  1. Well, was thinking about a long bed diesel, WAS. Obviously the new diesels are still junk with the def system. What a total bummer for those who where told " all is good now with the def system"
  2. Good deal they are trying to take care of you, I wouldn't want preexisting scratches on my new truck, that's my job.....
  3. I would be surprised if it came out bad, most people take pride in their work, MOST people.....
  4. Standards are standards, doesn't matter who assembles it.
  5. I think buying at the right time might be a better bet then waiting on factory incentives. I bought my truck the last day of November, their last day to get factory money for sales off the floor, my truck had sat for 8 months, got 13 grand off, less then they paid. They where willing to take a slight loss on my truck to get the factory money. Now with inventory low, that may not happen this year at a all. I dunno.
  6. Inspect for adhesive after install. Had mine done in my driveway, Satellite, came out perfect as far as i can tell.
  7. Isn't he asking for the low range gear ratio? I thought low range was 2.42:1, I dunno.
  8. So, bummer, sorry to hear this. Both the new 1500 and now the 2500's have leaks, truly WTF, why can't GM build a water tight vehicle?
  9. See a lot of nice wheels in here, a lot of high dollar rims, for sure. Here are some cheap Visions, they look good, ride really well, all balanced and smooth.
  10. You're going to hate your RPM's in the mountains, but it will do it. It's designed to do just that.
  11. If you're not feeling it in your hands, the vibration, and are feeling it from below, I would check that driveshaft for balance and trueness.
  12. Backspacing is key here. Offset measures from the mounting hub to the center of the wheel, backspacing, it measures from the back of the wheel to the mount hub, so it never really changes, find that measurement, usually close to stock, add an in or so, and buy wheels.
  13. I've seen lowered 4x4's, so yeah.
  14. Had my snorkeled Tacoma in deep mud and water all the time, once the bottom of the seats got wet, it's sensor replacement time. The Tacoma breathed in through the fender, a lot like our trucks do. That fender intake area is above the bottom of the seats, so it didn't really help at all. The truck would have kept running, but the electric are going to crap out.
  15. Hmmm, you have me thinking here.... Big truck, check. Harley, check. Mud bike 4 wheeler, check. I've been buying and building guns, not much of a hunter, just shooting paper, but it's fun.
  16. Pump up your tires, man. That's the only thing that touches the ground, take care of them, they'll kill you if you let them.....
  17. Trucks are giant on the inside. I find my truck to be more comfortable then my German sports car.....You can move all over the place in a truck to get comfortable.
  18. I'm starting to see some double cab models in my area now, as much as I would like the power of the diesel, I don't tow heavy at all right now. My 6.0 is fine for my duties, so I would imagine that the new 6.6 gas would be just a little better, just don't know if I want more truck payments just to get a long bed.... In the future maybe I'll get a trailer to yank around and see things in, i.e. diesel, I dunno.
  19. Whoa, tell us what they find, please.....
  20. Check EBay, yes they're out there.
  21. On my 2017 2500 the light switch has like 4 positions, auto, off to the left, all on to the way right, and a running light selection in the middle position. Just the running lights are on, tail, side marker, and mirror lights. I can drive with the lights in this position, they don't go up to the "on" setting setting.
  22. I know I can't see a quarter of an inch off side to side, I would have to measure it.....And, outa sight, outa mind. It drives great? Put the tape measure away.
  23. And I thought this forum was full of adults, what a bunch of pointless bickering. Better engine? Grumpys right, they all make the same power to much the truck at any given mph, if it takes 100 hp to over come air resistance and rolling resistance at 60 mph, that's the power they both make. The 6.2 makes more power, sure.
  24. Lifting the truck at all gets more air under and around the suspension and undercarriage bits that are in no way aerodynamic. May not seem much, but you're also pushing that much more air over the truck....
  25. Good deal GM is stepping in here. All they have to do is see that frame.... Tell us what happens, my 2017 truck’s frame still looks like the above pictured frame, just a lot dirtier. Yours should also.
