  1. I've never heard of them. I love how they are Japanese inspired designs but built for trucks. Great find.
  2. love the wheels man! What are they? I've never seen them before in a truck. They remind me of Volk Te37's
  3. I think it would be perfect if you could somehow beam an address to the oem navigation. Like if I was looking for the nearest chipotle near me. I'd be using my phone, then when I found one and clicked route, the vehicles navigation would automatically get the directions. One can only wish though....
  4. Well yes and no. The factory navigation systems are slow to use compared to the phones. Its 10x easier to search for something on google maps and push a button for directions. Compared to on a navigation system everything has to be manually entered.
  5. Yea, that is exactly what I currently do except I have a 5s with an Otterbox Commuter Case. I don't like this because I'd rather have my hands on the steering wheel vs one on the phone. There are always the times when the I do this and the phone falls for whatever reason. I did check out proclipusa.com as recommended above. They have great solutions, this is my favorite one; http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-mounts/vehicle/gmc/sierra-1500-series/2014-2016/proclip-left-mount-804954-19563.cmsv?p_leftorright=0 I would just have to get a long enough cable and tuck it under the panels and I think would look pretty sharp. They have a few more here; http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-mounts/vehicle/gmc/sierra-1500-series/2014.cmsv
  6. Here in Dallas it has been exceptionally windy this past week. On my drive back to Dallas from Houston I usually net 19-20mpg. On Sunday I averaged 15.3mpg, I could feel the wind tossing me around. Even driving around town the wind has not let up.
  7. Favorite truck on this site by far. What is your wheel/tire size again?
  8. What are you guys using as Cell Phone mounts/holders? I've been keeping my phone in my center console cup holder (Crew Cab with NO Center Console) However when I'm using my phone as a GPS this really does not work well since my phone is not within my line of sight. I really don't like windshield mounts since they require my phone to be clipped in all the time.
  9. Truck looks good man. But you should upload using imgur. Pictures upload in 5x the quality.
  10. edit: double post
  11. Well what kind of driving where you doing? What mpg where you averaging with AFM and without. Like I said above. AFM might only net you .5mpg during city driving. Its during highway speeds where it nets you 2-3mpg. I've averaged full tank 20.5 mpg's while driving down to Houston but usually get 17.5 with a 50/50 City/Highway mix. Now these past few tanks I've been running e85 which causes AFM to run longer and more frequently, however my mpg's have dropped to 15 with mostly highway and down to 13ish with city and highway mix. If you have an aftermarket exhaust I can see disabling it since it'll sound like a "helicopter" with certain exhaust combinations. But as far as just daily driving I can't even tell when its on. I have to specifically change my info screen in my gauge cluster to be aware that its coming on/off. For me its never caused any vibrations or a laggy throttle. From what I've read before it only activates and stays running when engine load is under 10%.
  12. Its not that hard. Under certain circumstances only a fraction of the engines power is required to keep the vehicle in constant motion. The bread and butter of the AFM is on the highway going 50-65mph, which is the average speed limit of US highways. At those speeds is where the truck is most aerodynamic and when the v4 can keep the truck at a consistent speed. It is really hard work to get a 6000lb truck to get over 20mpg. That is why things like the air dam, tires, and ride stance or so important and sensitive at the same time. Just take a look over at the suspension/leveling thread. When guys level their trucks and remove the air dam and add larger tires they can take a hit of up to 4mpg.
  13. Can you send me a link to the wiring mod you are talking about?
  14. I've never been big on 22" wheels but man, the new GMC's look amazing on 22's. Truck is very nice!
  15. Overnight me some crow so I can eat it
  16. So has anyone here gotten all the usb and plugs to work correctly? I really want to do this but I would want it to be right near OEM quality, as far as looks and operation goes.

  19. I'm not being hateful, truck looks great, I just really don't think its painted. You should snap some pictures of the door jambs though.
  20. I bet he works at a graphic decal place or something similar. Matte paint on a vehicle as big as a truck would be wayy up there in $$$$. And I've seen some plasti-dip cars but the finish is never as good as a wrap. Looking at the sheen on the guys truck and the quality of the finish I'd bet is a wrap. My guess is that if it would of been painted the bumpers would of been taken care of the same time. Would of been odd to spend all that time, prep work and money to just paint pumpers some other time.
  21. Pretty sure that 's just a wrap
  22. I really like your truck man. I really wish I would of spent the extra cash for a 4x4 now. Lift, wheels, and tires look great and compliment the body lines real well.
