  1. No offense, but this is one feature that would make me not buy a vehicle, I know you can turn it off, but in reality, there hardest thing you do to your engine is start it. All the torque coming from the end of the crankshaft, not all the pistons pushing down in line with the crank. Auto start and stop is a stop to the purchase for me
  2. So discouraging, so ridiculous that the mighty diesel is reduced ti this.
  3. The 10 speed addition to the 6.6 gasser line would sell a bunch of trucks apparently.
  4. What a POS dealership, never, NEVER, give them your business, even after things go towards normal, they won't help you, don't help them.
  5. Big trucks for big toys..... The more you tow, the more you want that 3500 down the road. I don't tow hardly at all right now, never mind towing heavy, so my 2500 is fine for me. But as I near 60 this summer, a nice toy hauler to see the rest of the county would be way cool.
  6. Everyone reading this thread will be dead before we have a reliable power grid able to handle all these cars we are supposedly supposed to have by 2030. Plus, that's just the charging side, how many of you are ready to give up, range, where to "fill up", and when to fill up, as so many can' t charge at the same time??? Unless some new technology shows up, we are still 50- 75 years from full electric, the cars and battery need massive improvement, the infrastructure needs to be built to handle these extra loads. Now, if we had Fusion power under control, we could do this stuff easily, electrify the roads and charge as you drive, make every roof, window, and side walk a solar collector, it's just not going to happen in todays or tomorrows world until we can generate power and get out to the masses.
  7. I think I would go with the 3500, you can always haul lighter, but you can’t haul heavier. As soon as you start looking at trailers......
  8. Let that new truck break in, then give it some beans, it's powerful, not fast. Nearly 4 tons takes a lot to get moving, turing, or stoping. You'll be used to after a long day of driving....
  9. Goodness, I wish I could jump around from one 80K truck to another. Good for you.
  10. G80 is kind of a bad example of both, but it does both, limited slip first, then when things speed up it locks up. Dare I say you're both right?
  11. I respectively disagree.... So, I went and looked up a bunch of mid travel kits for Silverado's, and all where 10 inches and under, Fords Raptor out of the box, gets almost 14 inches of travel. I'll stick with my statement.
  12. If you think a high end leveling kit will put a Silverado in Raptor suspension territory, you're sadly mistaken.
  13. Hmmm, I see nice examples right on the Chevy find inventory link for $50K ish, gas of course.
  14. I left the stocker in place, added second battery in provided tray. Bought a cheap kit off eBay, haven't had any problems in nearly 4 years.
  15. Humans are the ONLY problem, take humans off the Earth, and it would heal back to a natural state. Not this chemically polluted thing that we have made.
  16. So pretty much plug and play? I tried to use a different canned company, and plugged it in, and had to upload the proper info from my computer into it, my Mac was unable to put a disk into..... so no go.
  17. If we don't get away from fossil fuels to travel across the face of the planet, we won't make it another 150 years. We need full electric vehicles when we have fusion power plants, electrify the roads, there's your charger. I don't see it happening in any form for decades.
  18. Towed this a while back, needed to redo the drain field, about 12K pounds, trailer had surge brakes, towed it fine, 60 mph max. 50 mile round trip pull, no milage report.
  19. Why is the truck "too much"? Rough ride empty? Crap fuel milage? Don't tow enough? Just curious.....
  20. Gage might read funny, but I'm sure you can get a real good estimate of fuel in the tank, or just multiply the gallons buy MPG and theres your range.
  21. I'm still flabbergasted that the build site calls these an installed option, and we see people tearing their new truck apart to install this stuff, no way. NO WAY would I do this for an ordered factory option. Sorry. You're being taken to the cleaners, just buy an after market switch panel, and install it wherever you want, totally ridiculous. GM should be embarrassed. It's like ordering the tire and wheel package you want, and having to mount them yourself.
  22. Tire pressure threshold can be adjusted by the dealer, just have to find one that's willi to do int.
  23. You're going to have to find it, and see what's up, tell us what you find. Could be just the weatherstripping, or an out of alignment door, I dunno.
  24. This is scary ****** right here. My truck has never done it, '17 2500hd, but just the thought of coming out of a job site or restaurant, and finding the truck all piled up against a car in the parking lot. Try explaining that one to the insurance company.
  25. Would make a nice swap into my truck, just give me a computer with it so the tuning is done already.
