  1. I have the same problem, I was thinking of my next project was to add a OEM power sliding window for a 2025 project. I guess when I get around to doing this, I will have to add home link version.
  2. The only other option I have seen is the one on the mirror.
  3. As a note you need to have the upgraded head unit. If you have chevy stock navigation, then you should be able to install Intellihaul 2.0 or 3.0
  4. Great Enthusiasm, The above reference of the controls had to do with the upscale capability of the 7 in screen vs an 8 inch screen. I have an LT with an 8 inch screen with a IOR setup. I found it interesting based on the above thread that a vehicle with 7 inch screen had touch controls, if that was the case it had to have a IOU upscale ( with nav capable system ) touch HVAC, Hud and Upscale instrument Cluster communication capability. That did not make sense, hence the question was asked. We were not justifying the practicality of any of the function just the exitances on a 7inch screen. As a note, I find move of the current voice controls, calling, texting, directions to, check score of game X, very helpful. Its not perfect but it is better than stopping and safer than pulling your phone out and taking your eyes off the road. Any way to each his/her own.
  5. Good Looking effect/Truck
  6. I did finally find the link for the upgrade from the IOR to IOU with Upgraded OEM Nav, see below: 19-22 Silverado Sierra IOR to IOU GPS Navigation Upgrade (infotainment.com) it not cheap by any means but it is OEM. I is not that we have two options now.
  7. You have HVAC controls functions on a 7 inch display? I have and 8 inch on a LT model, My HVAC will display but can not control them thru the display.
  8. Has anyone taken the plunge? From what I can tell, if you have an IOR unit this might be the only option left, I thought I had a saved a link for an upgrade from an IOR to full nav but I don't seem to be able to find it anymore.
  9. Looks great, make sure you post the final pictures. You should add the Chevy light up bowtie to round it out. Have few questions. How are the rim overlays holding up and what did you the front maker lights up with?
  10. When it is all complete, please post some pictures. I am not a chrome guy at all either.
  11. Have you thought about just de-chroming the front end of your truck. You can easily buy the black LTZ grille and used painted bumpers to get color matched. I did the process on my LT heavy chrome to a LTZ no chrome, I even replaced the scopp. Here is the before and after less the scoop.
  12. I think the Video, is making it look harder than it is. I have Chevy and Not the GMC but I suspect they set them up the same way. I can drop my grille and bumper in about 30 minutes. GMC guys correct me If I am wrong here. On the chevy the left and right side trim under the head lights can be popped out from the center and left alone not detaching from the left and right wheel wells. I am assuming this is the case with the GMC. If this is case all you have to do is follow the grille detachment instructions and leave the lower trims attached but pull them back so you can get to the lower bolts on the grille. As far as the bumper goes. it is held on by 4 bolts on the top and to on the bottom. just be sure to unplug the electrical first. Good Luck, it is not as hard as it looks.
  13. I am running power from the ODM connect so it can monitor the status of the vehicle for packing mode and battery status. Ran the power up the pillar, down to the mirror. Ran the back camera up to the mirror to the liner then around then to side, and then down to the back to the camera on the rear passenger side of the back window.
  14. I just kept it simple and went with the Thinkware setup, Easy install, front and back cameras, will monitor your vehicle while parked. Will monitor your battery and turn off if it gets too low. Any way there are a lot of secondary solutions. Good Luck
  15. I ran those that tire size without any leveling and with no rubbing issues. I did add a lift kit afterwards though.
  16. You can do it, I have done it myself, you will need an adaptor harness but other than that you need to follow the instructions. Here is a video I used: I would shop around for the harness below as they charge too much for them now. I was able to find the harnesses for around $200 when I did it. 19-22 Silverado LED Headlight Harness – Gen5DIY
  17. If you are going to go 3" in the front, I would go with new upper control arms or you will bottom out your old arms on the stops and the increased angle will wear out your ball joints.
  18. Does the instrument cluster now show Navigation, phone and music? What was the all in cost?
  19. Here is the picture of the install:
  20. Just buy standard upscale take off units. they are out there and the cost are getting better. you can most likely get a pair for the $600 range: I am not associated to the above, Just showing it as a reference of today pricing on Ebay. I upscaled a few years ago.
  21. From my understanding the tires naturally crown any way at speed but my wear on the tires have been consistent across the width of the tire. I rotate every oil change as well. I am only running 11.8 not 12.5 too.
  22. I did go with 35 on my stock rim but I went with a 35/11.5/20 (actual 35.4/11.8/20) to be safe. They will fit without any leveling or lift. As a note I did add a 3in front and 2in back lift after the fact. I am going to double check the spacing for my next tires but There should be enough for the 12.5 but always double check the actual real tire size versus stated. As my tire stated 35/11.5/20 but actual was 35.4/11.8/20
  23. How wide of a tire are you going to with? 11.5, 12 or 12.5. I did get 11.8 width 35's on my truck with no issues without a lift. I did add a 3in in the front and 2 in the back with Cognito arms after the fact. I would add spacers to drop the transfer case but that should be about it. Just looking at the prices for these kits and they are lot more expensive than when I did it.
