That is an awesome looking truck, looks like a "big hot wheel"!!! Could be a dumb question, is that special order/program factory color, or a wrap on the bottom 2/3 of the truck?

Was not me, never got around to posting any pictures after it was done. I bought mine from GMPartsdirect.com, along with extra bolts.

Unfortunately, the first generation of the "sharkfin's" like to leak. You can pull down your headliner and check it. Pretty sure the XM module is in the glove box (behind it), along with a whole lot of other stuff. There are videos on you tube about changing it out.

Has it been raining where you are at? You did not list year of truck, if it an early one (14, 15) you might have a leak around your antennae that has corroded the inside of the unit.

Honestly, I would open a claim with GM (if you already have not) and go through the process of a buy back. Personally, I would not let the future of my truck be in the hands of any branch of our government. And pissing off a global giant may not be the best route, if they even care about your posts. How is your relationship with the dealership at this point? They can be your biggest asset in getting out, or having the truck fixed. Have gone through both a "trade allowance" and a "buy back" since 2014, and it is not fun, but it is an end to the means.

I have always lived by the philosophy, you meet two types of people, ones that will make a difference in your life, and the ones who are not worth the time it took to introduce themselves.

So, the OEM filters for my 14 and 16, along with our 16 Tahoe are white. Just ordered one for my 18, and it is yellow/gold, is this comparable/same as the NAPA gold everyone is talking about?

If you want to be exact, find a "straight edge" and run it parallel with your front license plate to the ground, make a mark, then do the same with rear bumper, and both mirrors. Pull your truck away and measure the distance between the marks, it will give a pretty close "police outline" of your truck, then you can transpose it to your garage floor to see exactly how it will fit.
