  1. Above is Backing into my spot at the deer lease. We are blessed with a steel pole barn that is 40’x160’ that is 59 years old. Below is in the driveway.
  2. My 2019 RST Z71 - best truck I have had since 1973.
  3. After driving trucks for over 45 years I can honestly say my 2019 is the best truck I have owned and the AMP steps I added are my favorite of all time.
  4. I can not wear IWB - tried some and could not get comfortable. I have 5 pancake Style holsters from Simply Rugged and a heavy duty belt. I highly recommend them. The website is easy and you can call Rob with questions. If you get the right Belt and Holster you will love it. I carry cross draw on my left side so it does not hit my seat belt or my rifle when over my shoulder. Feels real natural to me. Good luck.
  5. When I am on the way to my deer lease down south I wear OWB the entire weekend. When driving around town if not carrying I keep mine exactly where you do. I think it is very convenient!
  6. I bought all 4 shocks for $435 and my mechanic charged $200. I got tired of waiting on the 4600 as I never wanted the 5100. Bilstein told me the 4600 is the best shock for stock height and for towing. I set the Eibach’s on stock height and it worked out great. Same height as stock and I only have 1/4” rake on my truck. The Eibach’s killed the chevy hop in the rear end and the truck drives much more planted.
  7. I bought Eibach’s and I am very pleased.
  8. Yes - I am going to run stock springs and see how it goes.
  9. I got tired of waiting and ordered 4 Eibach’s for $389 no tax and free shipping. Should arrive early next week.
  10. Great! You will love it. I used mine everyday it seems like. My wife is 5’2” and she loves it also.
  11. Yes - real GM parts. Sorry but I don’t think I can find me receipt. You can go to the GMC Dealer and tell them what you want. Good luck!
  12. Take it back and demand a refund!
  13. I have the RST z71 5.3 with 5.3 and do not have a problem. I have 4,000 miles on my truck and drove 8 hours 2 days in a row. I do take my wallet out of my pocket as my sciatic nerve in my butt cheek hurts from time to time for years. I find the lumbar is great. I agree with FlatDale above. Go see a chiro or get a good deep tissue massage.
  14. Look good! My RST came with liners but will keep these in mind if the GM’s don’t last. I had my 2011 wheel wells sprayed with my bed and it lasted great also.
  15. I ordered the handle, bracket and bolts from the GMC Dealer and installed it in 5 minutes. I don’t have the part # but I am sure they can hook you up.
  16. Thought I would share a picture of the GMC Tailgate Handle I added to my RST.
  17. Thought I would share a picture of the GMC Tailgate Handle on my RST. I ordered it from the GMC Dealer and installed it in 5 minutes. It works great and very useful to this old man.
  18. They were afraid they would rub and would not offer their 30 return policy. I like the bigger tire but at 67 years old every 1” gets tougher!
  19. I put KO2’s 275r60 20’s on mine the first day. I know that is the stock size but look more aggressive and in my opinion the 33” tire looks good. I looked at the 275r65 which is 1” taller and .54 more sidewall but Discount Tire steered me away from them. Mine have a D rating which is plenty for a 1/2 ton truck.
  20. Mine is off 1/4” in the drivers side and flush on the other. I checked the tire pressure and parked it in my level garage. Took a 4’ level to use as a straight edge and checked both sides. The cab on the drivers side sits 1/4” outside the bed. The passenger side is flush. I had a long talk with a GM Body shop manager about fit and finish in cars versus trucks. He also recommended I walk the lot and look at alignment in beds, doors, hoods, etc. I believe I will leave it alone. With a square bed and square cab there has to be a reaction to every adjusted made. I am not sure that I want a bunch of shop hands leaning and pushing on my truck to gain an 1/8” in alignment. After looking at about 10 trucks today I came to the conclusion that the bed must be slightly narrower than the cab - maybe 1/4” to 3/8”. As long as my dogs, chickens and deer don’t know it I think I can worry about something else. Call me crazy or lazy but I don’t think I want to deal with sales, service or body shop and be without my truck over such a minor issue.
  21. My strange noise turned out to be my power steps rubbing on frame bracket.
  22. Yes - I have a 2019 RST z71 with 700 miles. I love the truck. Engine is strong, transmission smooth and I like the Bose. Took it to the dealer today to report a noise under the bed whenever the truck is on an uneven surface or say a speed bump. The shop foreman heard it and they decided to keep it and gave me a loaner. He said he was going to check hangers and leaf springs. I have since googled leaf spring noise and read several articles. I will report back but thought I would share. Like you, I would like to know if others have heard this noise. My truck did not do it when new. Good luck!
  23. Congratulations and welcome! I hope you enjoy the new ride! It is a beauty ?
  24. Thanks! Go check it out - I think you will like it. For the Texas Heat it is better than black.
