  1. HT tires are are ugly too but they perform a lot better on road then AT tires and you get better MPG's with them
  2. Umm ya, 6L80 thats what I meant. Guess that would be why I didn't find much info on the swap...I just wish I could get better MPGs. Doesn't look very viable or cost effective. Slemmer, you have a great looking truck. Trade? if your looking for better MPG's, some simple things to do are replace plugs and 02 sensors, get HT tires and keep them properly inflated, and most importantly just dont drive it hard
  3. been through 2 DUI checkpoints already.. if your planning on going to the bars, get a ride
  4. No girls where you're from or what?? Lolololol hahaha well sadly enough i have a girlfriend so i dont have to burn my own hand
  5. thats a good looking truck
  6. replaced an oxygen sensor and burn my hand
  7. my friend has a 12' 3500 d-max and i put my hand on the tailgate right next to the bowtie and my hand completley pushed in the metal.. not to mention the GMT900 bumpers will crumple like tin foil
  8. idk what it is about the 99-02 style trucks. i know they are the same as the 03-07 but they just seem to last longer
  9. castech head are very uncommon
  10. installed new rear pads and had my rotors machined
  11. depends if you want a payment or not. i have a 2003 also, id also like to get a newer dmax but i dont owe anything on my truck an havent since i bought it. and even after 125,000 miles it still rides good and is in great shape and i cant enough money for the truck at this point to get rid of it
  12. i grew the balls and took the trim off of my 2003 silverado. luckily, even after 120,000 miles of never being garaged, there was 0 discoloration or fading. turned out perfectly thanks to the 3M eraser wheel. i cannot stress enough on how much of a godsend the 3M eraser wheel is.. anyone debadging or removing trim GET AN ERASER WHEEL. took the trim off my 2001 by hand and scraper and goo gone and it took 4 hours.
  13. 3 years and 30k on pads? lucky you thats pretty damn good. brake dust is annoying but i just spray purple power on it and it wipes right off.
  14. i track the fuel on my truck and im seeing 15.5 MPG too. if you have over 100k, weird shift and the trans doing unusual things gets normal.
  15. just buy it and suffer the consequences
  16. have fun waiting mine didn't go till around 278000 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I927 using Tapatalk 2 idk i have bad luck.. the 4L60 in my 03 suburban that i had completley blew at 115k
  17. i just hit 123,456 miles yesterday.. waiting for my trans to go
  18. Dang it let me sleep! Lol mine's been getting less than 50 mi a week. Saving lots of money right now. Way less gas than I burned in high school. Sarah, 100k miles is basically new. Get to 200k, then consider selling. damn lucky you.. 50 miles a week. i do about 800 a week
  19. i cant stand when people drive in the left lane and dont move over. luckily the headlights on my truck shine into the windows and blind any type of car in front of and the get out of the way quicker Mine do too, but in daylight it doesn't affect people. that is a valid point i didnt mention
  20. i cant stand when people drive in the left lane and dont move over. luckily the headlights on my truck shine into the windows and blind any type of car in front of and the get out of the way quicker
  21. looks awesome. are you going to take the Z71 sticker off?
  22. your lucky.. but i also kind of like inspection because it really is unsafe to not have your vehicle inspected. emissions is a pain in the ass though
  23. haha if someone did that around where i am they would have their truck smashed or house burnt
  24. I remember "trenching" in high school. My S10 was great for it my F350 dually, not so much trenching is always a good time especially if its in someones yard you dont like
