  1. Well I was going to get my front 2 windows tinted to match the rears (don't want them as dark as my old truck) and do the windshield brow. Was also thinking about Husky Liner X-act floor mats, but got my registration and property tax I have to pay on the truck annually is making me postpone those 2 things. Oh well lol.
  2. Really though, how long does it take to pop the hood real quick and then empty the cab with a valve on the bottom.
  3. Most people mount their can above the extra battery tray on the driver side so you shouldn't have to run a hose to the wheel well. Just get one of those short plastic bottles that pepsi sells. They're either 16oz or 12oz.
  4. Nothing major. I took off the Z71 decals off the side of the bed and replaced them with the Z71 emblems that are on the door of the Custom Sport trucks. I like it because from a distance it looks like the factory decals so it doesn't look out of place. I think an emblem looks much better than a simple decal. I know some people like debadging but this is one of those things where I like replacing the decal with an emblem.
  5. It's what you found, bed extender. They're made to go both ways, it just rotates. Think about it, would you buy a bed extender if it didn't allow you to close the tailgate at all.
  6. The problems is with Direct Injection is that the injector injects directly into the cylinder so the gas never touches the valves. The other 2 types are sequential (which some call it different) and Throttle Body. Sequential there's also an injector for each cylinder but the injectors are in the intake runner right above the valve. So the gas is able to wash the top of the valves. What happens is oil vapor (I guess that's what you'd call it) goes up through the valve cover through the PCV valve and back into the air intake. With a Direct Injection the only way to stop it from what I've read is a catch can and that will catch the oil.
  7. Thanks. I've looked on websites and Youtube and couldn't find a definitive answer. They all just read the same directions.
  8. About 10,600, probably closer to 10,700. It feels like it hasn't lost anything, but I know the buildup on the valves are very gradual so you won't feel any difference from one day to the next. I haven'y had any trouble with a stumble or hesitation when WOT. I did just add an Airaid M.I.T. tube and it does feel more responsive. I'm not sure if it's all in my head or if it really did. Of course I know I won't feel any HP increase, just feels like there's better throttle response, kind of like when I installed the K&N intake kit on my 98. After installing I let it idle a few minutes and then drove for about 20 miles with all kinds of roads from city to interstate. So if I get a catch can I'll have to figure out hose lengths with the Airait M.I.T.
  9. The directions say to use until the can is empty. I'm a little confused about when it says to do burst at 30 second intervals. I'm not sure if that means do 30 second long burst or do a burst and then wait 30 seconds. Either way I'm not sure on how long the other # would be depending on which one it is.
  10. I'm wanting to do an oil catch can so if I get one in the future I'll use this to clean the valves before installing the can.
  11. Being in the middle makes my OCD a little happier. Mine was above the "Silverado" to the left and was going to leave it on there but took it off. Now I wish I did because I now work at that dealership lol.
  12. I'm at about 10,600 on mine now but I'ave had it for 11 months now. I put 400 miles on it in one day not long after I got it when I did a day trip to the beach and 100 of those was just driving around at the beach. I also did a 2nd trip later that summer. I drove the hell out of mine during the summer, but since it started to get cold I haven't driven around as much. And now working 6 days a week I don't really have time to drive a lot since on Sunday I want to just sit at the house watching NASCAR lol.
  13. Finally installed the underseat storage bin after work today. So now I have everything that I ordered last week.
  14. Or you could just buy one of those grabbers that are used to get to things out of reach. Could also just bungee it to a tiedown hook towards the back so you won't have to reach for it.
  15. Well I did get the chance to install the Airaid MIT tube this evening after work. It was almost night though but I got it done and went for a test drive. I let it idle for a few minutes while I put everything up and then drove around including the interstate. I know I won't feel any HP gain (that is if it's even supposed to), but it did feel a tad better responsive. It could have all been in my head. It just felt less sluggish from a stop. Still the factory air filter that came on the truck. If anything it at least make the engine bay look better and less crowded. Will make it much easier to work on the belts and such. I know I'm keeping the stock air box but I'm not sure if I will need to switch it back to the stock one when I take it to get the oil changed under the maintenance warranty. Luckily I work at that dealership now so I can just let them do it while I'm there. Now I will install the underseat storage under my back sit tomorrow after work.
  16. I started a thread about them. I'm thinking about just replacing those for the Z71 decals on the bed. From a distance it would look stock until you got up close. I just think a nice emblem would be better than just a decal. I will probably wait a little bit before I do it though, maybe in the summer.
  17. Installed the driver assist handle. I also got the Airaid MIT tube but since it's raining now and will rain tomorrow I will have to wait until Saturday after I get off work. Still waiting on the underseat storage for the rear seat but it should come in tomorrow so I'll put that in when I do the Airaid.
  18. Just get Kinetic tow rope. The problem with anything like that is that it can be stolen. Same with the D-shackles you have to attach the cable to the tow hooks. That cable just doesn't look right just hanging off of the tow hooks instead of the hook on the end of the cable from a winch hooked onto a tow hook.
  19. Now you need to paint or plastidip the headlight trim to match lol.
  20. Here's mine which is the same, the bed access powdercoated ones. Love them and much better than my 3" tube Westons that I had on my 98.
  21. It comes like that, it's a Custom Sport edition. I'm actually thinking about buying 2 of those and replacing them for the decals on my bed sides. But, not sure if I want to try it, especially if I screw up with the positions.
  22. The tips might not be Corsa just because the rest of the catback or muffler is Corsa. They look like just regular slash cut tips like I have.
  23. It's just where I store it. When I use it I let it air out until all of the fumes are gone before I put it back in the cab under the seat. Maybe you missed where I said it's just one for emergencies for if I or someone else runs out of gas. It's not one I use for the lawnmower, that one I bungee to a tiedown in my bed. I already ordered the storage anyways.
  24. I'm thinking about getting the underseat storage for the back seat of my truck, a Double Cab. Can anybody tell me if a gas can that's roughly 10x7 1/2x11 without the nozzle fit on one side? If not I'll just buy a smaller gas can for emergencies. The one I have seems to fit under the seat just fine, I just want to make sure it would fit in the storage.
  25. I say powder coat also, but paint would hold up better than factory paint so I wouldn't look for color match bumpers. I want mine black but I want to look into black chrome so I get both black and still have a chrome look to it like my black chrome exhaust tips.
