  1. Hey Boys and Girls, Jesse D. here. Haven't been on in a while and have just now gotten caught up. Hey there, yup that was me. and you are right I managed a trade assist but couldn't get anything going on the CA part. Wish I could have helped more people though. You are also correct, I did jump ship from GM less than a week after getting my 2017 replacement. It had the shake in addition to the radio issues, trans thump from 3nd to 2rd gear when slowing down I believe it was, along with the gears grinding and rear end bouncing when in reverse. hey SB, I'm good, still loving my new F150, how are you? I can still play in the sandbox, just not advise anyone on what to do regarding the vibration. It's a lot easier to not think about it though since I don't have to deal with it LOL those expansion joints are murder in any vehicle.... except maybe a Bentley or something super high end. They had the Coil Overs on the Avalanche, wish they still made that truck but I digress. By the way, the coil over system with the air ride in the ram isn't that great. I test drove one with the eco diesel and it had a wobble similar to the chevy and GMC I had, but no where near as severe. I wasn't impressed with it. correct, does ride nice though, atleast the avalanche did HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE IT. Ohh and I will be getting the front window tints done this week, so I will update my tag line and photo sometime after. excited to finally be getting it done. I haven't found an LED bar that I like, the good ones seem to have amber turn signals but I'm kinda anal and particular when it comes to my vehicles and like things to match so where the truck has red signals, I won't be happy with the LED bars. if anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear them.
  2. I knew you were going to chime in on him/ that.
  3. in some trucks it will do the same thing if you push a little on the front plate of the radio. some are so bad that it happens just by tapping it or even grabbing the volume knob. It was even worse on the previous generation.
  4. I can haul in mine.... more than you can actually
  5. hahaha, I expect that kind of service when I spend a shit ton on money on something.... too bad our "favorite" company doesn't agree. Sorry SB, but if you really believe that GM doesn't know the root cause of the problem I'm going to think that you're just delusional and a GM blowhard. As for the KIA/Hyundai recall, if 1.4 million engines that are being recalled, its more than 10% of production. By the way, this is the second recall on the Hyundai side for this issue They aren't big enough of a brand for it to be that small of a percentage. In 2016 the two brands together sold about 1.35 million vehicles total. With this recall affecting: 2013-2014 Hyundai Sonata's and Sanata Fe's (617,334 sold) 2011-2013 Kia Sportages (116,785 sold) 2011-2014 Kia Optima (551,902 sold) 2012-2014 Sorrento (327,766 sold) 1,613,787 million total US sales for these vehicles across their respective recall years. 86.75% of total sales for these respective models years have been recalled over the concern
  6. Just thought I'd throw this out there. Last weekend I was working on my moms 2012 Kia Optima for her when I noticed a ticking sound in the engine that I assumed was from the serpentine belt. Kia and Hyundai recently recalled 1.4 million engines for poor manufacturing, so to be safe I sent it in to be inspected by the dealer. They are now replacing the whole engine with a brand new one..... Now thats good customer support!
  7. Who could that have been
  8. lol to each their own. just so we are clear I meant the comment to the you admitting that you're too stubborn to give up and are sticking with it until its fixed. I don't know about anyone else, but when I buy something, I expect it to work properly and when it doesn't I expect it to be fixed. Hope you get a fix bud
  9. Allegedly the 2018 will be a full redesign..... Who will be the first guinea pig? Not Me I love my ferd. Went from an 07 ferd to a 15 silvy to a 17 Sierra to my current 16 ferd. Trust me its not a sin, its magical to love the vehicle you drive again. you poor sap lol.... I see you made some friends Bill
  10. and just want is wrong with the eco?
  11. I can confirm 15 and 17
  12. THis was my first thought I second the above
  13. why did you just quote a post of mine from Feb 2016?
  14. I have stepped away for a while also. nice to see all my old buddies are still here, with is wasn't the case though and you all could move on from this. hope all is well with you. Any new news?
  15. Welcome to the Club my friend. Instead of a Platinum I went for a Fully Loaded Lariat with virtually every package available, you'll enjoy it! post a pic of her
  16. So this is completely off topic, but my brother wrecked his car yesterday, ripped the axle right off the damn thing. I'm planning to specify some of the parts that the shop uses such as Timken hub assemblies and wheel bearings, going to use aftermarket headlights and I want to specify a new axle/ CV axle. His car is a FWD 2014 VW Jetta, does anyone have recommendations? I know we are trucks here, but I figured I'd ask. Really hoping it didn't f*ck up the tranny. Anything else I should make special note of? thanks
  17. NO. WAY. I'm SOOOOO SURPRISED. lol, sorry had to
  18. The 18 Tundra is supposed to be a complete redesign, everything from the interior to the mechanicals/ drive line. I considered one before I got the ford but the Tundra was still a great truck. Beware of a first model run after a redesign, always a scary year haha. Anyway, I'd expect a modified version of the 5.7L, 4.6L and addition of a diesel engine, updated transmission (8 or 10 speed), quieter interior etc. heres an article https://carsintrend.com/2018-toyota-tundra/ F-650
  19. Although I don't remember their results, I believe I remember a number of people here have checked this. Abominable for example.
  20. holy sh!t forget that hahaha
  21. What year raptor? I love those trucks! Very expensive though
  22. so you're looking at $1,000 to $1,250 or so to have them installed at a shop. Most shops I know charge anywhere from $84-$125/hr for shop labor. plus they will want a markup and applicable tax. sound about right?
  23. Holy SH!T thats bad. Is it just me, or does the black portion of the hub seem as though it isn't rotating centered? I blocked out the outside edge to try to minimize the illusion
  24. Nice, If I had a CNC machine, I'd do tons of that kind of stuff myself. definitely agree with the 826's and 1032's they are awesome machines. I considered the 28", but decided that the extra 4" wasn't worth the cost so I went with the 24". Although, when I used to sell them to people, if I liked the person (aka they weren't being idiots or @ssholes), I would generally say stick with the 24, its easier to maneuver and has the best power to size ratio... If the person pissed me off or was obnoxious, I would always say "Bigger is Always Better Right?" then get the higher valued sale. I said 750 pages, and you buy us all a real one and have it sent to us. just another post closer haha
