You either will love it or hate it... well I was the latter. Hard on fuel, zero power, cheap inside with half the featured any domestic offers for the same price... uncomfortable seats, poorly built etc. Mine was a 2015...but it's gone now... so I am okay with it. I love the power thing... yeah 5.3's are sacks.. I don't buy 5.3's lol. Even a 5.7 Ram will stomp a Toyota... and that's not saying a lot. Denali pickups had rear discs from 07 through 13... as did the 07 to 09 Vortec Max 6 liter trucks... or most of them anyway I should say with those. 2009+ 6.2 1/2 tons all had rear disc as well. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk

So my air box lid has a big old dent in it enough so that air intake tube boot leaks... and I have oily mud trails in my intake manifold.... How in the hell that even happens I have no idea...So... I am going to just get a full aftermarket air intake and be done with it. My factory air box on my old 05 fought me forever and dusted my 6 liter multiple times... now this... sigh... lol. I like this truck but it keeps fighting me with ridiculous bullshit... like this. I think I might trade the heap in. .. on the one I wanted in the first place. It's my current trucks twin but in brownstone with cocoa dune... This other truck is still new on the lot a year later... Next order of business is engine driven accessories and harness/ fuel system. At least with my truck being TBI that part is somewhat easier. I think I am going to order a kit from PSI... they sell everything together like a few other outfits do as well... but PSI also sells Dirty Dingo and whatnot.. so it's a one stop shop. I just need to confirm with them that they are cool with setting up my TCM to run an older 13 pin 4L60E and not a 15 pin unit with the ISS mine does not have. Accessories I think will be Corvette... Oh... for more fun my old K5's a/c of course is dead so I figured i would try and charge it. Jumpered out the low pressure switch and the compressor fired right up and sounded okay. Grabbed the old red tek and yeah... it is blowing out somewhere as quickly as it goes in. I am hoping it's the condenser but I will see.. a/c isn't priority anyway lol. LS3, 60E and axle swap is. What low end power... a TBI 350 is a gutless sack and has been for decades now. However.. it makes the tuned port 350 in my Blazer feel weak and it has 4.56's behind it lol. Bingo... they have no torque.. and they aren't impressive empty either. Mine loaded with maybe 800 lbs of gear and stock size 10 ply tires is an utter dog.... 10 plies made a huge difference over the stock p rated Michelins.. first truck I noticed that especially staying with the exact stock size. My employees 2014 5.3 Silverado ( also with 10 plies and probably more weight in the back) doesn't feel any different to drive to me than the Tundra... so where all this complaining about power comes from is beyond me. I drive a 15 6.2 and it skull drags a Tundra no contest... Oddly the only truck I have driven beyond my old 05 Sierra that has a driveline vibration about 75 mph is the Tundra... I should take it in and bitch but I honestly don't care. Toyota's service here is a joke so it's not worth the effort either... I can't bothered with a service writer and department full of guys that can't speak English. Next dealership is a 2.5 hour drive... for more non English speaking goombas lol. If I could find vibrating K2XX I would like to see what it's like. We test drove a bunch of low mile trades finding that 14 for my one guy to run and not one of them vibrated... so that couldn't have been the reason they were dumped. Neither of my F150s vibrated... nor did my Titan or my Ram. The Titan had some serious problems and wallowed like a boat in the ocean and would take off on you on the highway.. Pretty straightforward Bill... I own a Tundra along with a bunch of other trucks and it's for sale. The Tundra forums supposedly have no complaints... well yeah like any other manufacturers forum they sure do. Any of you unhappy GM owners are welcome to buy my Tundra and join their ranks to see for yourselves lol. It doesn't need to be in my company fleet and I simply don't need that headache. I am on the Tundra forums and I own a 2015 Tundra as well as the truck has not sold yet. I own a bunch of trucks and this one needs to go... it holds no purpose. I would not recommend the truck to anyone.... Slow, uncomfortable to ride in, terrible on fuel and don't ever drive it on something that isn't a paved surface. I am on most major GM forums.. actually all of them lol. It's not that big of a complaint in the grand scheme. They are not a perfect tranny... kind of like the 6 speed still isn't nor ever will be.
