  1. This has been my experience with 2 gm dealers so far. I have nothing but contempt for their dealer network.
  2. When this happened to me they had to replace the camera. So basically, take it to the dealer, unfortunately.
  3. Sorry, I didn't notice them. I know it's no "footsteps", it's just something I would do if it wasn't too hard to get working.
  4. I found out about a year ago that the GMC's had 4 door keyless entry verus the 2 in mine. Is this something that the handles could be added to be a "plug and play"? Is there even a harness there to plug into in the rear doors? This may be a question nobody has the answer to. I am just curious.
  5. Did you have the handles painted? Or were they wrapped?
  6. Good luck. I really hope you get it fixed. I can't say I would hold my breath. I have done the same with my truck after it dropped a lifter and then would spudder again after the dealer replaced the one bank. I took it back and they were even able to see the code it threw, but they claimed the same BS of "we can't replicate it". I got them to give me warranty and the next time I will drive it until it pukes. So, unfortunately, I understand your pain with the parts flingers who work at dealers anymore.
  7. I know the GMC's did come with it. I would love to see someone attempt this. I don't know what all parts would be needed or if it's just the handles. I'm sure programming would be required.
  8. Sorry, I should specify. Are you still doing programming to remove the runtime limit of 30 minutes?
  9. Chris, is wams still doing programming?
  10. How little does he value his time? Not to mention the actual cost to drive that far everyday? He should rent a place close by for the same as he will probably spend commuting 3-4 hours a day.
  11. Maybe 99% do use their truck as a "truck", or as you put it, "to impress the jones". I don't have the data to prove/disprove this. The point is that any engineering manager worth a crap knows to design any product for the widest compatibility for their own tooling and production. So why GM chose to make something so wildly different between options is baffling. This doesn't even count the aftermarket usage. It reduces SKU's, it relies on less training as there aren't process differences. Etc. My point is that it makes no sense to design the bed, especially a lower volume bed like the CPRO, to a wildly different spec. It's just poor management.
  12. Reading is complicated. No, you make the two beds currently offered the same. Not the same as a truck from 1984. Geez. Was standardization really a complicated word? They do it with every other thing they make. I'm not surprised you didn't know.
  13. Nice reading jerk. You don't have to know "Millions" to maintain standardization so anything that worked in the past still works. Good god. Enjoy your stay in the 84%
  14. Is there a need to answer it like this? GM knows their aftermarket well and should disclose major incompatibilities. This doesn't affect me, but it's just another anedote that gm doesn't care about their customers. They don't exactly make it easy to see that "xyz" won't work. *note I'm not saying -insert brand here- is better. I'm just saying this is a specific beef with gm. This is just like the "replacing one bank of lifters" when they take a crap. I like my truck, I do not like the issues I have had.
  15. Camera source, do you have a toggle for this to keep the original camera and an add on? I want to be able to remove the topper and revert back to stock without having to drop the headliner.
  16. Pull your incabin filter out and inspect it. It might have a leaf or something hitting the blower fan. I have had this happen before. Can't say for sure this is it, but it could be.
  17. So it appears WAMS is out of the programming business. Is there any other options for this? To anyones knowledge?
  18. @asilverblazer What type of tires are these? AT's? I'm down to about 4/32's and know I will need to replace mine shortly.
  19. Ummm, are you claiming people are photoshopping their pics here for internet points? That doesn't even make sense. The reason some are getting atrocious mileage is due to having 35" tires, and/or lifts. My best (6.2) 50 mile is about 32.3, but this was a very downhill route on a two lane road. Not something I expect to see again. My normal "400 mile" is pretty consistent at about 23-24 under normal "hwy" driving. I have a high country with all seasons. I don't have AT's, which also murder mileage.
  20. I have 35 and 20 on the front and rear, respectively. NC inspections measure tint on the front, otherwise I would have went to 20 all around. My previous car was 27.5 front and 20 rear. It just made it a headache come inspection time to get it to "pass". My advice, go with legal if you have to deal with inspections. I don't regret having darker tint previously, I just hated dealing with the inspection piece. Not sure if that helps with your decision.
  21. Whats so funny? If you email the CEO, you get the executive support team. They are different from line level customer service. Are you confused by this?
  22. Just get a comma3. You are in the year window it would work if you have LKA and ACC.
  23. Did you reach out to the executive team? Email Mary and they will get back with you.
  24. blah, blah, blah. Back up your assertions with data, or please stop spreading fud. I guess we should go back to carburetors, they were so much more reliable and efficient. Damn technology.
  25. Good for you. That's why there is a choice.
