Goose Hunter, the Trail Boss kit is actually a 2" lift kit and not a "level". Some here have added a 1.5" leveling key to their Trail Bosses to bring the front end more level to the rear, as the Factory Trail Boss still contains rake.

To test what Andy is describing with V4 mode operation, select M for manual and use the +/- sign on your shifter and stop at M5 This will keep your truck in V8. Drive around for a while and see if the noise you are hearing stops.

From what I understand, the hardest part of the repair is removing or more-so re-installing the seat cover. Other than that it is just a wire mat sandwiched between the foam. Both my seat cushion and lumbar back elements had failed. I am with you on not attempting certain repairs. Sometimes we can do more harm than good there. Is your 4wd selector knob in 2wd? When in Auto 4wd or say 4hi you can hear certain growling noises which are normal. Especially when applying throttle. Maybe a dumb question but check to see that your selector knob is in the 2wd position. Assuming you have a 4x4.

Your heating elements are shot. '14 and '15 trucks were notorious for this. Mine have been replaced twice under warranty. Second set is still holding up thankfully. As far as your noise.... not much help there. Can you isolate the general area the noise is emitting from? Such as transmission, rear end or engine area?

Depending on the size of the radiator crack, air can get in without necessarily allowing coolant to fizzle or leak out. At least this is what my dealer explained. My level drop only occurred In the warmer summer months and again about 1/8" or about 2 cups of coolant over the course of 3-4 months or a few thousand miles. Again because the OP has a 2014 Model I brought up this TSB radiator problem so he can check that out and possibly have it fixed free now without having to buck up down the road. Dealers are usually favorable to taking care of TSB issues on early models because they know there were definite problems early on.

Ford has had it's fair share of recalls very recently. So has RAM Ford 6 speed transmissions can unexpectedly shift into first gear, causing the truck to abruptly come to a stop. I will take a leaky head and burned out LED unit over flying through the windshield any day. Ford recently had recalls due to the seat belt retract mechanism catching fire. GM sent out a bulletin for Electric Power Steering reprogramming back in the fall. So not to say GM is perfect but Ford has their fair share of problems. Less than RAM though but not as many as GM. Of course safety recalls are far more serious in nature than mechanical defects.

Up at the top on both driver and passenger sides. Or on one side or another. The cracks are where the aluminum meets the composite plastic. Where they are fused together. It was slowly evaporating thru the cracks and no visible sign of dripping onto the floor or ground. I had also noticed my coolant level dropping about 1/8-3/16" from the full fill mark in the reservoir.

Fender/Bumper Front at points 3 & 9 O'Clock GMC's front leading edge angle ( BLUE ) also makes this lift tire combo very Odd.

Air in the system from my cracked radiator caused mine to fluctuate. My dealer explained this cause and effect to me in detail. So I agree with you Mike. Hence my comment on the OP checking his radiator for cracks and reservoir level since his is a '14 model. Early '15 Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban models also had the same flaw.

OEM batteries can last as little as a year and as much as 6 years. My '14 sierra is still on the original battery. My dad retired from Delco Remy. The plant he worked at produced Delco batteries for GM. I would trust what the dealer relayed to you. If it was something more serious i'm sure they would have looked into it. Plus the fact that your intermittent problems are occurring during cold weather which places extra stress on batteries. Todays trucks are packed with electronics, computers, sensors etc.

Yeah..... that is in the normal operating range. There was a TSB on some of the earlier '14 and 15' K2 trucks about a cycling thermostat causing radiator stress fractures. Since you have a '14, your thermostat may be doing this. Have you noticed any coolant evaporation or low coolant in the reservoir? I had my Radiator and thermostat replaced under warranty for this.

Thousands of K2 owners have modified exhaust systems without a flapper in place and have not experienced engine problems. Sounds like your dealer is playing the guessing game R32R1
