  1. How much power did you loose below 3000?
  2. It should be. Which is part of lawsuit I believe.
  3. Thanks, but I still can't find anything specifically stating the l86 has coated bearings...
  4. Why the 1.5" spacers in the rear?
  5. I recommend using your optical calipers. If something is hitting or rubbing you'll see it
  6. Is that yours?!
  7. I went back to the stock intake a while ago and said I would never buy aftermarket again. And here I am buying one I'm also working on porting a intake manifold for a 95mm and need an intake that will fit. Hoping I can open up the afe intake little bit too. 4 month nationwide backorder for this intake
  8. Anyone know if the rod bearings are coated in the l86. I know the lt1 is..
  9. No you don't need a catch can to disable afm. Your air intake will not affect anything.
  10. Yes. They should be the same but yours is way out. I would check for leaks at the intake manifold or the exhaust. My truck picked up a small leak after a kooks header swap. One of the flanges wasn't flat. Torquing it down straightened it out for the most part, but not enough to be perfect.
  11. Fox is one the best. Should probably buy fox for all 4 corners though. I'm not sure how noticeable the differences in damping would be, but I don't think it would be a good thing.
  12. No, you don't have to change anything physical. The programmer re-programs the ecu, telling it not to engage afm. From then on it will stay in v8 full time.
  13. My understanding is that if you go with a full level (2" - 2.5") You're opening yourself up to potential failure if you don't upgrade the control arms.
  14. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery?year=2017&make=GMC&model=Sierra 1500&suspension=Suspension Lift 2.5q&sort=date
  15. Where did you get these specs for the cross member bolts? *edit* @CamGTP My mistake, he's talking trans mount
  16. I'm just curious about what complaints you have with the oe wires.
  17. So you managed to take a picture while the semi-truck forced your from your lane I'm not sure if your aware, but the engine pulls air from the front grille. So if your going fast enough, your at the right angle, and there's enough water... well you know the rest *edit* I should have read your whole post before commenting
  18. Hows your oil pressure?
  19. My fuel mileage improved. Why? Because I could actually control the damn engine instead of it bucking in and out of afm when not needed or wanted! Its the stupiderist thing ever. A computer says it reduces emissions so were forced to put up with it. Real world it does . Sorry, needed to vent And what about all the emissions generated in manufacturing all these extra lifters? Was that taken into account!
  20. GM has an army of lawyers. This will go nowhere just like the 8spd class action lawsuit.
  21. Owners manual: https://cdn.dealereprocess.org/cdn/servicemanuals/chevrolet/2018-silverado1500.pdf Your going to get a million and one different opinions... I would test the shocks to see if they need to be replaced. Body mount bushing's can have a big impact on comfort/feel of the vehicle, and they may be dried out (like mine were). I use acdelco oil filters, but I really hate how the threads of the filter have substantial burring on them. I think most people here would agree oem spark plugs are your best bet. As to whether or not you should change them, "use your judgement. How does the engine perform, idle etc. I use the gm recommended washer fluid. My last truck I used standard -40 fluid, and over time it built up film on the windshield that just did not want to come off. Differences in type of alcohol/content I guess I like the gm wipers Nothing wrong with the oe air filter. I would replace the cabin filter yearly. They pack up with debris fairly easily. Look for one anti-microbial, your truck will smell better for it.
  22. Thanks! I wanted to make sure it wasn't a smaller opening for the 5.3. I take it you weren't happy with It?
  23. Modifying is never finished; you'll be changing something soon enough
