Well the new windshield is in, the front bumper has been repainted, and all the ppf has been finished up. Plus I had them add some tint to my front windows. That tint really makes the truck look better, hopefully the police here leave me alone... -
On my last truck I had the first 18" of the hood and fenders done plus the bumper. Well they say you can hardly see the line where the material is on the hood and fenders but maybe because I knew it was there I could see it all the time. And then when the truck got dusty I could really see the line... So on the new truck I had them completely wrap the hood and fenders. They also did the complete front bumper, my door sills, the little quarter section just in front of the rear wheel and inside the rear wheel wells with a 1/8" roll over the lip. I basically tried to cover all the places I found stone chips on the last truck... Cost... well lots...$2350 Canadian but in my opinion its well worth it... I drive a fair bit of gravel and there's no shortage of sand and salt on our roads in the winter.....

Adding USB Port to the center console
Bhurt replied to 20ElevationDarkSky's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I am also trying to figure this out... I'd like the charge and data so I don't have the wire running out of the dash to plug into my phone. My 2017 had the usb port in the top part so hopefully the wiring is still there in this one and its plug and play... Anyone with a 2019+ have usb ports in the center console of the bench 40/20/40 seat? -
Well I traded in my 2017 2500HD with the 6.0 Gas engine in on this 2021 RST with the Duramax and the 10 speed. Originally I purchased the 2500 for payload capacity to haul our sled deck and a couple sleds all winter, but now we have upgraded from the deck to a 20' enclosed trailer. The other day we were at the dealership and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse to trade in my 2500. And with fuel prices rising and the 2500 only getting about 8 MPG I decided it was time for a change. The ride is way more cushy and the crew cab is so much better for passengers in the 21. I don't think the new truck stands out as much but its still nice. Hopefully the Duramax gets better fuel mileage and will haul the trailer as well as I hope it will...

It's a lot of chrome... I won an xpel kit on an auction for next to nothing for the truck shortly after I bought it, so I had him wrap the chrome bumper too. The part thats wrapped is great still but inside the wheel wells on the edge of the bumper where the xpel doesn't cover is showing signs of rust coloration. I clean it up and it will wipe away good but if the rest of the chrome bumper starts to do stuff like that its gonna get a plasti dip or rhino lining done to it. The package didn't do the grill either so I already have a couple chips in the fake chrome on the plastic grill/headlight bezel, which means it will undergo the same plasti dip/rhino treatment in the future. -

No problem. This is how it came. Color matched handles and black mirror caps, cloth heated seats, 8” stereo, and all those bells and whistles, plow prep and z71 off road package, and the best option ever.....rubber floor!!! No carpet in this girl. Front and rear bumpers are chrome and the grill. My thought is that they may go black in the future. -

She’s pretty stock actually. Still the factory duratracs. Gonna go to a 35” if I ever wear these ones out. Otherwise it’s got 2.25” ready lift keys up front and a 2” ready lift block in the back. Next upgrades would be upper control arms and diff spacers so I could crank up the front a little more. But if I am doing all that I will probably just pull it all out and go to a 6” lift and 37” tires. Overall though ugh I am quite happy with it the way it is. Just high enough to stand out and I can still get through the drive thrus with the sled on the back. Lol. -
Amber Side Marker running lights led

I think if you tapped into your interior light circuit you would have that function, minus being on with the remote start. -

Just did this on my 6.0 Double cab... love the look of extra lights. I just tapped into the rear trailer wiring at my plug that goes into the box for the Deck lights.. -

This one is bolted into the box, takes me about a 1/2 hour to unbolt and pull it off with a tractor, little longer if I have to find a couple guys and man handle it off. Its got a 10' ramp that slides right under the deck. Each sled probably averages between 500-600 pounds all fueled up, then add for gear and ice/snow build up. And the deck weighs about 400 pounds. I have hauled my quads on it before, just driving up the ramp is a little more sketchy on the quads than on the sleds. Don't have any pictures of it with the quads on this truck but next spring when I haul the quads to the lake I will snap a few. The extra weight doesn't really phase the truck, I can feel it a little more than my old dodge but I think its because of the shorter wheel base on this truck, plus the 2" lift/level. -

I actually used the old style red metal oil change ramps with a couple 2x6 boards underneath the front of them. If I didn’t have the tonneau cover it probably would have fit with just the ramps. The metal ramps are about 1-2” higher than the new plastic style ones.

The 6.0L handled the load quite well. I had the boat full of stuff, under the quad was full of stuff, and 3 people plus a cooler in the cab. She was well loaded, cruised at 60MPH (100kph) for a 120 Mile trip (200km) and averaged about 8mpg according to the truck calculation.
