understand that is the trade off for a roll up cover, it has to go somewhere. I think roll-n-lock may not be as deep for the cover storage but I have no issues with the RETRAX. I have the polycarbonate model, not the aluminum. I have no issues with leaks. If it comes a really hard rain I get a slight leak on the edges where the cover meets the tailgate. It's very minimal I would not have an issue putting luggage back there during a hard rain. We don't get much snow in SC so I can not attest for standing snow. I think you will be happy with either the RETRAX or Roll-n-Lock compared to what you have. You get a lot me versatility due to being able to lock the cover anywhere during the travel of retracting.

I just happen to check kbb today and noticed the trade-in value of my 2020 AT4 with 12,000 miles has appreciated over $7,000 from when I bought it in January. It has litterally went from $53,000 to $60,500. I know these trucks are scarace but it amazing they have went up that much! The site unseen cash offer was $57,800 with 13 area dealers ready to buy. I almost thought of selling due to now having $20,000 in equity but figured buying a truck cash to free up a monthly payment would be great but you can't even get a 2015 Tacoma with 200,000 miles for $20,000. Imo leveling has never been good for the geometry of the truck. GM spends millions of dollars engineering these trucks and if they meant for them to be leveled they would make them that way. I would love my AT4 to be leveled but its not worth the chance of destroying a $60,000 truck for a look. I know there have been issues with bushings on UCA's and CV's on the TB and AT4. Honestly since I don't own one of the others I haven't looked at issues with leveling. I know that the AT4 trim doesn't seem to like leveling. Good luck. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

My neighbor as an RST and had to replace his Duelers at 24,000 miles. He just pulls a boat about every Saturday. I think the tires are just too soft. I like the Cooper XLT AT3 10 ply. It is what I will run when I wear these Duelers out. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

The shudder could be the fuel management system. I know some people have mentioned feeling a "hesitation" in the accelerator.

They are both beautiful trucks. Mainly comes down to your preference since they are basically the same package other than the tranny. But you are taking this from a AT4 owner [emoji23].

I would go with the 10-speed over the 8-speed The look of the GMC is just better to me but that's all opinion of course. I don't know this for a fact but resale may also be slightly better on the GMC.
