    Try this, not sure if you have the ability to check for codes or not: Pulled codes and got this, B2615-passenger compartment dimming #2 circuit malfunction. So I tried opening the passenger door also as someone else suggested and it worked. The dash lights cancelled out. Not a solution to a fix, but a lead.

    The timer that you set is for the exterior lights, not interior, they just fade to "nothing" along with your dome light when it is dark out. Don't think there is a way to over ride this feature. Have you looked inside of the truck from the outside (hope that makes sense) to see if they are off at night?

    Describe how long they are staying on. They come on when you open the door, while running, and will stay on until you open the drivers door with the key out (engine not running).

    You have taken a pressurized system and added length of travel (the catch can hoses) for this fluid to travel, what do you really think the odds are it is catching all 100%, 90%, 80%? Not saying it is the best thing for the engine to have the fluid going into the intake, but I can imagine a lot worse things that can be done.

    Yes sir, you win, I am not even sure how to post a question anyone can understand. Enjoy your 10000000000000 miles trouble free driving because an after market company sold you a product that they can not afford to even do tests on.

    Unfortunately it does not help, because it does not answer my question. 6 ounces of contaminated fluid will ruin an engine, even though you still have 250 ounces of good oil circulating through the engine?.

    Just to be clear, at 10,000 miles my engine is not using/losing any oil between changes. Now everyone back to puffing up their chests and preaching their ideas are the best ever heard.....

    Question was meant to be how much oil does the catch can system "catch" between changes, nothing to do with consumption. If you are only removing "ounces" between changes, I personally do not see the benefits. These engines run at almost a boiling temperature, and GM designs theirs to recirculate all spent gases and oil right back into the engine, but everyone attacks the engine engineers for designing something poorly because it does not look/function like theirs? The debates just keep getting more fun.

    Sorry, was not clear with my question, how much total oil in the catch can between oil changes, oil that does not filter back into the engine and needs to be replaced to bring the level to full?

    Question has nothing to do with consumption. Question was asking how much oil do you add, meaning how much oil is accumulating in the can? "Common Sense" would be if it is catching a substantial amount (say a quart or more, remember, the majority of us without them are idiots) it would be a good investment, 1/4 of a quart, don't see the point.

    Question for the catch can faithful, how much oil do you add to the engine over the course of a 3000-5000 mile oil change interval?

    It posted last night, but was really compressed. Truck looked like it was 10 feet tall and 3 feet wide, actually pretty funny looking.

    Welcome to the site. There are quite a few threads on this topic. I would start with your dealer, maybe open a claim with GM to see what they can do for you. It is unfortunately a problem that some trucks seem to have.
