  1. What did you use to drill out the holes with, a spade bit?? Can the hole be round or does it need to be cut out square? ( I don't know what the back of the light looks like, to pass through the hole) Did you pull out the taillights to wire into the reverse lights, or did you tap into the trailer harness? What did you use to make the connection, are those t-tap things ok to use? Thanks What did you use to drill out the holes with, a spade bit?? 2. Sounds good, we expect a video; like you did for the tow mirrors!? I'll be waiting patiently, this is definitely a mod I need, I can't see squat backing up and I do mostly night driving so I really need this. I'd love to do the tow mirrors, but that seems a little too involved for me. I have no problem taking off the door panel and bolting in the mirror but i just wish it could be plug and play to get all features working. Any update on those mirrors you were testing?
  3. ^^^^ Yes, thank you for the clarification.
  4. If possible, could you take some install pics along the way. I really want to do this mod but am still a little unclear about how the step pockets come out/lose to install the light and have never been good at wiring. Thanks
  5. Wow, that turned out great. I have a 2017 Silverado; can I move my cup holder forward like that? ; I've been afraid to pull to hard on it as I think I heard something about the new one not being moveable anymore; does anyone know.
  6. I saw this, I don't know anything about it, but thought some of you may be interested. I'd like to know more if anyone can find out some details. http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/PC/19009-03284420.html?utm_content=PN&utm_term=2007-2015+Chevrolet+Silverado+1500+Winch+Mount+Plate+Trim+Westin+46-70060+07-15+Chevrolet+Winch+Mount+Plate+Trim+2012+2014&fp=pp&gbm=a&utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&gclid=Cj0KEQiAvNrBBRDe3IOwzLn6_O4BEiQAmbK-Dp3d47dSEwWt65ozLK2H5Uyo_2v1_pM1ZzIN6WR972IaAmLg8P8HAQ&ad=47433966132 http://westinautomotive.com/max-winch-mounting-system
  7. I've seen my 2017 6 speed do the same thing. No shudder or noises; rides smooth, but I have seen the needle bounce exactly like yours in high gear (6th gear) at low rpm at constant light throttle. I'm assuming it's normal, but please let us know what you find out from the dealer or anywhere else. Thanks.
  8. I can't seem to find it. The one I see on their website says nothing about cutt outs for tow hooks, am I missing something. Can you post a link please.
  9. Sweet...Race truck!!! That would be so much fun lowered with a 6 speed Manual transmission. Also I wish they would put that xm shark fin antenna centered on the rear back; I hate how they are up front and to one side. Congrats on the new truck.
  10. FL335i, on 30 Oct 2016 - 12:42 AM, said: Yes that red line stuff would work. However it says "recommended for API GL-5". just FYI. Yes it says API GL-5, I thought that's what we need, correct? Or am I missing something? Thanks. Also will this work in the front diff? Can anybody answer this. Do we need a rear diff fluid that is API GL-5 rated or not? Also what is needed for the front diff; are any friction modifiers ok in the front diff?

  12. https://www.redlineoil.com/product.aspx?product=58304 ^^^^... I'm looking for something more readily available in quart size; would this be ok to use; does it meet the requirements for the g80??? Also could I use this in the front diff. Thanks.
  13. Does anyone know if the GM Rear axle fluid 75w85 part # 19300457 is a true full synthetic oil? It says high efficiency, but I can't find any descriptions that says full synthetic. I'm sure there's a lot of opinions on this; but is there a better full synthetic option in the GM recommend weight of 75w85? Also, with out getting under the truck right now, to anyone who has already changed their diff fluid on these new trucks, is there any kind of drain plug or do you have to remove the cover to drain? If so, is there a GM gasket to replace or do you just use rtv gasket maker? Thanks
