  1. Found one for $139 shipped so I figured I would give it a try.... guess I'll find out next week what it sounds like.
  2. Finally got some better pics.... figured I would share one.
  3. I did not have to remove the front axle nut. Dropping the lower a-arm per the directions provided more than enough room to remove the struts. Keep a jack under the lower a-arm to keep it from 'over extending' while lowering and it will be needed for raising the lower a-arm after putting the strut back in (help during this process was helpful though it can be done alone, the wife helped me with the passenger side which made things go a bit smoother). Be careful when working around the boots (I paid special attention not to pinch / tear them when removing / replacing the strut assembly). It really was a easy process if you take your time and have moderate mechanical skill.
  4. I’m sure that most of that is so the lift manufacturers cover themselves in the event that sticks don’t fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Good looking truck. I debated going bigger before I ordered the 3.5” but figured this would be a good all around loft. I’m very pleased with the outcome and would do it again. I’m now debating what exhaust to go with. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have always preferred sticking with a factory wheel but Fuel Rebels in bronze have really tempted me. The ‘want’ list for my truck is long so wheels will be the least of worries (tonneau cover and exhaust are higher on the list right now). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. About 1/4”.... Close but not much less than factory. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. The final product... not the best picture but at least it's clean!
  9. Has anyone used the AFE muffler below? Feeling on it? By the time you can pay a muffler shop to install an aftermarket muffler, it looks like this may be a cheaper alternative? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Finally pulled the trigger on a set of Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires today. I went with 35x11.50-R20 on factory wheels (no spacers) and they fit with no scrubbing and clear upper control arms. I’ll have some pictures as soon as the weather in N.C. cooperates. Very pleased with this choice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I pulled my factory off, scuffed / cleaned, and painted with multiple coats of Krylon red followed with several coats of clear coat. Easy to do but don't make the same mistake I did and rush trying to put them back on... marked up the paint a bit pushing through the plastic cover. Give them several days to dry and you will not have any issues.
  12. Thanks, that’s the size my dealer told me he had put on a few trucks he lifted at his dealership. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. After ~8 hrs, I got the RC lift on (working by myself). It wasn't a bad process though disassembly and reassembly of the struts almost made me throw in the towel (thanks goodness for pneumatic tools to tighten the compression tools). I ended up with 3.5" in the front and 2.5" in the rear which leveled the truck at 41.5" on all four corners... very happy with the outcome. Now all I am debating is what size tire to go with (leaning towards the Nitto Ridge Grappler in 35x11.50) and whether to keep stock wheels or take the plunge and order a set of Fuel Rebels in bronze. If you have a similar setup, post some pics up of Nitto Ridge Grapplers with stock or aftermarket wheels with details of offset, etc.
  14. Thanks, just put my lift on this weekend and I’m leaning towards the 35x11.50 on factory wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Are you running spacers on the factory wheels?
  16. Yes, RC 3.5” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I think I will be installing a Rough Country 3.5" kit on my 2019 1500 Silverado this weekend (the wife has been on me to get it lifted and the final straw was a guy at working ragging me after another coworker parked his AT4 beside mine lol). Has anyone documented an install of a Rough Country 3.5" lift on a new body 1500 truck? For anyone that has installed one of these kits, do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
  18. You truck looks great... much cleaner! I did this a few weeks ago but had to put the antenna back on (rural area and the one radio station that I normally listen to for a morning talk show would not work at all). I guess I'll have to go with a shorter antenna so I still have reception but don't have the overly tall antenna in place. Has anyone tried one of the HD antennas that appear to be shorter? You would think that GM would not use an antenna of this style because these trucks look much better without it and they have proven with other GM vehicles that it is not needed (can be integrated into glass, etc).
  19. What size Tires? Any spacers on the wheels? Your truck is perfect IMO.
  20. Looks great, I have a RC 3.5" waiting in the garage.... hope it looks as good as this. Are you running any type of spacer on the wheels?
  21. I ordered my letters (BD Trims) from Amazon and got them in 2 days.... gotta love Prime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. BD Trims silver inserts on white.... wanted something subtle, very pleased with their product and the way it turned out.
  23. Rob41... Are you still happy with this setup? I just bought a 2019 and a lift is in the very near future and I really like your setup.
