  1. We recently bought a travel trailer and have been getting it ready for its maiden voyage. Yesterday I put the camping box in the bed of the truck and cut some chain to length to be able to lock the box in the bed of the truck. Nothing too exciting, but that's it. LOL
  2. Maybe? But, I'll answer it this way. We have a 15 year old Nissan Maxima that had never been garaged up until starting a year ago. Most of its life was spent in San Diego with very hot summers, higher UV index than here, and some freezing nights during the winter. No seals leak. We only started garaging it a year ago because we now have a house with a big enough garage for it and all our stuff. Both of my Nissan Frontiers were never garaged. Also, never leaked. Pickup trucks are meant to be used and used outside in good weather or bad. And, understand that the sharkfin seal that is leaking is inside the sharkfin and not something really directly exposed to the elements. So, it really should last longer than 8 months (in my case). Now GM says that inner seal is too small so they are now installing a bigger one. It seems to be a well known design defect that should have been addressed at the assembly line level and not via their customers. The real problem is the gap in the outer seal. It lets water in and there is nowhere for it to drain out so the water just builds up inside until it overwhelms the inner seal. Parking it in the garage and only using it on sunny days just isn't how I use mine and it shouldn't be the way anyone has to use theirs. Hopefully the 2017 models won't have this problem. I know you asked about the sunroof seal, but same sentiments apply regardless of seal.
  3. Curious as to what you are saying here? I'd like to reply, but want to understand what you are asking before I do.
  4. Well, I just had work done on mine. Remote entry wouldn't lock or unlock from the fob. Then, TPMS stopped working. Both of those go to a module called RCDLR. Just got it replaced this week and things seem to be back to normal. I don't know if RCDLR has anything to do with theft warning or hood warning errors though. Also, I've read that certain errors will disable the remote functions so that could be what you are seeing.
  5. Ultimately the RCDLR got replaced today. I think the service adviser had the wrong name for the module. Anyway, sharkfin leak fixed and RCDLR replaced. All is working well at the moment. C'mon rain, let's see if we still have a leak.
  6. No worries. Some posts are worth repeating. LOL
  7. Coby7, thanks for this. I did get water in the dash somewhere because I saw it on the floorboard below the dash after I realized it was dripping from the headliner.
  8. Our '02 Maxima next to Moby.
  9. LOL, yup. Hope this puts a stop the rain for awhile.
  10. Ah, ze plot zickens. On the way to the dealer, the TPMS stopped working! Well, there is a module for the keyless entry and the TPMS. Remote Function Activation Module, I think it was called. Those 2 things go to that module. So, now the thought is the module needs replacing. It'll be at the dealer on Wednesday and I'll get the truck up there ASAP to get it replaced. Stand by.
  11. I've been shooting Nikon for many years now. I got the D500 for Christmas and I couldn't be happier. Along with that I have my trusty D300 that I've had for a long time. Lenses are 18-70, 55-200 VR, 50 1.8, 105 2.8 micro, 300 f4. Flash is Nissin di866 I have an Olympus TG-3 point and shoot for those times I really don't wish to put the expensive stuff in harm's way, like rafting for example. A couple of Impact studio lamps for when I want to do some indoor stuff such as food or product photography. A couple of manfrotto tripods/heads. And a couple of Clikelite backpacks.
  12. Our 2500HD Sierra Denali 4x4 with Duramax.
  13. Oh boy. I don't know if it's related to the leak I had but now the keyless entry stopped working. AGAIN! Criminy. Good thing it's going in for the leak.
  14. Here is what it says on the invoice - "155 updated bcm software 2810215.5" In looking up other service advisories, I don't see any number format that matches other advisory numbers format so I'm thinking they didn't put it on the invoice.
  15. Well, it's good I took it in to the dealer. Turned out there was a service advisory for an upgrade to the Body Control Module (BCM) which is what controls the remote entry system, among other things. Upgrade done. Now hoping the problem is resolved.
  16. Definitely weird. It started working yesterday (no battery swap yet) and worked all day. This morning, nada. Swap in a new battery, still nada. Intermittent problems are the worst. Now that I put in a new battery I will try the reprogram steps and see if that works.
  17. Waumo1, no devices. Thanks for the idea though.
  18. Colossus, agreed. We will change out the batteries just for that reason. Cheap enough to try. Yeah, I have an appt at the dealer on Monday if the battery doesn't do it.
  19. Ok, something just started happening with our 2016 GMC 2500HD Denali 4x4 with the diesel. The remote door lock and unlock won't work every time from either of our fobs. We bought this truck last August so I can't imagine the batteries in both of our fobs have died at the exact same time and only 7 months in. My fob gets used the most with my wife's fob barely getting used at all. Anyone else experience/experiencing this? And, what did you do to remedy it? I guess we can try replacing batteries first, but batteries only lasting 7 months in a fob? And both failing at the same time, especially given one gets frequent use and one barely gets any use. We know it's not a fuse because it does work from time to time.
