I found out GMC Sierra still had buttons on all four while Chevrolet took out the rear buttons for the 2020 model year. My 2019 RST has it on all four. I love this feature, I use it all the time, I would hate to have to push the front button then go back and open the rear door.

I use the rear door about 3 or 4 times a day at the ranch. I also back in my spot against the wall with the right side also against the wall. I suppose I use the rear door button a lot more than the average Joe.

I only use it if I want to let all of my groceries roll everywhere in the back whilst driving on the gravel road towards the ranch. ?

My Silverado 1500 has LED lights and lighting is better than the 2016 F-150 which had regular halogen lights that did a poor job. The F-150 had the 36-gallon tank but the poor gas mileage gave it a range of around 720 miles when I went 60 to 70 mph. My Silverado achieved a little over 26 mpg and I was able to do 615 miles without refueling. There were a little over a gallon in the tank when I refueled in Hermosillo so I am content with the range and have been able to consistently beat EPA fuel economy numbers. Ram may boast of decent gas mileage but it seems it doesn't happen in real world conditions. I haven't driven it enough to confirm it. I didn't know there were federal regs on aftermarket tanks though.

My 2019 RST has it and it's standard. Like the center console, it's a feature I cannot live without. The 2020 RST doesn't though... it seems the GMC didn't do that to the Sierra, only the Chevrolet with the Silverado. And I looked at the 2500, it looks like all have buttons on the rear doors. I hope Chevrolet puts that back in their 2021 Silverado 1500.

I had that in my 2016 and it was a $395 option, but the V-8 got quite a bit worse gas mileage, usually around 20 while I have been able to squeeze 28 out of my Silverado.

Wow, that's interesting.. I just spent the past 20 minutes looking at GMC Sierras and all the SLE's had buttons on rear doors. Can confirm not all LTZ's and not even all top-end High Country trims had buttons on rear doors. That's enough to get me looking at the Sierra instead of Silverado!

I used to believe it's a Mexican vs. American thing. My friend has 2020 Cheyenne High Country intended for the Mexican market and it didn't have the buttons on rear doors. Then I looked in Google Image for high-resolution 2020's and realized a lot didn't have it. It really is nice having that button since I carry a lot of things all the time and use the back of the cab for computers, peripherals, groceries, and stuff. Just reach out and unlock the door so I don't need to drop everything, look for the key, and unlock it.

A lot of times I have grocery bags in both hands since I don't want to have to bring the shopping cart out to the parking lot and bring it all the way back and I am usually carrying four bags, two in each hand, and and my keys are usually under my phone and wallet. The convenience is way nicer when there's a button readily available. It's really nice when I don't have to take my keys out all the time so, yes, it's below me, LOL.

What if they're using a 2019 and using it as a fake mule to throw off the paparazzi? A while ago, I saw Opel doing that with the Insignia when I was in Poland (about an hour away from Berlin, Germany). The car had stuff all over it and I gave it a hard look. Even got close enough so I could peek in the "bra" of the car and it was exactly the same as the one I was renting at the same time. The headlights, the grille, then the guy said it was a fake mule to throw off the photographers. He figured I wasn't a car nut so he was a little open about it. Actually, I was, but just didn't know ****** about German Opel cars.

No, they took out the buttons for the rear doors completely, that's why I am glad I have a 2019. I am always using that button to get my bags of groceries in the back seat. My friend's 2020 High Country doesn't even have it, only in the front doors. My lowly RST has it on all four doors. Even if the 2022 had an upgraded dash, I probably wouldn't go for it. Gotta have that button on the rear doors! All day long, I'm making errands and putting stuff there.

The 2020 took away rear door buttons that unlock the door.. my 2019 has it on all four doors, the 2020 has only on front doors. Maybe for 2022, they'll just take the damn door buttons away!

My apologies, now I get it. Didn't know a thing existed!

Had a Ford F-150 and the shell made it way worse. Outcome varies wildly and I'm glad to hear it helped yours. Been thinking of it.

I was probably the first one to report it.. RST wasn't that common when I first got it.. and got picked on left and right from GM fanboys. I was so pissed over it. Fortunately, other RST Z71 and Elevation X31 owners are reporting the same thing. I was shocked it could actually keep sliding sideways with the wild shuddering and I had to slam my brakes. Bilsteins 5100s are the way to go. The front end stays planted to the road but the back end was a completely different story. The F-150 I had before that would have all four tires bobbing up and down, but at least all four were the same so it never fishtailed. The comments from those who couldn't dish it are why I have over 20 members here blocked.

So you do put the bigger bed to use on a regular basis? Looks like you were lucky because the double cabins are being discounted more heavily than the crew cabs. I bought the crew cab because it holds value much better. I usually have my friends along when I go to Vegas on long drives from Tijuana or even down to Hermosillo in Sonora.

For 2019, the A52 was available only on the WT and Trail Boss... I think it's the cheap variety with no arm rest in the middle when the seat is down?

Honestly, around here, it's the double cabs that are being discounted more heavily than the crew cabs.

I camp and I sleep in the back. My Ford short-bed was 5.5 and my head and feet would touch both sides even sleeping diagonally. The Chevrolet's 5.8 is way bigger and wider so I have plenty of space. That being said, it seems the crew cabs are more popular than double cabs, I see bigger discounts for double cabs than crew cabs. I would not consider a double cab, it just looks a little funny to me.

I am inclined to keep my 2019 since it hasn't changed much. I also like being able to open my rear door with the key in my pocket, was really disappointed to see that 2020 models removed it!

My old man had the 460 V-8 in his F-250. I recall being so excited over the massive 245 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. It was a majestic beast that could pull anything on God's green earth. The current V-6 in Silverado produces 285 hp and slightly less torque at 305 lb-ft. If people could pull anything on God's green earth with the 460, I'm sure the V-6 can handle a boat.

Yes, sticker's good. It's California-complaint. That's the BIGGEST mistake a California buyer can make. Before, it was just a $300 smog impact fee then the feds said it was unconstitutional so California said.. fine, no more $300 smog impact fees, it cannot be registered, period. Mexican-built GMC Sierras and Chevrolet Cheyennes (Silverados) are all California-compliant. Dealerships from out of the state expect you to know that, they are not liable for California laws.
