Scan the truck ,
Get service information $27/yr from alldata and look up some easy diagnoses and fuse location
And to follow the code after you get. It pulled , either from the PCM or BCM
You HAVE to recover it at a shop ,
If you try and cheat your way thru this aweful job , it WILL bite you ,
IT IS A MAJOR PITA !!!! Not a job for a DYI home wrench , at least look into Alldata . Com
Have the hvac recovered ,
Remove dash braces and brackets
SO ALL THATS LEFT IS THE HVAC AIR BOX !!!
Remove it , separate the box, replace the half and reinstall,,,
It is a bitch of a job , take pics for harness routing etc etc etc , take notes
What aren't you getting about the module having a code to have diagnosed , no one is going to chime in as you haven't gotten it scanned for someone to say " ya I had that code " !!!!
Come back with a code and I'll personally look it up for you on my service information
Other than that have a nice day
There IS a code , just not where you're looking , I'm not sure what the computer is called off hand ,CSCM,,Charging System Control Module
Not pulled by a POS scanner
No cel is lit up for this code as it's NOT an engine code
You know the tech recovering the system will record the oil removed right ?
You know the the tech charging the system will put oil in right ?
You know the tech knows what he's doin right ?
If yes , why is the amount important to you ?
Weird is all imo
Cluster is done , you cannot replace it yourself as it comes empty and the tech programs it and the mileage ,
Sorry
You never said if they scanned it ?
