  1. This works for me. Set it up as an accessory, so truck doesn't add up towing miles... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C4AYR3U?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  2. Are you referring to the 2024? My 21, 22 and 23 with advanced trailering, the 12v+ at the bumper 7way and in the bed are hot at all times.
  3. What is your definition of "seems fine"? Did you use a test light on both sides, ohm'ed it out, continuity test or replaced with know good fuse?
  4. Nobody wants a "loose rear end"! Well, maybe some congress interns.
  5. Yeah, it will do it within the first 2 seconds after ignition. When it's cold, I will reach in, left hand on brake pedal, right hand reaching in and hit start button. Truck surged forward, what seemed like a foot when you're on the outside! It probably was only a rocking back and forth motion. Truck must load up the transmission, like a power stall, to heat up fluid. Does it every cold start that it idles up when cold. A few minutes later it will unload the tranny and idle down a couple of rpm's.
  6. What do you mean by "out of service", is it torn down? For no more of a leak from your picture, I'd of picked it up after the first week of waiting. Check oil every morning and run it. Throw a collapsed amazon box under it when parked in garage. No excuse for what you are going through.
  7. Thank you.
  8. Do you have the part number for the front skid plate? I've read this thread 3 times and I don't see it listed.
  9. Truck might be mileaged out.
  10. Dam, I got caught up in a one and done poster. Atleast this topic is from this year. I really need to read the fine print and stop looking at pictures!
  11. Anyone know how the rv industry was able/allowed to get this simple standard total wacked up?
  12. I think we are confused. The truck side and trailer side are functionality identical. It's just the color of wire that's different. The truck plug is colored coded to what I call SAE. The RV plug is colored coded differently. The plug pin location of the truck operates the same function whether it a rv/camper or a gooseneck/dump trailer. I honestly have not re-pinned a trucks factory 7way. But what the OP is saying from taking a test light to the truck, the wiring is clocked wrong. He needs to take it to a dealership and let them deal with it under warranty.
  13. And then it rains. But you have to admit, living on that dirt road is better than in the city.
  14. Lot of people carry one, but I haven't for 20 years... a knife/utility knife.
  15. Could the cold weather power steering hose kit that is available cure this? I've always wondered what gm had this kit for?
  16. It is retained by the snap ring you can see in your screenshot. A couple of pry bars and a quick jerk should release the splined coupler.
  17. Do you have a link for the 3 gang switch assembly? Did not know there was that option. All I have installed/seen/came oem, were the 5 gang switch assembly.
  18. Yes that would be correct. As the gm factories just slap axles in from AAM.
  19. You all are checking the front diffs also, right?
  20. https://www.ebay.com/p/21028575030
  21. I know this is for the 2500/3500. I am assuming the headlight switch would work the same as a 1500. The switch is not a normal trigger switch (+/-). It uses different resistance values for functions, relayed to the bcm. I'm including a screenshot of the upfitters body building page...
  22. Yeah, it's close, like .50" gap. It has to be more than 260#, cause that's what I weigh, and I don't crawl up or down on it now, knowing it won't hit.
  23. Before the fob to unlock, we had a key for that also. ETA... in the day, you had to hold the key in the crank position, pump accel pedal or hold to floor. Standing on your head helped once in awhile, too!
