    They were just in a complete rush to get the GM trucks out for 2019, and it shows. Not only in the interior, but with the overall build quality we saw early on. I loved my 2016 Sierra but my 19 Silverado was…ehh…very difficult. GM spent a lot on the chassis and powertrains. So the T1 has always had the bones to be the best. I think this refresh will take it there.

    Yeah, it came in last month. Well worth the 4 month wait. It’s ridiculous and way quicker than anything this size deserves to be. Nothing stopping GM from doing the same except their leadership. CEO and half the people in that video are women. They don’t understand that we men are dumb and need high horsepower in everything for no good reason.

    Yeah, the 2.7 is a strong base engine now. And full digital cluster and 13.4” infotainment standard on LT and up? That’s really really impressive for that price point. Side note: The 2021 F150 just got owned not even a year after release. I don’t think Ford did enough to beat Ram let alone this very nice GM product. Interior is better, standard features are better. And even though the suspension isn’t as good as the Raptor, I’d still take a ZR2 over that horrendous V6 trombone exhaust joke.

    Fobs in a faraday bag or box, park in the driveway with the wheel turned hardover so they can’t drag it out as easily. The Club is ridiculous but actually a decent deterrent since nobody has used one since 1997. Modern thieves won’t know how to defeat it. Plus thieves are lazy and would rather just find a softer target.

    Jim is correct. L10 is no different than drive. L9 is the highest you can go with DFM off.

    The T1 20” and even 22” combos are tall enough and have enough of a bulge to protect from curb damage unless you ram into one at full tilt. We don’t often have Canada levels of snow but I’ve run 20s and 22s for the last 6 winters here in WI and never really had any problems. At best I would consider getting some 18” take offs from a Trail Boss or something. The 17” wheels look ridiculous on a T1.

    Unfortunately GM is just not an exciting or risk-taking company under the current leadership. And/or their efforts are all-in on EVs right now. Seems like they don’t really care what the traditional gear heads want.

    In 2019 GM made both the old (K2) and new (T1) body styles. You would need to confirm which one the accessories are made for because nothing interchanges between the two.

    The 10 speed has been pretty solid, not too many posts about issues. Especially not catastrophic failure. But it can happen to anything unfortunately.

    Just saying it shouldn’t be automatically assumed that the people doing the flashing have a good reason. Too bright for their tastes or their eyes doesn’t mean illegal or poorly aimed. There’s countless threads in this and the K2 forum (since they adopted HIDs and LEDs) about people getting flashed in their stock trucks. Same with Ram and Ford. Tall trucks, short cars. It happens. And it’s not because every truck on the planet is coming off the line with badly aimed or non-compliant headlights. If the aim is verified to be good, what more can you do without compromising your own vision?

    Just drive without headlights on. Or replace the LEDs with candles. Because clearly there’s no chance that the people flashing you are wrong or overreacting. The internet people who have never seen your headlights say so.

    People are just flash happy busybodies these days. I swear some of them drive around with eyes full of cataracts just waiting for reasons to feel like a victim. Both my stock 16 and stock 19 would get flashed from time to time. But I refuse to aim my properly adjusted, DOT legal low beams into the dirt because they cross someone’s personal brightness threshold. If I messed with suspension or towed frequently at night I would adjust. Otherwise send them the X-Ray.

    Well, they should have replaced the window after the first caulk job fails. At least they did for mine. And the replacement window never leaked. If they can get you a new window in there and a good glass guy to install it, you should be home free.
