  1. If you’ve emailed us about custom BCM work in the past it was likely, that at the time we just simply couldn’t take it. These units take an immense amount of time to build just a single unit for one vehicle and in the case of the truck platforms there could literally be thousands of build combinations we would have to account AND the big one… TEST FOR. Even with our recent efficiency upgrades full custom units still require a ton of dedicated time and it was hard to price them at a rate that was appropriate but still palpable. A few years ago we started compiling a list of the most common modifications we were getting requests for and we noticed a pattern; a lot of people were asking for variations of the same things. On top of that most customers seemed to be OK when asked if other certain features were included as well for a lower price point would they mind? The resounding answer was no they wouldn’t mind and when can we order it? It’s taken a few years to get there; but we are finally here now. Announcing our new WAMS Spec BCM programming! WAMS Spec BCM’s include our most requested modifications in one convenient, easy to order package and at a significantly lower price point; all with our new proprietary plug and play method that ELIMINATES the required trip to a dealer (or a high end scan tool) for a brake pedal position relearn after reinstallation! We think every K2 owner will really enjoy this but those of you with lighter content trucks are really going to love it. So enough with the build up, here are the included features for this item: · Remote Start Enabled (Customer will still need a remote start key fob to utilize it) · Remote Start Cycle time extended to 20 minutes per cycle · Factory Alarm/Theft Deterrent Added to base model trucks · Factory Heated seat support added for trucks that don’t have it (wiring required obviously) · Turn signal “Hyper Flash” Deleted · Turn Signal Bulb Outage Detection Deleted · Fog lamps remain on with High Beam · Fog lamps no longer disable Intellibeam · Fog lamps remain on with Intellibeam/Auto High Beam enabled (if equipped) · Tap to pass (turn signal activation) bumped up from 3 to 4 flashes · Windows down from key fob added (For 2014-2015) · Windows down from key fob changed to Driver and Passenger front Windows only · Window down from key fob changed to allow “Vent” setting (release key fob to stop window motion prior to complete lowering) · Driver (and passenger on utilities) window UP from key fob (hold lock to raise). Express up windows are required to make this work and currently the K2 Pickups only have one on the driver’s side. · Trucks with a 98MPH speed limiter the limiter is raised slightly to allow a stock truck (a Denali for example) to run a full quarter mile without hitting the speed limiter before the end of the quarter. Here you can see our final beta test on a complete base 2016 LS I apologize for the vertical video was just really happy to finally get done with the last combination for testing! Please also check out Phil Gamboa’s (@pgamboa) phenomenally detailed review here: So in closing all of you who have been asking when it would be ready… It’s here LOL Also BIG Thank you to everyone who participated in early alpha and beta testing this with us. In addition to purchasing several vehicles for this (the latest our 2018 Denali) we tested this on over 20 trucks/SUV’s of different build combinations before we were comfortable enough to start offering this to the public.
  2. Yup you are 100% correct, I think i'm going to tweak the display for that to only show up with used clusters. Apparently the description for the two main options didnt carry over from the old website; my apologies!
  3. So I woke up this morning to an email asking about our service relative to some questions that were raised early this morning. Rather than thread crap I figured here was the best place to address them head on. Some background first: We have been doing this for almost 20 years at this point and Global A Secure clusters since the first platform launched in 2010 for Dealerships and numerous customers worldwide both commercial and individual. So to get to it some of the questions that have come up: 1. Pricing - If you haven't checked our all new website since I posted the operation efficiency update; you should. I think you'll find some statements being made elsewhere interesting when you look at that especially when you see we are now selling brand new clusters at barely over dealer cost (when you factor in shipping and sales tax on our end to get them). 2. Differences in cluster model years - the notion that we've been just saying you have to use the proper model year for the heck of it. Well thats simply not the case, not sure the logic behind that statement but GM doesn't like to make part number changes if it doesn't have to; this costs everyone in the supply chain money and complicates things for everyone. They would much rather build one part number for 2016-2018 for example with minor revisions if it were possible and not 3-6 each year; if there is a part number change there is a change somewhere. It may be a base software change it may be hardware but the push to keep the proper part number for your year is for YOUR benefit as you'll see below. Another giveaway on this is check the additional options made available between model years....We will do it 100% OEM perfectly or we wont do it at all, even simple things like text running off the screen or a missing icon/asset; we wont do it. We test on a minimum of around 5-6 types of vehicle prior to releasing anything including full and no content vehicles. 3. The notion that we don't do metic clusters. We most certainly do; for trucks that have metric clusters to begin with lol But the bulk of our business is as you would guess US based so we put the list together for those. We generally do not participate in putting metric clusters in US spec trucks as it has caused customers issues with one of our big selling points UNLESS its an export. 4. There are some added features that I believe we may be the only place that offer such as some of the features we've recently posted in here such as odometer lock removal, engine hours etc. 5. Extra menus - Yup we've been doing those for what 8-9 years now? (check our youtube channel LOL) If they work and are valuable they are there. 6. What we alluded to above: Our biggest customers are dealers and in case you forgot we are GMDN and because of this there are NO WARRANTY IMPLICATIONS. This is why we do things the way we do, we have a strict set of guidelines to adhere to. So thats our stance on this, not to knock anyone in the least but we dont suggest anyone simply race to the bottom so to speak on something that can have warranty and potential legal implications for the end user; we run a tight ship for a reason and if you've read most of or even some of this thread you know why. Thank you all for your support over the years; we greatly appreciate it!
