  1. It also depends on what criteria someone is using for “best” when talking filters. Are we going off best efficiency? Best quality/QC? Etc. because the two may not mutually exclusive.
  2. They’re not the same wiz as 10-15 years ago. QC has fallen pretty hard. The XP line was never good though in the first place. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/wix-filter-rusted-through.386492/post-6991372 https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/i-ve-used-my-last-wix-filter.27299/ https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/looking-for-a-better-replacement-for-wix-51258.403977/ https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/convince-me-in-using-the-purolator-boss.401537/post-7420147 the forums are littered with posts and examples of not great wix filters the last couple years
  3. Not sure why this is people’s go to when they get defensive and wrong. It’s not about it blowing up right this second. It’s about taking care of your stuff. If you could get one of two products that cost extremely similar or the same but one is markedly better, why wouldn’t you get the better one? Literally makes no sense.
  4. Used to* and wix xp efficiency is god awful
  5. Oh dear god why
  6. Oh, I see what you're saying now. The *combined* weight of everything being more than 2x the weight. The way you worded it made it seem like you were talking about the trailer itself being more than 2x the truck. At the end of the day, it's a figure of speech. If you're hungry, could you really eat a 900lb horse? No. If you were mad at someone, is a sane, reasonable, logical person really going to kill the other person? No. Does anyone really not notice a big camper behind them or that notice being 0%? No, of course not.
  7. The curb weight on a 1 ton crew cab long bed is around 7k lbs. Now, I don't know where you went to school but 9k is not more than 2x 7k lbs. More than 2x 7k lbs would be 14k+. With that said, obviously yes you're going to feel a 9k lb trailer when slowing down. I already said, when accelerating. When changing lanes? No. But if you look at the context of what was quoted, the original person said, "after a mile or two..." which means that would be after the accelerating portion and you're driving a generally steady pace. Please do learn to read and comprehend.
  8. I have a 36' bumper 9k FR and unless it's super windy, the only way you know its there is when rolling out from a stop.

  10. Is it an optical illusion in the pic or is the truck really squatting that much horribly?
  11. Sliding doors ftw Also, Sienna ftw as well. The in-laws got a 2024-2025 recently when their 2019 sienna was totaled due to a deer back in June. They've been getting 38-40mpg on the 65mph highway they live on.
  12. Installed mine today. Wasn't bad at all, took about 15-20mins or so, had to get up off the ground and get a socket or two so that took some time. But yeah, not bad.
  13. It comes with directions but yes, generally, it's the same. Also, get you the dipstick stuff to install dipstick so you have one.
  14. yup https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/price-of-amsoil-going-up-at-midnight.407860/
  15. Yes, thats the PPE pan. Or if one wanted a little cheaper and the raw finish: https://www.jegs.com/i/PPE-Power/795/128051900/10002/-1
  16. Better than stock but that's like putting lipstick on a pig
  17. This. Amsoil SVG is top tier. The only other fluid I would run would be HPL for the diffs. Transfer case, any ole Dex-VI works fine. Walmart has the Valvoline red and blue bottles. Or you could go with Amsoil as well.
  18. That thang looks pretty stinkin beefy. The drop-in plug and play is amazing as well. I think that's a winner.
  19. I got the Z71 one to go with my Z71....gotten a few compliments on it so far from people that knew it wasn't factory but couldn't put their finger on it lol
  20. Whilst not the same vehicle or system, our 2019 Honda Odyssey brakes were doing a similar thing. It would take 2-3 pumps to get them to engage 100%. If you put the pedal down, it was like they were 25-50% of normal. Dealer did a brake fluid flush as there was a TSB, no change. It wasn't until I put new brake pads on that they finally started working correctly. I changed out the rotors after that as well. Been going good for a year now. In the future, any brake issues like that, brake pads and/or rotors will be the 1st thing checked.
  21. My last couple sets I got from RockAuto
  22. Have you tried hooking up the plow whilst the truck is already in 4hi/lo?

  24. Falken Wildpeak Toyo OC 3 Cooper Discoverer Yokohama GO15 Michelin Defenders Contintental H/T TerrainContact Mickey Thompson Baja those are the top tires nowadays
  25. I know this post is from 2020 but when my 2018 was in the shop in July for this, the GM dealer said it was becoming more increasingly common. As well as the hood sensor/switch failing.
