  1. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AmYQt7aSeipHga0PNMkpOVA8l3am7Q I'm in need of some help on where to start here. Also, I have no idea how to resize the video clip so I shared a one drive link to it. But here is the issue I'm having - if you watch the very short video of the data log I did you can watch the spark jump up to insane levels. No knock appears to be detected. No codes. When the spark jumps like that the entire truck shakes almost like a misfire. It doesn't do this all the time and I can't make it duplicate the issue. It honestly does it when and how often it feels like. Sometimes the truck will run beautifully and other times it runs like it's limping along because of this. The truck -' 2015 1500 5.3 Tuned by black bear (waiting to hear from them on this just trying to get ahead) Cat back 3 inch straight pipe Drop in k & n filter. Thoughts on what the hell this could be?
  2. There is apparently legislation that last I read (few months back) they were trying to move emissions to every 2 years and go to some combination sticker for Registration, Inspection, and Emissions. Doubt that will happen though. Someone somewhere will be upset on losing out of the $$.
  3. Inspection, emissions, and then your "tax stamp" to allow you to tow. Problem is, we're made to make sure our vehicles are road worthy for the roads that aren't vehicle worthy.
  4. I'd have made them get me a fresh class 2 sticker after that act... Whoever put them on just didn't care.
  5. Find a local glass guy instead of Safelite. With Lane Departure use OEM glass only. Safelite put a windshield in my wife's pilot and trashed the moldings on either side of it. They fell off shortly after they touched the vehicle. Our glass guy that does them for our dealership fixes a lot of safelite screw ups. Also, he will only use OEM, but especially when the vehicle has any type of Radar/Lane Departure features.
  6. Just another one here to say keep it with your owner's and insurance card. Even the big trucks do that. They fade too quickly for me to put it on my windshield.
  7. It's nice to have them once they're gone. Not only do they become more sensible, but they make you laugh when you catch yourself doing it!
  8. I never used to mind when I filled up, and still occasionally park the truck or bike in the driveway with the fuel light on. However, lately I have been filling up around 1/2 tank like grandma always did when I was a kid. It's makes me feel better to have half that amount coming out the bank at once. lol
  9. Completely shooting from the hip here.. but is the "marketplace" like an app store?
  10. You'd be surprised at the amount of tape that holds moldings and various other items to a vehicle now days. Not necessarily this because these other guys have said there's a clip... but still...
  11. Seems to be a common GM thing. My '04 did it and so did my '15 until black bear tuned it. I vote get it tuned.
  12. Mine hangs up every once in a while like you're describing - extra play in it but the handle won't open it. I find a good whack to the top of it gets things back in order and then it opens normally.
  13. Got rid of the ugly lower valance... 20191116_213819395_iOS.heic Edit - Apparently, I can't get iOS photos to show ?
  14. I've now gotten in the habit of always charging my phone on low power mode as it charges quicker. However, the USB ports don't charge as quickly as using a regular car charger I have noticed but I've never had the phone die quicker than it charges. I usually don't use the USB ports because they will turn off after all the computers in the truck go to sleep, and when changing a song on my playlist there is enough of a delay when the phone is plugged up it annoys me. Wish that could be changed. But that's off topic... ?
  15. Would definitely agree that a true delete kit would be better. However time and having the truck down that long to do such a thing isn’t in the cards right now.
  16. I don't think you're crazy for worrying about burning up the pump. I do the same thing. Not positive on the chevys, but it seems that with Honda the pump goes directly in the tank. So to drain the tank easily, you'd have to pull the pump out. But I don't know how the Chevy's are set up. I've never looked. I just spray it for 30 seconds every so often going down the road when I need to drain it.
  17. You aren't the first person I've heard say about issues with the RainX and wiper chatter. I never had issues with it. I do know when I worked in the A/M world we use to have people come in and complain that the wax would build up on their washer fluid level sensor and cause issues. I do know in my old corolla before I got rid of it the tank was completely orange from the stuff. So I can respect some people don't have luck with it. Another question though... working in the OE world now and my wife having a Pilot until recently I know that Honda's of most years DO NOT like A/M wipers. No matter what you seem to do they'll chatter. Worst noise ever, and I'd go down the road without the wipers as much as I could. Drove her nuts... anyways.. put OE blades on it, and problem solved. ?
  18. RainX makes a 3 in 1 or whatever fluid. Bug off, defrost, and then the rainx solution. It's orange. Get that one.
  19. Yes. 8 always comes out and goes back in
  20. Since I’ve had it at 64k 11 months time frame I’ve only done 3. Truck was actually on a fresh change when this happened. I try to stick around 5k but I also pay attention to the maintenance minder.
  21. It would be awesome if they did. Thank you. I’ll look around.
