  1. If you are going to go that route. Just say Guts, Glory, Buy Back!
  2. This is not mine. Just saw it a couple of weeks ago & it was out of the rows at the dealership over the weekend. Like the contrast of some chrome back on it. 3. They made it Federal law that your physical is tied to your license a couple years back. So if the physical is out of date, the commercial part of the license is as well. Get my letter every 24 months now 90 prior to the physical expiring. & yeah the Hours of Service regs are written so they can generate revenue via fines, not safety. But at least they rolled back the restart. For a while it was written that you could only take one restart every 168 hours. Your 34 hour off duty reset also had to cover two consecutive periods between the hours of 1 am - 5 am. Apparently those who write the regs think that the rest of the world works the same as Federal offices between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm.
  4. The Fast Lane Car at debut with Mark Reuss. Driving gen5 vs gen6 back to back. V6's. Can't wait to see these in person rolling down the road.
  5. You should have the 6L80. http://www.trucktrend.com/roadtests/pickup/163_0712_2008_gmc_sierra_denali/
  6. Cannot imagine. You really have to know where you are going. Inclines off of main streets. Even some of these stores throw out those speed bumps across their parking lots can make things interesting. Just transported this out of Daytona Beach, FL to Indianapolis. I do open transport, but this should have went enclosed on a trailer that had a lift gate. Dropped my air bags & used a couple of boards trying to get the front end to lift up enough to clear the ramps. It worked, but was paranoid as can be.
  7. Looks real good, but would have been sweating bullets taking that splitter over that curb/drain edge.
  8. Think it was an option they added mid model year? Did go to GM's site just to see if anything had changed for the Z71 designation with Tahoe/Suburban. The only thing that impressed me was that they mentioned you had to get the 4wd. Synonymous with off-road performance, the Z71 package adds a front skid plate, off-road tires mounted on 18-inch wheels, a unique grille, running boards and “Z71” identification inside and out. Fog lamps, front tow hooks and front parking assist are also included. “The popular Z71 package enhances the capable look and feel of the new 2015 Tahoe and Suburban,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Marketing. “It gives customers another choice when it comes to selecting the full-size Chevrolet SUV that’s perfect for their lifestyle.” The Z71 package is available on 2015 Tahoe and Suburban LT models with 4WD, with vehicles produced starting in October. Those vehicles also benefit from additional content added midway through the launch year, including OnStar 4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless phone charging capability and hands-free liftgate operation. http://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/vehicles/tahoe/2015.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2014/Sep/0925-tahoe-suburban-z71.html
  9. Was just on autoblog looking up news & found Nissan is having long term issues with floor boards rusting out of their cars. I read the comments & saw mention of their trucks too. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/06/nissan-owners-complain-to-feds-about-rusting-floors/
  10. I like bugs the first day. To me it equals no more snow. But after the first day am over it. Hauled some steel & oil to the recycling place today. Was thinking all my junk that has been piling up over the past four or five years would have weighed more & been worth more. 420 lbs & got $19.95 for it. Guess better than having to pay to have it hauled off.
  11. So is this going to the for sale ad photo? Kidding, but given the few details that have been thrown out about the 2016, are you considering trading/selling at all or is this the forever Camaro? It looks amazing & with everything you have done, could not imagine parting with it personally.
  12. Or the Barbie mobile. It is for sale too. Cannot believe it has not sold yet. http://www.corvettecapital.com/2010-Chevrolet-Camaro-1LT-Missouri-63303/5399068
  13. Nice photos & cool dog. Have similar in color blue/grey pit mix too.
  14. Don't really want to start a new topic for this. But hope Chevrolet &/or GM marketing people keep this up Whether they use Dale Jr or a farmer out in Nebraska or what not. The heritage theme in my opinion, just works. 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj2xHwkEfzw 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eoJ4WJ7heA
  15. Washed truck around noon @ 26°. 4 of 5 bays were being used. Though by the time I got home, have only somewhat less ice/salt/winter crap on it. #%$& winter!!!
  16. Am guessing they are on the same circuit & either loose connection or bad ground. Had to replace a side marker turn signal on the Pete. Somehow I made the turn signal stay lit 100% of the time & short out the front marker light from working at all. Kept screwing with it & turned out to be the ground on the turn signal was the issue. The point is I would check the defrost wiring/connections where possible.
  17. Was reading the other day Chrysler/Ram is bringing it back on the trucks. The article mentioned they only switched to straight black after the earthquake/tsunami in Japan a couple years ago. A major component of the color was either sourced or the tech was based there.
  18. I mean this with all due respect. Dumb a**, (said in the Red Foreman tone from that 70's show) be careful what you wish for. It has been sub zero wind chills in IL most of the week & cannot wait until this crap is gone. Suppose to be 31(will wash truck) Sunday to get the salt off. But that 31 degree temp has a ice/snow storm following it Sunday eve into Monday & the temps go right back down to single digits. My joke & thoughts of winter aside, this crash on I94 in MI has been on the news the past couple of hours. Sad day for multiple families & in particular for the one life that was lost. http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2015/01/09/i-94-pileup-kalamazoo-county/21500281/
  19. I know they are going to hold their value long term. But curious how much of a dip there may be in the next 12-18 months when the Gen6 is on the street. Seems the C6 Corvettes held their value pretty well, but now that winter has set in & a full year of the C7 they have fallen off a bit. Which is somewhat typical of winter with sports cars. My point is optimistically this time next year a similar ZL1 may be $34-$35 grand?
  20. I would be mad/frustrated as well. I do auto transport & when the used trucks/suv's are on the top deck, I get to see the various stages of rust on the bottom side. Some are perfect at 5 years & some look 50 years old at the same time frame among ALL the mfg's. Some are frame only, axles, others are suspension components while others are the entire under carriage. Again, there has been no rhyme or reason between them. Have posted a photo before of a new 2012 or 13 F150 that still had the window sticker & the rear axle was completely covered in surface rust. Moved a 2010 Ford Escape last summer at an auction that the rear quarter panels were completely rusted through around the wheel wells. Not just a bubble or two, but rusted through. Not bashing Ford, but those were two of the more extreme cases I remember off hand. Ram seems to have more issue initially with the suspension stuff & Toyota has been more so the frame rails. GM has been a variable. Personally own a 2013 Sierra & nothing in terms rust to speak of, yet.
  21. What is life w/o a little risk? $53,8XX? http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=45780&endYear=2015&modelCode1=CAM&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=2014&makeCode1=CHEV&searchRadius=0&showcaseListingId=0&trim1=CAM%7CZ%2F28&mmt=%5BCHEV%5BCAM%5BCAM%257CZ%252F28%5D%5D%5B%5D%5D&listingId=383661682&Log=0
  22. Here is the install directions with photos on the 900 series. Everyone has a different version of plug & play is the only reason am posting it here. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/105656-heated-steering-wheel-install-in-gmt-900-sierra/
  23. They let you take one for a quick test drive right? Was around some of those running at a mine out in NV a few years ago. Amazed at how fast they were running.
  24. Have not seen this posted on this forum yet. 12 minutes long, but 800+ hp awd 65 Mustang.
