  1. Changing the oil does not repair a mechanical concern people !!!!! ,,, Waste of money
  2. I've already answered you , do not use 2 different threads on same complaint
  3. The bulletin is in the GM system and is for the tech not a customer to demand , sweet lord I wish you guys knew WTF a bulletin is for , You couldn't be anymore distrusting than spout off a TSB # to a dealer service writer never mind a tech who has to read it in the work order , , Paranoid is a word that comes to mind ,,,, Get a grip
  4. What's your problem pal !!! I admitted it was a bigger servo after I saw a pic of the 2 together so piss off ya turd !!!!
  5. I like vettes just fine , I just don't buy the hype, servos don't get bigger area in the same housing , I'll have to research this thing , I rebuilt a few 60s , Sorry mr too tall if I struck a nerve , we cant get under rocks at this time of the year ..... It's to cold outside lol I was only having a convo about it , sorry to all, Well I took a look and can see the difference in the servos , $17 , worth it , I was thinking of another servo , All good
  6. How does a sealed disc "provide more apply pressure"? Does the little disc tell the the pump to ramp up pressure somehow ???? Come on ... And there is only one band in a 60 , Try again Guys are bonkers and hear the word vette and ya go nuts , come on ....
  7. rebuild time ,,,you have a truck not a vette
  8. Sounds legit , just don't throw parts at "going to start with flex lines" check them don't just change 'em
  9. To get the OPs attn from this site you should hit quote and ask , then it'll be emailed to him that someone quoted a post of his , , IMO you have some issues. Either stuck Pistons in calipers , calasped brake flex lines or master cyl concerns or caliper slides are dry and near seized , (1 pad thinner than the other will diag that easily ) If you have no experience , just take it to a garage for public safety sake and yours
  10. the old days yes ,now ,not so much ,ya want to know ,? get a scanner and watch the data
  11. yes but its not as obvious like ear;ier yrs where ya can see the 200 rpm jump ....its PWM now and that means its ramped up and ya dont feel it ,,,, somebody needs to post a description and operation for the tow/haul system,,,i cant right now
  12. Diagnostic Trouble Code , Someone should supply descrip and operation , it either changes shift points or adjusts transmission oil pressure to hold clutches stronger You can purchase Alldata.com for $27/yr
  13. Don't start with a conspiracy theory , if the tow haul doesn't work then there is a DTC ,, it may be a pressure change , if some one can get a description and operation for him and post it , that would be great, The reason I ask is I don't have access on my tablet on vaca , I don't want to guess as to the programming change during the tow/haul operation
  14. Did they hook up a scanner at all ?
  15. OP , your airbag system (SRS) is disabled while there is a fault present
  16. warranty,not your problem
  17. Sorry for guessing on the internet as the truck is not in my service bay sir
  18. No break in period
  19. Oil is always a guess IMO , each component holds so much . Adding during a recharge is about 2oz ., or what came out during a recovery(some machines ), Take it back but you supplied the compressor so idk what they'll do for ya Good luck
  20. The machine puts in what the truck sticker says so over charge is not the problem, It's mounted to the engine with no rubber mounts , if it's vibrating it's the compressor and nothing more , but have a real tech look at it before you have it recovered and warranty it , Do you see a sticker on the truck and the receipt with matching recharge #s? Did he put oil in the system ? .
  21. wow,not knowing how to cheat sure costs alot of money eh? but as long as its done right you're fine with it i bet lol,,,poor bugger
  22. ya mean they didnt have that question answered before ya left ? every shop is different $/hr so next question ,,,,,,anyone ? ,thx for playin lol
  23. I'd get my money back and never buy a used transmission again , if you're keeping the truck , get a rebuilt transmission or have your old one estimated IMO you're wasting your time
