  1. There is a lower cost DIY Kit if you want to modify your door harnesses yourself. 2014 - 2019: DL8 - Tow Mirror Upgrade: DIY Kit - Harness Dr. - DIY Done Right
  2. They feel it adds value to the sale. Only people those are good for is someone that is rebuilding a truck where those would be compatible or replacing damaged existing parts.
  3. I’ll take these. Shoot me an email at [email protected] to move forward.
  4. Looks like my messenger inbox is full. Working on clearing messages.
  5. I'll take the safe and puddle lamps. Let me know how to proceed. Thanks!
  6. All, My apologies for the delayed responses to this thread. Not sure what happened to my ability to see this pages via Tapatalk. For anyone needing assistance with this upgrade, I can be contacted at HarnessDR.com Thanks! Phil
  7. If you look in your glove box, do you see A45 and DPN codes? If so, that is the issue. With my DIY Kits and PnP Harnesses, I validate each build to support the swap and for instances like this. Let me know. Thanks, Phil
  8. The lights will not work without either modifying your door harnesses or swapping them out. https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-dl8-tow-mirror-upgrade-diy-kit/ This DIY Kit is used to modify your factory harnesses. https://harnessdr.com/product/2014-2019-dl8-tow-mirror-upgrade-pnp-harness/ This complete PnP harness set will make the swap Plug and Play.
  9. @Vradcliffe, Thanks again for your involvement in this. Your patience and dedication to see this to fruition is greatly appreciated. Foe those looking into this, the harness can be purchased here. https://harnessdr.com/product/2019-2021-silverado-sierra-steering-wheel-lin-bus-harness/ A few things to note: A new compatible cluster swap is needed. The new cluster needs to be custom programmed by WAMS - 2019+ (T1) Denali / High Country Cluster Upgrade Kit - White Automotive & Media Services - @GTPprix is the only company I use for this type of work. Since a new cluster is needed, might as well upgrade to the nicer Denali or High Country Cluster. A few customers have also reported that they gained radio controls (IOR) radios and have restored backlight illumination on the left side. Keep in mind, that this is still a fairly new retrofit and release - so individual results may vary. Thanks!
  10. That is 99.95% the issue. I see it all the time. Make sure the black plastic clip is seated in the groove of the rubber boot. I would try to clean off as much as you can. As I expected. That is corrosion and likely the culprit of your issues. When water gets in, a short will result in the temporary power loss of the window switch, making it want to relearn. 12. The FCA on the wheel will be a dead button. But since you have the 7” IOB system, you’re missing a lot stuff in order to get the IO5/6 8” screen to work. Having the dash doesn’t help with wiring either since the hardware you have now is different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. IO5/IO6 is the 8” like you have now ;) IOB is the 7” screen that doesn’t have an HMI like typically found on an IO4/5/6. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. I wanted to share a picture of this driver side door harness that I’m working on. In my previous posts where I mentioned the issue could be harness related, this is exactly what/why I mentioned that. After inspecting this harness, I found 6 wires (including the large ground wire) with nicks on it. GM doesn’t wrap this section with tape. With the repeated open/close of a door, this area seems to wear. I don’t know how the wires get nicked but I see this all the time. If there is a short occurring here, this could be reason (or one of them) that triggers the open/close window message. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The factory intended operation of the amber forward shining light, is that it runs as a running light (on when your headlights are on, or when you switch your switch to the park lamp mod). The arrow in the glass is turn signal blinker. White rearward shining light is activated by cargo light button. You need a harness swap or modification to your factory harnesses. HarnessDR.com can assist with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I use WAMS (www.WhiteAutoandMedia.com) for all my programming needs. They’ve been doing it for years and do things right. They provision according to GM specs and requirements to get all things to work exactly like factory. New hardware, factory warranty is retained, etc. US based - and all the peace of mind you can ask for.
  18. You won’t need to replace fuse panel with my new setup. You only need to run 2 wires inside the truck. Not bad at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
