They come with one from the factory. you could put a drop in k&n or what suits you. You can straiten out the tube behind the air box. But you have cold air now.
Just got doing the install of the ddm hid kit 35watt 6k with dual input/output relay and 2 error cancellers. It gave me a hard time as the lights would not come on and I had everything hooked up as the correct diagram on op. Now they seem to be working good I hope this will last longer then the time it took for the kit to arrive.

I actually tried taking off the grill/emblem but after several clips and screws, I still think I had to remove the front painted bumper clip and maybe even the headlamps! So I just tightened it all back up and taped it off. Came out great, esp for my first time. Thoughts?
Heck ya it's rusty. It was covered from hub to hub while sitting on the lot. My point is, GM didn't even care to attempt any corrosion protection on that vehicle. Our trucks are pretty much entirely covered in something. Good or bad. Granted, the TA didn't cost $50k. My axle still works.
