  1. I use Griot's Best of Show Detailer and Speed shine. So far it is the best light dust remover I have used. Comes off super easy compared to Meguiars quik detailer.
  2. Great looking Sierra! So why the switch from FORD ?
  3. Hopefully in all of your cases...…… the Vacuum Pump did not grenade metal shavings into your engine oil or engine, as it is lubricated by engine oil.
  4. SYLVANIA ZEVOs are what I used. Picked them up at AutoZone
  5. I would email or call the lift companies. Such as Rough Country, MotoFab etc....
  6. I hand wash also, but use the want to soak the truck down first to remove any light dust. Black is not great for auto car washes! LOL
  7. In that case, watch out when you head to the car wash with the slider! I have learned to just keep the wand away from that area at full pressure.
  8. It is the nature of the beast. 2019 T1 GM trucks have the same sliding unit as the K2 current/outgoing platform. My '14 sierra slider does not "leak" , but rather water gets in at car washes on occasion. Just enough to sprinkle the rear seat top. Especially if you use the want and spray at an angle from the side. Other than that rain and normal wet conditions do not produce any leaking. My neighbor has an F150 and his slider does the same thing. A good friend of mine has a new RAM 1500 and his also lets water in at the car wash.
  9. You have a brand new truck with a full warranty. Why ask for diagnosis here? Take it to your dealer and let them handle it.
  10. is your truck 2wd ?
  11. It's Funny. In the which do you like more poll..... 2019 Silverado or Sierra.... Sierra got the win or is leading to this point. However, there are clearly more 2019 Silverado owners over the Sierra.... at least on this forum.
  12. We drive Trucks. Big Heavy Trucks. NO shock that I know of will eliminate the jarring feeling of cracks and expansion joints. Guys have even spent a fortune on Coil Overs only to be let down. One suggestion I have is air down the tires a bit. Somewhere between 32-35psi. Sure MPG will suffer slightly but the extra comfort is worth it to me. This made a big difference for me with the old junk Ranchos and new 5100s.
  13. Basically the "chop" or flutter sounds like a muted version of an old Huey Helicopter. Here is an example starting at about the 50 second mark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=76&v=UzDNgaZzt1s
  14. There is no need for the flapper if you plan on Deleting the AFM to run full V8
  15. Here is what looks off and strange to me with GMC T1: The Proportions of the Tire to Fender Opening ( RED ) Compared to the Gap between the tire & Fender Rear... Fender/Bumper Front at points 3 & 9 O'Clock GMC's front leading edge angle ( BLUE ) also makes this lift tire combo very Odd! This is a 6" lift. Silverado looks much better with a lift due to round openings. Not so much with Sierra.
  16. This must be Satin Steel Metallic. It has a deceiving Pewter look to it in certain lighting conditions.
  17. 4600s are the same internal shock, with yellow paint on the outside and blue boots/protectors. Other than the silver look to 5100's, 4600's will do the same job if you are not wanting to level the front end.
  18. Correct part numbers for the Bilstein 5100 for our K2's : Front: 24-238304 (Adjustable) Rear: 33-238319 I have not seen these sold as a set of 4 so yes double check your order......
  19. +2 on the Booster Vacuum Pump. When they go out, sometimes metal shavings can enter the engine causing harm. The booster is lubricated with engine oil. See below:
  20. Dan, You should not have to "Shim" a 60K Brand new Truck ! I am surprised that a GM representative has not chimed into this Topic yet to offer you assistance.
  21. No difference here either. For those with no symptoms or problems you cannot tell it was even completed or updated. It is basically just a software update.
  22. My '94 was around 24K if memory serves me correct. A comparably equipped 2018 is around the 40k mark for an LT package today. I would not spend that for a Reg. Cab Short Bed A recent search only yielded about 200 of them within a 500 mile radius. This also includes Standard Bed Reg. Cabs..... so rare indeed they are!
  23. Life is like a bunch of GM Transmissions..... You Never Know What You're Gonna Get!
