  1. Definitely take it in. Probably be a wait on the parts, but get it started at least.
  2. Only 86 outside? Shouldn’t be overheating. We’ve had way worse than that lately and mines never done it. Black truck with black interior.
  3. Yup. Mine have lasted two years and still going too. Pretty impressive. Lots of crappy LED bulbs wouldn’t live half that long.
  4. Just the High Country and Midnight Edition LT TB get those headlights. LTZ has the same ones as LT & RST, with incandescent turn signals. I put the LASFIT LEDs in mine.
  5. No reason to think they would bring them back for 2022.5. Those particular combos aren’t remotely competitive anymore, especially the 4.3 6 speed. I mean, Ford’s standard transmission has FOUR more gears! Even the Ram gets 8. Sure, you can argue if 8 or 10 speeds are really needed. But Joe Customer is just going to see an overhead valve V6, 6 speed combo for the dinosaur it is.
  6. Next year’s order guide is online. 4.3 is dead for 2022, so is the AFM 5.3, and so is the 6 speed trans. 2.7 / 8 speed is the new base powertrain with the DFM 5.3 8 speed as an option in the WT.
  7. Congrats, sounds like a good upgrade to me. Can’t beat the 6.2 / 10 speed. It sold me over the Ram.
  8. Awesome, keep increasing the value of my 2019. Certainly seems that way. Ram has not deleted any features like this. But they did idle the factory last week due to shortages, so they aren’t perfect. I’m sure a lot of it comes down to management of the supply chain. Toyota has done the best through this. They learned their lesson after the earthquake 10 years ago.
  9. Things are still inflated but definitely starting to level off. June was the month to sell, that’s for sure.
  10. Traded the truck. And put a catback on the new one. Even if they replace the flapper(s) it’ll make the noise again before too long. And even if clamped open, it still blocks off like a third of the pipe so there’s a bit of performance to be gained getting rid of it altogether.
  11. I feel like we’ve done this not too long ago…
  12. I have the 3.42s which doesn’t help economy. Love the performance but it’s a pig. Granted, I also drive “Chicago” highway speeds which is to say I still get run off the road at 85. Only way I ever see 20 MPG is at 65 on flat ground. The 5.3 10 speed is hard to find right now, but presumably someone shopping later in the year might have better luck.
  13. The current 5.3 paired with the 10 speed is a pretty strong combo. Nothing like the GMT900 you have now. I would at least give it a test drive. The 6.2 is a thirsty bastard, no way around it. I’m lucky to get 18 highway and 12-13 around town. The power is awesome but if you value economy, forget it.
  14. I’m not aware of any software method to defeat it like the F150 or Ram can. Definitely annoying for those on a jobsite or just bumming around on their property. Seatbelt extender will work though.
  15. I was flying my DJI Mini 2 a bit over the weekend. Got to thinking about the range anxiety I feel with that drone, and how I couldn’t handle an EV at this point for the same exact reason. The drone battery gets to 30% and I’m landing ASAP. Now I know an EV won’t fall out of the sky if the battery dies. But getting stuck somewhere without a way to charge isn’t much more attractive to me.
  16. One of the worst things I have seen is Trump-hating people burning a nearby city to the ground last summer. So your point is?
  17. There’s a trucker shortage to go along with every other shortage. So generally nobody really knows.
  18. I had a silver SLT loaner for a bit, grew to love the color and the look. Get it. Lot more people coming on here with regret for not getting a certain option than there are because they don’t like chrome or something.
  19. Nope. Tech package has an entirely different upper dash for the HUD, specific windshield, different review mirror for the camera display, different third brake light to house the cameras. Same story on Driver Alert II. Different switchgear, forward camera for lane keep assist. Heck, even the seat is different because it vibrates if you’re gonna wreck.
  20. The back speakers being very quiet is normal unfortunately. I replaced them with 2 way JBLs, helped a little on the highs, but they simply don’t get enough juice. My LKA and BSM almost work too well. Constant nudging and alerts.
  21. It’s the same on the pillar. Pass side has a loop in the belt to stop it banging around on the plastic. You know GM, counting every penny.
  22. For the most part I actually like it. I do think it needs a bit more ride height, and more tire. Especially in that TRD Pro configuration to keep proportions in line. They tried to hype it as a Raptor competitor but that’s clearly not so. Not even really a Trail Boss competitor to be honest. I also understand the shock and initial reaction. It’s bold, and there hasn’t been a new Tundra since 1947.
  23. Nope, never any codes or errors with the Roto-Fab. Have had it on since October 2019.
  24. Heat gun (not too close or for too long) and peel. Since one piece already fell off and they aren’t old, they should come off really easy and most likely residue free. Main thing is minimizing any sort of scrubbing you have to do on the paint. Black is not forgiving.
