  1. Made a trip to Paducah, KY 2 weeks ago for a retriever event. 1100+miles from my place in South-central NoDak. 2500+miles roundtrip in less than 2 weeks. These 2 photos are after filling up in Aberdeen, SD and driving 1/2 tank.................... Wound up averaging just under 23mpg for the tank and got 667+ miles on the tank. I should mention that I did have a 25-30mph NNW wind behind me a good chunk of the way. Milage dropped when I had to go straight East in Missouri, and the wind more of a crosswind vs. behind. Not complaining at all. Drove truck at 70-72mph. Also rolled 260k on the clock on the homeward bound trip.

  2. That sounds terrible, and is definitely not right. I've no idea what it could be though. This thread would probably get more traction in the Engine section.
  3. To the turbo 4 cylinder fan boy sticky????
  4. Transmission filter is essentially a "coffee filter/strainer".......................imperetive...........NO.......................feel good about doing it....................priceless.
  5. My 3rd set of OEM plugs keep my '16 going.............even in these temps.............
  6. Bump to top................. How do these engines do in weather like this.....................this was low overnight. this is current at 1:00pm....
  7. You couldn't figure out what info he wanted from that??
  8. I started pulling 1 gallon/4 quarts out the tranny dipstick tube at 45,000 miles on my 2016. Been doing that about every 15,000 miles since. Every now and then I'll pull out an extra 10oz. of fluid, and add a bottle of LubeGard Red with the new fluid. Almost 254,000 miles on the OEM unit, pan never dropped and filter/strainer never changed. I tow a lot, and do a lot of highway miles also.
  9. 05F52B34-AAB0-4EB3-AC85-139DD1C2306E.heic 253,4xx now.
  10. I have a Discount Tire house brand on my truck now called Rocky Mountain All Terrain in size 265/70 17. They have almost 61,000 miles on them, and have at least half the tread left. I love them.
  11. Check that notorious ground by the drivers side A-pillar. There's been numerous threads here about it. The ground does have a name, but I cannot remember it right now.
  12. I'm still interested/intrigued by this engine.............if'n I need to buy before I want to.
  13. Suck a gallon of ATF from the dipstick tube..................and replace with fresh ATF!!! For now................
  14. Put a raw egg under your gas pedal!!!!
  15. I was a big Cooper Tire guy until I put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S on my 2016. Stock size P265/70 17. I did get a lot of miles out of them; but they wore awful on the inside and outside and were howling going down the road toward the end. Every Chevy 1500 I see with these Coopers on them has the same scallopy tire wear. IMHO; it's inherent to the design of the tire. I have a "house brand" from Discount Tire on my 2016 now call Rocky Mountain AT.................They are wear great and do not show the same wear as the Coopers. A lot cheaper also. Have almost 60,000 on them now.
  16. Sorry; missed this post. Been doing it for over 5 years after lifter failure and engine re-build. Engine rebuilder said anything 30w or higher..............none of that "0w water crap"..............his words. She's a 5.3 with 241,2xx on her now. Rebuild was at 106,****** miles. Yeah; I drive a fair bit.
