  1. Yes, the mid level radio (and therefore the SD reader) is standard on LTZ. Buckets are not, so if there is no console, the card reader is in the same “module” as the USB ports on the lower dash.
  2. It didn’t come with, it but it is actually a GM part. It has a bowtie on it but they do also make them with a GMC logo, I had one on my last truck. Nothing fancy but keeps the salt out of that area and covers any scratches in the hitch from normal use.
  3. Probably not fair to do a fuel economy comparison between a GMT800 that was designed in the 90s and a current F150, but I get it. Everyone has their own angle of brainwashing. Plenty of people complaining about oil consumption (and worse) on the 2.7 as well. You can find whatever verdict and opinion you want to see on the internet these days.
  4. The base stereo in the RST does not have an SD slot and is not upgradable to nav. If you have convenience package II on your truck, you would have the SD slot in your console as Blanz said.
  5. Curious as to what year Silverado you had that couldn’t do better than 17 MPG highway. Unless you’re driving 90 mph, the K2s and T1s will get at least 20 and usually a lot more. I saw 24 on a few trips with my 16 5.3.
  6. Very nice. Should be much better to drive and better equipped than the old custom. I say it to everyone, but that rig is just screaming for a black bowtie.
  7. Invisible mod today. Chevy performance exhaust. Loving it so far.
  8. That being said, my truck did not do it at all today, and it was 14 degrees. Maybe just dumb luck...
  9. Well I hope GM is reading this thread and watching their sales float away. A lot of dealers and sales guys know nothing of the issue because they haven’t sold a whole lot of these yet. Especially the higher end ones that have this “feature”. My dealer didn’t know of any updates to fix this issue yet as of this morning. They promised to call me, GM promised to call me, so I guess I just sit and wait.
  10. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident. I’ve heard of a few people having it but it doesn’t seem like a widespread, recurrent problem.
  11. Personally I really like the “custom” trim level grill / front end you have. Looks sharp.
  12. Dealer should have done all the updates before delivery. Think they are required to by GM.
  13. Yeah no way we should have to pull fuses on a 60k dollar truck to make it drivable. Heading to the dealer in the morning to see if there’s any new developments.
  14. The Kicker is just becoming available. It only appeared on the app last week sometime. I don’t know of anyone who has it yet or if they are even shipping as of now. If you have the myChevrolet app, you can view it in the accessories store there, but it doesn’t seem to come up on the main site. I’m waiting for them to load the install instructions so I can look it over... and maybe let a few people try it out before I put up the $700 for it. I’m pretty happy with the Bose as it is anyway.
  15. Supposedly the rear springs are “heavier duty” but I’m not sure what that entails. Beyond that it probably comes down to liability and diminished towing capacity making the original NHT ratings unsafe or inaccurate after install. I would say for sure the warranty on the parts would be gone. Installing them on an NHT would give GM an easy “out” on that.
  16. The only other thing to look out for is that you can't install it if you have the max trailering package. I should say the dealer won't install it...
  17. Card stays in the slot. Believe the software is made by Telenav. Traffic is from Onstar.
  18. Well, I would think if GM told the other guy today that the fix is coming in 7-10 days, the work they did to your truck @kensseirra , is probably not it. I think we’ve all been to the dealer to have the inspect the connector, etc. That was in the original TSB dated Jan 7th. Maybe they were just double checking that until the actual fix comes in. I will be at the dealer in the next week to have my performance exhaust put on. Hoping they will have the program by then.
  19. Liners are carpet on the K2s and T1s. You kinda gotta be careful what you spray on them. Solvent based tire shines stay “wet” and will do nothing but trap more dust and dirt in the fibers. Those products can also harm the coating on the frame which is exposed beneath the rear liners. Water based protectants are fine for the carpets, but personally I just leave them alone. They are pretty easy to clean with a brush and hose and they look the same with or without anything extra on them.
  20. I’m not an engineer but presumably when the engine is started cold and the t-stat is closed, is anything even flowing through the rad at that point? In other words, how would the shutters help warm it up any faster? I would imagine they didn’t fit them because even when they are open it does restrict airflow. Probably not a huge amount but if you’re towing something heavy in the summer, maybe every little bit helps?? Also, did the EPA fuel economy numbers go up at all with the introduction of them in 2017?
  21. If it makes you feel any better, there was one guy on the Facebook group who already had to have his repaired on his ‘19. Ultimately it’s just another thing to break. I also doubt they are plug and play. I know when there is a failure with them, you’ll get a check engine light, so there’s probably at a minimum programming involved. If the dealer can’t even tell you why you don’t have them, don’t expect them to figure out the program.
  22. By that I mean NOT having them is part of the NHT package.
  23. I don’t have them on mine nor do I see an RPO on my build sheet for them. Do you have the max trailering package too? Maybe it’s a part of the “enhanced cooling radiator”???
