  1. sorry but if my new truck was to develop or have the seat problem that was the result of poor engineering design, I'd be dammed if I'd put a hose clamp on it to fix it and would demand that GMC address the issue properly or otherwise sell the truck. a $40-50k truck should not have such petty problems.
  2. turning the headlamp knob to the far left will cancel all running lights (headlamps included) when desired. of course you likely knew that. there are times when I turn mine off but seldom, just too easy to drive as designed and live with it IMO. after all, its likely only you that will be aware of them being turned off or even disabled.
  3. dt4629......Helluva Rig. Looks great, enjoy.
  4. Yes, will fit with no problem. I'm likely gonna add an armored cable and lock as added security given the cost of the 5th wheel and tire (don't ask!)
  5. Yanked my OEM 17" spare from under the truck and replaced it with a matching 20" Denali Rim and new 295/55/r20 Toyo A/Tii Open Country xTreme. Now the spare matches the set of 4 on the ground. Fits perfect albeit the Toyo is approx. 1" taller and 1" wider that the OEM spare. nb: checked with the Dealer before doing this and they confirmed the OEM spare tire carrier and winch on the Sierra K1500 will accept any rim/wheel size from 17 - 20" but does require replacement for the optional 22" GM rim.
  6. One of my other rides....vintage 1988 560SL, 100% all original including the paint; current mileage 155k, runs, drives, performs like it did when new 25+years ago..
  7. Installed the Autonet Mobile WiFi unit. Easy to install, works perfect.
  8. '14 K1500 Denali, 2" RC under coil front only. No mod to rear, stance 39/39 F/R with 295/55/R20 Toyo ATii Open Country and I'l likewise pleased with the result, ie. just enough stance and rubber all around rides and drives perfect.
  9. Man you must be planning some very serious off-roading.
  10. Taken On the Boardwalk, Lk. Charles - Tell me I'm wrong. Yep, Nice rig.
  11. Good choice of wheels! I've seen many here in the forum, and those look great on your truck.
  12. On my '14 K1500 Sierra Denali with the RC 2" front only under-coil leveling kit and Toyo A/T II Open Country 295/55/R20s mounted on the OEM 20" 0-offset Denali wheels, I DO get some minor rubbing against the sway bar only on both L&R side at full-lok turning. That said, its not enough to bother me, and choose to live with it as I do not want to lift the truck any higher or add offsets to the wheels.
  13. I agree with GGZ71, and would not exceed a 3" lift on any truck, doing so does two things.... ....either requires extensive and further investment in aftermarket suspension and steering assist components that are generally produced for the true off-roading arena (not street) or ... ...escalates the vehicle into a market place that will not attract a high number of potential buyers when that time comes as evident by the high number of seriously lifted trucks we all see on used car lots. At the end of the day, its still a small market of consumers who want trucks with extreme lifts/mods. to each his own we all say and honor, just my opinion that too much is not necessarily a good thing.
  14. RC 2" (actual 1.75") front level with Toyo OC A/T Extreme 295/55/R20's on 20"x9" 0-offset OEM Denali wheelset, 39/40" F/R ground to fender lip clearance and just the way I wanted it.
  15. Drove my '14 Sierra Denali up from Anchorage to its namesake "Denali National Park"....where we took an aerial flightseeing tour of the park and Mt. McKinley to include landings at both the climber's base camp (@ 7k ft.) and on a glacier (@17k ft.). Great drive with a great truck coupled with stellar views. Tomorrow, off to Seward to do an offshore NPS guided tour of the Kenai Fjords to include numerous tidewater glaciers and marine wildlife including whales. How's that for a "what have you done to your '14 today?" or better "where did your '14 take you today"
  16. Just wondering....as I am considering a swap to the AMP powersteps. The OEM running boards/side steps on the 14' (and likely other years) have 4-braces holding each step in place on either side which provides a solid foundation for both driver and any passengers.. The AMP power steps have 2 per side. From experienced owners/users, have you found the Powersteps to be as strong in terms of weight bearing as the OEM 4-brace styles? As many, I like the look and the functionality of the Powerstep but find myself a bit concerned that they may not offer the strength of oem style.
  17. From the album: REWilliams

My latest addition, Toyo 295/55/R20's atop a RC 2" front leveling kit (no rear block lift).
  18. Ordered a set of the black grid with silver countersink pedals and floor kick plate today from Performance Pedals. They state 3-weeks to manufacture and deliver. They should look sharp with the black interior and floor carpeting.
  19. Yeah thanks, saw them. I should have been more explicit, am interested to see some close ups of the fitment. As well a full side profile when they are closed as well as down. Want some, and will likely do them with the optional stainless trim pieces to line up/compliment the side chrome moldings on my '14 Sierrra.
  20. Would like to see some Photos of installed Amp Research power steps, including closed and open position on a Sierra Crew Cab if anyone has them. Thanks.
  21. Like what you did by wrapping your front lower air-dam. Am curious to know how you wrapped the edges and what steps you took to prevent peeling at the edges. Did you use a primer at the edges and trim with a clean cut along them (edges) or wrap to-the-backside?, some detailed and close-ups of the side and bottom edge would be greatly appreciated. As I stated, like what you've done and am considering doing the same to my Ser-Den (summit white) but would want it to be durable and lasting hence all the questions. Thanks.
  22. My truck arrived Anchorage today, being delivered this afternoon. In preparation of use, stopped and purchased a set of studded ice/snow tires. Will have'm installed on sat. Won't get much use from them this year but a couple months, but will dismount and revert back to My A/T's for spring/summer then back on next season. Researching wheel options now for a 2nd set of 20" rims.
