  1. Replaced mine at 150k on my '16
  2. Isn't the ABS module below/under the drivers seat??
  3. At what mileage SHOULD he be checking oil level?????
  4. You'll likely suffer the same; if not more, mileage loss with the 2.7 turbo. Why???????? More air resistance, more rotating mass, worser gear ratios, and you'll be in boost more often because of prior. There's a reason why this 2.7 only gets about the same MPG as the v8's.
  5. Anyone????
  6. Had this pop up on the DIC today. No CEL, just the notice on the DIC. About 15 minutes later; without shutting engine off, I was at an O'Reilly's with a code reader on it. No codes stored. The owners manual doesn't give hardly any info on this. Weather is rainy, crazy humid, about 70*. Truck has 234,7xx miles on her and did brakes a year ago next month. Brakes feel normal. Insight anyone??
  7. Do the trailer brakes work when connected to another vehicle???
  8. After the delete is done; go to at least a 5w30 weight oil also. LT1swap.com for the ECM.
  9. In order to find out things about the operation of your truck, why not check the "owners manual"..........................................what a concept!!
  10. Why not get a "1 size larger diameter tire"; not wider, just taller, and drive in M7 all the time to keep it out of 2 cylinder mode to eliminate the oil pumping action of dead cylinders??!!!
  11. I had a "non-AFM" lifter go bad on my 2016 at 106, 2xx miles............................ran in M5 around suburbia, and used Range device for long Interstate highways from less than 300miles on the clock..............................I feel your pain.......................
  12. My '16 starts up, and runs real quiet with QS 5w40 Euro blend.
  13. I pulled the OnStar module out of my 2016. Hated GM knowing where, what, how and when I drive. Wouldn't surprise me if they sell that all that info to auto insurance companies. Only thing I don't have since the module removal, other than no OnStar, is I don't have the "compass" feature in the DIC.
  14. You a "part-time" philosopher???
  15. I'm truly amazed at all the folks that just blindly abide by what the "stealer service thieves" tell them!!! And then when they drive off the lot and the issue resurfaces....................they go back again!!!!
  16. Does it work for the 4 cylinder Turbo??? Granted; totally different system for cylinder deactivation, but just axing.
  17. That was right after ULSD came out. Added to prevent lift pump, injectors, and/or VP44/CP3 injection pump wear. My '04.5 Dodge/Cummins didn't mind at all even with the kitty left in place.
  18. Back in my diesel driving days; I used to add 2 stroke oil to the diesel fuel I put into my truck. 1/2oz per 1 gallon of diesel. So usually just under 16oz per fill up.
  19. If your lifter wiped out the cam; you'd be foolish not to tear down the whole engine and rebuild. If the cam is toast; it most likely sent shrapnel thru the whole engine, possibly damaging some/all bearings, oil pump, cylinder walls, lifter bores, vacuum pump, etc. before even some of it got caught by the oil filter. 125,3xx miles on my total rebuild in 3.5 years. Deleted AFM, new cam (BTR....mild upgrade), new oil pump, vacuum pump, bearings, valve springs, etc................just like mentioned above. ECM done by LT1 swap.com...............but I've got a 2016............but essentially the same, save for tuning/ECM. Granted you've the latest generation.................the ECM is what adds to the $$$$$
  20. Can't hardly believe the OP has put up with this for a YEAR now!!!!!!!
  21. I'm continually amazed by folks that post here and put less than 3-5k miles on their trucks annually!!!! As if we're supposed predicate our trucks service based on your "lack of use"!!!! All based on your "driveway" queen!!! 231k.....................
  22. 231,2xx on my 2016................
