  1. You should have got a firm dealer discount price before you ordered. That’s the one price that can be constant. The rebates are what the variable is.
  2. **Disclaimer** I don’t have a 2.7 nor have I driven one. When the engine was first announced and I watched some YouTube videos on it I was very excited to about it. Loved seeing where the HP and TQ curves were. Then I started comparing numbers to the 2.7 EB and I was a little disappointed. I can’t even remember what they were but I remember the EBs were better. Then when I saw TFL Truck do a 2.7 GM vs 2.7 EB comparison I was really bummed. The EB pretty much beat it in every test they did. I’m not saying it isn’t a good motor because I bet it’s pretty good and I haven’t really heard of any issue pop up with the engine itself yet. I just remember when GM was the top dog. However I was super impressed with the 2.7 doing the “super Ike” being fully maxed out and the time it made.
  3. Who cares why he did what. If he loves his truck then I love his truck. Unless you’re going to spending YOUR money on upgrades for HIS truck why do you care so much. There’s times when you make some good points but just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean it’s gospel. You have a DC. ( At least your said in another post) In my opinion I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would buy one. But that’s just my opinion. If you like it and it makes you happy then I like It and I’m happy. Just be happy for other people when they spend THEIR money to fulfill THEIR “tastes.”
  4. You can get the digital gauges and HUD in the AT4. I’m with you in the suspension isn’t that great on the AT4. You can spend $2500 on a fox or King setup and come out on top. But many people are buying the AT4 because it is essentially a Denali with less chrome. I drove the 5.3/8 speed AT4 and 6.2/10 speed AT4 back to back (2019 models) and in a daily driving setting you can’t really tell the difference. As soon as you go to step on it and give it some gas the 6.2 makes more power quicker and you can definitely tell. Where I’m at in Utah the highest octane you can get is 91 and it’s only around .20 more than the 87. So for me and my driving habits it will only cost less than $10 a month more in gas to go 6.2. When I finally make my purchase I will go 6.2. I don’t need it but I kinda just want it.
  5. My guess is MSRP was right around $57,080 on the truck he bought. So he probably got around 13-15k off sticker.
  6. You can add a ton of options on an AT4. I had one with a MSRP of over 65k down to 50k but it had the tow mirrors so I didn’t end up doing it. Just getting rid of the 6.2, Tech Package and sunroof would eliminate 6k but it sounds like there’s no multi pro tailgate or convenience II package either. While he did get a good deal it’s not like he got a world beater deal. I bet he got 8-10k off.
  7. That’s good information. I thought they were the same as the Z71. Thanks for the info.
  8. I think most here would say the Rebel suspension is better than the AT4. The AT4 uses the garbage Rancho shocks and the Rebel has Bilsteins. (Although the model below 5100) Overall I’d still buy the AT4 over the Rebel because the exterior looks and some other features though.
  9. Because the “off road” version of GMCs truck really isn’t. It just has a small lift on it. Most people buy the AT4 because they like the Denali features but don’t want all the chrome. Or people like me that would be happy with a SLT but don’t want all the chrome but want more than an Elevation.
  10. I’d never buy one of these trucks but I think it’s cool how they made them “retro” looking. I never liked the two tone look.
  11. I agree the the white should be wider and follow the fender lines better.
  12. For retro style trucks that one is awesome! Love the wheels!!!
  13. No, and i see what you’re saying but machining techniques, engines, oils and additives have all changed a ton over the past 40 years. I guess I should go back to my Nokia brick cell phone as well. I mean it gets the job done.
  14. I never understand why people think they know more than the engineers who designed the engine.
  15. This is one of the main reasons why I’m looking to get a new truck. I was wondering if the small tailgate would able to open. I was planning on sitting on it to put my shoes on. Also looking forward to the rear view mirror camera when all the bikes are loaded up. Here’s my YT Jeffsy Pro Race
  16. Totally worth it for that much money. Just the trade in/resale value would be worth that in a few years. (Not sure how long you keep your vehicles.)
  17. Not 100% sure but I believe you can add it later. The dealer has to program some stuff etc. But I’m my opinion there’s no need for it as long as you have a smart phone. Just use AA or CarPlay. Will work better
  18. It’s definitely smaller girth wise. That’s the first thing I noticed when I test drove one.
  19. Read an article saying the 2021 Yukon and I think Equinox will have Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. I’m guessing the Tahoe, Escalade etc will have it as well. Anybody have any insight if the 2021 trucks will have it or do you think they’re saving it for the refresh?
  20. Thanks for the insight. I really liked this interior when it came out but after seeing the new ford I’m really liking that.
  21. Who told you that? What insider info/access do they have?
  22. Do you have max tow package? My ‘18 has them and I have tow package but not max tow package.
  23. I believe 2014 was the first year for them but I could also very much be wrong.
  24. You saw the shutter closed. Sorry to be that guy.
