    Rule #1 about dealerships... do not believe anything a salesman says. They are beyons clueless about their own product they sell.

    GM calling them "auto-folding" is a misnomer. I was confused at first too, trying to figure out how they "auto-fold." Whether it's when you shut the ignition off or shift to park or what. Turns out you have to cycle the "auto" mirrors either with the button on the drivers door or with the key fob.

    This was my first thought as well.. wondering if whatever undercoating they applied completely counteracted the factory wax coating?

    Ok, so double that 28 lbs up to 56 lbs. From 26 gal to 34 gal tank. You are still never going to notice 56 lbs in a 5500 lb truck is my point. General rule of thumb is 1 tenth for every 100 lbs in a 1/4 mile. So that is only 5 hundredths of a second slower. No person is ever going to notice that by feel.

    Gas weighs 7 lbs per gallon, give or take. An extra 4 gallons (26 to a 30 gallon tank) would only be an additional 28 lbs. An extra 28 lbs on a 5500 lb truck that has a 1500lb payload capacity, you will never notice.
