  1. Hello all, ive recently bought a new to me single owner 2014 gmc sierra 4.3 4x4 double cab with 43,000 miles on it. It has flex fuel standard and was wondering wether or not i should run e85. It is available local and pretty cheap, but ive heard that if the truck has ran gas most of its life the e85 would cleanse the deposits and possibly clog the fuel lines or fuel pump. Should it be safe to switch over to e85 ? Or could i just start running 89 since ive also read that its more beneficial running 89 or 93 over 87 due to detonation
  2. I have a 2003 yukon sle 2wd. The radio, windows, gauges on right side of the dash all stop working. The abs, tc and air bag lights come on. Now if you press the brake the radio and windows work. The gauges sometime come back on. The vehicle runs good now stalling issues or anything. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could cause this.
  3. Hello all, I have recently purchased a 2017 GMC Sierra SLE Crew Cab, I have a question based on the package after I have done some research on it. With the badges it has on it and the packages the sales guy said it has per those packages I am questioning the ability to have that many on a vehicle. I am hoping someone can help me know if it is real or not. List is below. 1. SLE 2. Kodiak 3. Elevation 4. Z71 5. All Terrain
  4. Can anyone explain the difference between the GMC SLE and the Chevy LT? https://www.laurabuickgmc.com/VehicleDetails/new-2019-GMC-Sierra_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_SLE-Collinsville-IL/3417978283 Trying to see what is different. In the past the SLE was about what the LS was. However the SLE’s at that dealer with the SLE value package are priced similar too and equipped like Silverado LT’s at other dealers. https://www.laurachevybg.com/VehicleDetails/new-2019-Chevrolet-Silverado_1500-Crew_Cab_Short_Box_4_Wheel_Drive_RST-Sullivan-MO/3413585293 (10 days ago this truck was a grand cheaper.)
  5. I have a GMC Sierra 1500 it’s a 2013 and I need to do some body work. Basically I’m looking for information on replacing Both front quarter panel and if. Also any information about getting panels for the truck all the way around if you can get a set of new panels for the Truck bedside and for a quarter. Any information would really help thank you
  6. Problem Description: Headlights turns-On and sometimes does not w/ DRL Headlights turns-Off while driving and then comes back On Headlight does not turn-On at initial startup and then turns-On while driving All other lights are functional, Tail Lights Brake light and Reverse are Ok All Turn Signals w/ Hazards are Ok Fog lights (Morimoto XB LED's) are Ok Action: Taken to a reputable shop to troubleshoot; of course the lights were functional the entire time during the visit; issue re-occured later during that day on my way home from work. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Hey guys, like the title says, is the 16/17 GMC Sierra 1500 grilles easy like the silverado ones now or are they still harder and you need to take off bumper pad etc.. I wanna color match my shell and am wondering how hard it is before I get too involved. I searched the forum and lots of info on 2014 and 2015 but couldn't find any for 16/17. Thanks for any help guys.
  8. I have a 2008 crew cab WT and a donor 2008 crew cab SLE I'd like all the SLE features and want to know what modules I'll need to swap without getting my BCM reprogrammed. My dealer won't do it for me. So Im ready to change all necessary modules in my truck with the donor truck including the ignition. Can you tell me if this is possible and what I'll need to do and what modules to replace? I understand they go by VIN or something. But if I get all the stuff from the donor and move it over to mine it should work without locking me out of the truck right?
  9. Brand new GMC Sierra SLE crew, when I'm parked and I turn the high beams on I hear a clanking noise under the hood? But not when I'm driving. Is this normal? (First time GMC owner)
  10. I recently bought a brand new 2018 GMC Sierra Elevation SLE. After having it for a few days and putting on 500 km, I decided to check the fluid levels. I noticed that the oil was on the lower side, meaning, it almost showed that there was minimal oil in the engine. I find this strange, seeing as normally you see the oil bubble on the dip stick between the 2 indicators. In my case, there was no proof of an oil bubble. It seems very faint and thin-looking on the dip stick. Just curious if this is how the new GMC's are, or am I just running on seriously low oil?
  11. I got a used truck back in September with a lucky 17500 miles on it when I got it. So low miles compared to the 28000 miles on the Subaru Crosstrek I traded for the truck even though they were the same year. I got the truck to tow my new travel trailer that I am full time living in as I create a business to travel the country to see what is out there. Tired of the office life. I got the gas version and know a diesel is better but the smell of the exhaust gives me migraines and I don't know how to fix them. So I purposely went for the gas truck. The travel trailer I have is only 8000lbs GVWR so I am well under the max towing of the truck. I look forward to doing some research here and looking into upgrades or changes that might fit my needs. Tim
  12. So I figured it was finally time for me to start one of these build posts. I appreciate peoples input and ideas, so feel free to comment and tell me if you have a suggestion. I can't wait complete my build, but is a build ever really complete? Haha! The more I think about it, the more I think of things that I want to do to it. Anyways... The truck is a Cardinal red 2016 GMC Sierra SLE 5.3L with the Z71 package. It came with 20" rims and a factory bedliner. I bought it in October 2016 and so far I have already done a few phases of the build. Phase 1 was dealer installed -Magnum RT side steps -Leveling kit -GM laser cut floor liners -Clear 3M bra on front Phase 2 came a week later -AVS low profile window visors -Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover -Drivers side UnderCover SwingCase Phase 3 began towards the end of November -MBRP Cat back dual exhaust (check out a video of it right after install, before the CAI install. I think it sounds great, not too obnoxious, but you can definitely hear it. )-AFE Magnum Force Pro Dry S intake kit Phase 4 (current) -Bakbox 2 (mail in rebate finally went through!) -Flush mount LEDs for rear bumper (have them, need to install) -vinyl wrap interior trim Hope to do soon: Black out bumpers and grille, black out or remove all other chrome on exterior. New wheels and rubber! Always looks nice with a bit of mud!

  14. I started removing the interior trim in my 2016 sierra. My plan is to vinyl wrap it all with red carbon fibre wrap. But I am stuck on one piece. It is the silver one that goes around the stereo controls. Please excuse my crappy picture as I took it at night and tried to brighten it up. Does anyone know how to remove this piece?
  15. FOR SALE: 14-15 GMC Sierra Front Chrome Bumper with Park Assist, Fog light, and Tow Hooks. Part # 22902308 No dents, no dings, scratch free. Just normal wear and tear $400 shipped to lower 48.
  16. I have a 2015 SLE and just bought a color matching denali grill off ebay Will this fit on my truck as a simple swap? Also, does anyone have experience with the ebay knock off denali grills?
  17. New to the Forum... I looked for this topic but couldn't find one specifically related (although it could be due to my "newness" to the forum) so I apologize in advance if it has been discussed previously I am in the process of finalizing a new truck search coming off a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and have zeroed in on the 2016 GMC Sierra. At this point, my main decision is trying to decide between a Crew Cab and a Double Cab. Understanding that there are multiple configurations of options on the Sierra, the Sierra SLE Crew Cab with "most" the options available on the Sierra SLT Double Cab (other than leather bucket seats with the center console) seem to line up price wise. My question for those of you that have gone through similar decisions, would/do you prefer the Crew Cab SLE version with the cloth front bench seats or the Double Cab SLT version and leather bucket/console? I would be using it a decent amount for carrying my family of four around although it would be our secondary travel vehicle for longer trips etc.
