    You could buy an HMI 2.5 and get in touch with a company called Model Electronics. You can send the module in to them and they can set it up for you. It costs me $100 because I work for a dealership, it may cost anyone else more, I’m not sure. But mine is set up with the right VIN and I have CarPlay and NAV now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I just saw what’s called an “emerging issue” today on my GM training list today that talked about an update to the wireless charging systems that don’t function well. I want to say that it might be a special coverage and therefore would be free. It includes a new charging module and updated harness. I’ll get the coverage number tomorrow and give an update.     Well if I had to completely guess. I’d do the door lock actuator. I’ve replaced a bunch of them. No way to be certain unless you test the circuits to the actuator. If you can do that, you can feel more confident about the repair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    It varies so much for the 8 speed. So many things it could be. Finding someone at the dealer proficient in the understanding of how the inside of one actually works is tough. Most out units in or just replace parts and pray for a fix. It’s hard to diagnose the 8 speed issues without seeing data. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Okay, I verified with a schematic, the drivers door ajar message is controlled through the window motor, the motor has an internal logic that control this message from the BCM to the IPC. Get the motor changed, it should fix it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    If im not mistaken the drivers window switch is like a small module and has a logic internal to it that also controls the door ajar message to the cluster. This thing may just need the window switch. Only saying because I ran into this before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    50/50 mix of Dexcool and distilled water. I just use regular water from a tap. Never had problems with it. You could buy it premixed or mix it yourself. Don’t know how that post made it onto the heated steering wheel thread though [emoji33] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The blue lock slides upward towards the connector face. You only need to move it to the first stop position. X203 just pushes straight in. Look at the orientation of the existing terminals to get a good idea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So, have the pump replaced, inspect the line from the pump to the booster for oil intrusion, if okay, only replace the pump, if there’s oil, replace the booster, the line and the pump. Check oil level as well. It is a new design and functions better. I’ll have to do mine soon as it’s starting to make noise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So while backing into a space with your foot mostly on the pedal, easing yourself into the spot sort of feathering the brake pedal.....that will drain the vacuum in the booster. The vacuum pump doesn’t keep up. See about having the vacuum pump replaced, there is a new design out. Make sure no engine oil is in the vacuum pump tube from the booster to the pump. If there is oil, it’ll need a booster, the line and the pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    In my experience of servicing the models since 2001, I have absolutely without a doubt seen way more issues with the 2014-15 models. Mainly the 2014’s. These problems range from just about anything you can imagine. I have a 2016 with about 35K on it and all I’ve done is regular oil changes. No problems with it yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    The consoles have really gotten out of control as far as pricing goes. They used to be had used on eBay easily around $350 shopped! I bought mine for $400 shipped. Seems like the sellers have caught onto the demand and prices have risen. You can hardly find one on eBay now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I got mine free, the customer stated there was a bump in the top of it. I searched all over and couldn’t find what he was talking about. Anyway, I replaced it and held onto the part for 30 days until GM states it can be disposed of and I took it for my truck. Win! [emoji1417] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