  4. Please use the contact us form from our website including all of the fields and put that part number in there we will check it against your vin
  5. Keep your eyes peeled ;)
  6. You’ll want to get the matching radio for your audio RPO and both of them programmed.
  7. Do the 2.5; even if you DONT use car play/AA the speed is worth $50 easily.
  8. Hey gang just a little operational update here: We've added a fifth complete programming bench and because of this and the resulting increase in efficiency we are lowering the price of this service (and some other popular services). Moving forward we are going to bundle in the odometer lock removal service at no extra cost for used clusters as part of the regreening process so those may be used now as well (just make sure we get them before you plug them in!) We are also going to be starting to take hour meter programming by request into these units. The issue is most trucks dont show the idle hours where the denali does so looking it up prior to shipping the unit in will be difficult at best but if you want to go through the trouble we will make it happen. Thanks [emoji4]
  9. We can add that for you for $50. Only caveat is you'd need to ship your module to us.
  10. I’m not after seeing the label, drop us a line from the site we will get this squared away for you.
  11. It will show the factory navigation maps yes but not the car play maps etc. @th3magpi3 Nice job dude!! I know that's a royal pain in the ass!
  12. 2017 was first year for new color scheme 2016 has both red and blue available for gas engines.
  13. No, only if you wanted the full factory integration with all of the steering wheel controls to work as intended inside AA/CP. However if you think you want to upgrade the cluster later to get those features (which I highly recommend as the entire system was designed around voice controls and pressing the button on the screen to use siri over and over sucks in CP for example LOL) we need to handle the conversion as everything is matched.
  14. At a minimum for proper operation you need the Radio, HMI and USB hub. If you want it ALL to work as a factory 2016+ you need to upgrade the instrument cluster as well. If you drop us a line from our website we can send you a curated parts list for the best possible results including the cluster etc. www.whiteautoandmedia.com
  15. 2014 doesn’t have the hardware for it, that’s normal.
  16. Thank you for your patience! FYI for anyone just tuning in the fix has been built into all of the clusters that had this issue now so its all good in da hood
  17. What other aftermarket wiring modifications were made for the stereo? I guess we’d need to know how the amps are wired in etc... so many variables EDIT: DUH. The Amps are probably wired for key on power... the Welcome/Shutdown sounds both occur when the ignition is off... no wonder you've never heard them. (or they are tied to power moding etc) just spitballing here but it would certainly make sense. (oh and the DUH was for me... like why didn't I think of this sooner) Also we are dragging this thread off track, might be best to take this to email.
  18. Yeah something isn’t waking up on time and shutting down early. Sure sounds like the NavTV but sadly impossible to tell remotely. There were quite a few bus changes between 14 and 16 so that sadly isn’t surprising.
  19. Another thought, power moding is BCM controlled and 2014's have a TON of BCM updates (typical for a first year vehicle) maybe try getting the BCM updated to see? Worst case we can toss another radio at it if you want to try that.
  20. Great minds I just want to help him get it running its really an anomaly i've never seen an HMI learn HALF of a VIN before... like ever... and thats over thousands of units lol
