  1. It's not like the C7 Vettes for the most part even sound good... I don't know how or what they do to screw up that engines exhaust note but GM has it down pat for sure. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  2. Because that junk will just keep melting. You really need to shop some yards... E fan harness isn't even part of the engine harness anyway. That and it's not that expensive new from GM.. It's the forward lighting harness. But you are right it's cheaper to patch that... Until you come out one day to an underhood fire. I have seen two of those scab aftermarket ones light up.. In real life.. Not pictures off the internet. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  3. Oem harness fixes all those problems lol Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  4. Of the stick.... maybe $20. Probably a lot cheaper if you are in the States.
  5. GM sells one and it matches. Get used to chips... Mine hit point break and I repainted the drivers box side lol Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  6. True but at that point a good chunk of the original buyers quit caring... Because it's traded hands 3 times, warranty is long gone and it's life. If you want a 100000 mile plus vehicle that's on you and buyer beware I guess. Some guys buy them and drive them for decades.. Yes I know as on one truck I am doing that ( not this 2015 though in my case) ... But just as many or more do not drive beyond the warranty period. It will be a roll of the dice... Just like buying an afm equipped one since 07 is and hoping the rings aren't coked in the afm cylinders. But really... An intake service at 115000 miles isn't anything insane in ownership either. 7. It's dirt lol... I didn't pull this intake to show you people my valves specifically.... No one here is that special haha... But the opportunity arose so why not when I'm there. I pulled it to wash it out from a significant intake leak that filled it with dust... Including of course the cylinder head ports. It's what happens when somehow the stock airbox dents in around the tube clamp. None the less yes the valves were clean and the buildup was so minimal it's nonexistent. The discoloration of the valve is nothing more than that... Discoloration. It wasn't white either... That's the camera flash causing that color you see. It's nothing like some of the messes people post on here. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  8. Good for them haha. Point is that at the mileage the op is being fleeced at for a service if it was my truck... Well it's a waste of money. I broke mine in hard and subsequently hand in hand with good ring seal I don't have an oil slobbering disaster. Does the op? Pull the manifold and take a peek or fish a camera down the throttle body. He could do the old sea foam method if he is concerned... Which is in a likelihood all the dealer would do anyway. We are on our third run of these direct injected things at work since debut and they get about 80000 to 90000 miles in a year on a fleet of about 20 trucks I get to interact with. Not one yet has had a cleaning of any form and all run OK... Plus idle for hours on end. Is some performance over day one lost... Probably... Is it enough to warrant walnut blasting every 25000 miles or even ever... Probably not. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  9. That's about 24000 miles on my 6.2... The intake valves look just fine. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  10. I yarded mine out and just tightened up the stock bolts again. Even if you feel you need to replace them the stock length is a non issue. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  11. All that smack talk about not ever plaguing someone else... And then you put it up for average market value on Kijiji... Should have just traded it in on the Yota..... Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  12. Pins, bushings and anti rattle clips on my 05 1500HD. Should be quiet for a week or 2... Then right back to rattle rattle rattle over any bumps. Such a stupid annoying design... This is like the fifth or sixth time now. I hadn't done them for quite a while and some of the rubber bushings in the brackets were almost gone. Doesn't help using the wrong length pins in the fronts either lol. That's like 80000 miles with pins that were too short. Also trying to dry the drivers footwell out as its sopping wet. The carpet and underlay are completely soaked with water... how or why.. I dunno.. just need to get it dry. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  13. Detailing is way too much work... lol... but I agree claying is just a non intrusive cleaning process. Clean clay is key though... don't just reuse tge contaminated crap over and damage tge paint... then you are sanding. It does work well and I have done it myself... nowdays I will just pay someone to do it lol. I had an entire car covered in overspray and clay ed it back to decency again. 14. Yep... Mines fine... But it never really bothered me in the first place lol. Maybe you should have read the forum before you bought the truck rather than after the fact... Mind you I really don't take the moaning and complaining on this particular forum too seriously. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  15. Or the stator as I had done to mine. It's a lot more common than them giving you a new transmission. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  16. My one employee picked up a low mileage used 2014 and his fob although not as bad as the op looks quite similar. In fact we test drove a few 2014's on his hunt and all of them has screwed up looking fobs with peeling and fading. My 2015 is sitting at 25000 miles and it's, fob looks new so... I don't know lol. For programming it may be interesting if Dorman releases a tool for it. I just added fobs to the used 2004 Malibu we have and that same kit works on vehicles through 2012 or later all of which require dealer programming. They aren't the kind you can do lock cycle sequences to program with like my 05 Sierra as an example. The car has command start among all your other normal functions. It's just a stick you plug in the obd port and then press and hold lock and unlock simultaneously. Beats paying GM or finding a locksmith. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  17. Employees dad doing it... cheap. I lucked out and hired a guy who has a whole family of bodymen and painters. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  18. It's a shop doing it... I can't stand body work. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  19. Repaint almost complete on the drivers boxside. Why? Just GM'S shitty paint job driving me nuts... Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  20. Radio plays relatively loudly in my shop 24/7.... mice still are in the building and get under the hood of vehicles. Leaving the hoods open pretty much keeps them away though. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  21. The rear block is out... Never liked that silly rake. Peeled all the trim, swapped colored door handles and skull caps on the mirrors as well black bowties. I got the colored mirror caps and handles for free so that was okay... And the 22's new in the GM packaging for less than half of new. Next is 2" shackles in the rear and 2" spindles up front I have had sitting in a box for a couple months. Chrome was the only way to get this truck... Chev has no options with this color and an LTZ.. It's a 6.2 which is the only reason I bought it. Sent from my PURE XL using Tapatalk
  22. I have a 2/3 belltech drop sitting here for it and then aesthetically I am more or less done with it. Yes the backrack and decals stay... makes it more fun because it's just a "work truck" haha. Came a long way from stock really... stock this truck looked terrible lol. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  23. Yes I do. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah.. it was awful on this side and it's now getting paint. Those 2 spots over the wheel wells are actually dents that somehow came from the inside. .. I can't explain that when it's all double wall there. The filler towards the fuel door was a rock that dented the panel and down to the steel... plus a bunch of chips. I had 3m all over that truck and even went up on the sides where it flares... guess I should just wrap the whole truck front to back. I have one more dent from the inside on the passenger side and a rock buckled the front fender on the passenger side. It's somewhat unbelievable the damage this stupid truck has with like 25000 miles. Don't drive gravel with big mudflap's, stock size BF KO2'S on oem rims I guess.. I dunno. And I only ran I winter... this thing never saw the mud and slop season... it would probably need a complete repaint if it did. The drivers boxside was a mess and was driving me nuts. There is a reason I don't run this truck for work and it has street tires on it now and never leaves pavement lol... oh well. I do like it but really... wtf already. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
  25. This is my tungsten truck.... Thanks GM lol. Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
