  1. Imo, this gasser is absolutely outstanding! Never seen before power, with an upgraded already super reliable 6 speed tranny......yeah, these new gassers are awesome.
  2. FYI, Just in case anyone is looking, there's a nice Custom just like mine at the same dealership where I got mine. She's a Custom gasser but, also has the Safety Confidence Package- that gives you audio controls and the ability to access the dic on the steering wheel, also has skid plates and of course gooseneck Package. Color is Silver Ice Metallic - Jim Cook Chevy, Buick, GMC - Marion, NC
  3. Ya know, I called my dealership yesterday. Small town dealership too. And, I explained what I wanted to do, and they said no problem. I was very happy to hear that. They're even gonna let me use a NAPA Gold Filter too. I asked to make sure, if this would in any way void my warranty and they said no. They said the oil is Dexos Gen 2 approved and the main thing is being able to prove that the oil was in fact changed in case something happens. I really like this little dealership.
  4. The 6.6 is very powerful imo. Just from driving and the reports I've heard. If it wasn't enough, I'd go the Duramax route.
  5. For me, it was between the diesel and gas. I just do not like Ford or Dodge. I went with the gas. Diesel for me, was just too expensive and overkill. However, I would LOVE to own one someday lol
  6. Just one other observation/question. We all know that those massive horsepower & torque numbers are with regular gas, which is phenomenal. But, I wander if there would be any noticeable difference if using say, non-ethanol 93 octane premium gas?
  7. Thanx man. I appreciate that. Yeah, I think it's gonna be a huge difference in towing.
  8. The sound would be awesome.....
  9. The main reasons I want to do it is to let it breathe easier and better mpg But, this evidently won't happen?
  10. Makes sense. I had a 2007 Classic with duals and they did rust.
  11. Please forgive my ignorance in advance guys... I'm just wandering which would be better or if there are any advantages at all between the two. I'm thinking about going with Flowmaster Thundercat dual exhaust, or I could go with the Borla single. What say y'all? 2021 Silverado 2500 HD
  12. Runnin boards will be here tomorrow. I then want to put some Flowmaster dual exhaust on her. Has anyone else put a Flowmaster dual exhaust on theirs yet?
  13. Thank you sir.
  14. I'm gonna go with Shell Rotella Gas Truck and Napa Gold Filter. Question though, and forgive my ignorance.....I wander if my dealership would use customer supplied oil like Shell Rotella Gas Truck? It is Dexos Gen 2 Approved.
  15. Man, are you right. I absolutely LOVE it! Took her on a 4 hour round trip cruise today. And, honest to goodness, she drove as smooth as my 2019 ever did! No kiddin, I asked the wife and she thought so too. But, that's on new interstate highway. On our country highways, ya feel the bumps more but, its not real bad. At any rate, I can honestly say I do not miss my 1500. And, I LOVED my 2019 Z71 when I had it. I think its just a real testimony to just how darn good the new generations of Silverado really are! And, the power is definitely there. Your exactly right, takes a little bit to get her going and to stop. But, pulling Black Mountain was just awesome. She really has the steady horsepower and torque. She steadily and easily held 65mph up the mountain..( what I mean to say is I barely had to get into her, much stronger than my 5.3 v8, it was fun lol )...just a super truck guys. I am really glad we bought her.
  16. So even though the max payload says 2850 it's actually 3600 or more? Because conventional towing say 14,500 and gooseneck 16,600
  17. Thank you sir. I sure will. First impressions are its just so dam cool! Big, strong, looks meaner than the 1500... But, she does not ride as well, does not have a tight turn radius like the 1500, isn't as peppy as the 1500, but the power is there.....its just gonna take a few miles to really wake her up and I also expect the ride quality and mpg to get better. Kinda went thru the same thing with my 2019 1500 when she was new. She had 10 miles when I bought her and this one had 18. Time will tell. But, I do expect good things
  18. So I also want the rear liners. Called my dealer and they tell me that yes, you can buy the liners but gm no longer installs them as at either the dealership or the factory. So, to my understanding and my reps understanding, yes I can buy them but, i have to install them myself Is it a real pain in the arse to install them?
  19. Thanx guys! I went ahead and got the gasser. NorthSky Blue, with some really nice features for a Custom. Has the Safety Confidence Package that features the audio controls on the steering wheel along with forward collision alter, xm radio, on star, skid plates, I pretty much have everything my 1500 LT had except power and heated seats and dual climate zone. Well, a few other things too, like downhill assist and heated steering wheel, but, I really don't miss it. Still have remote start and gained Sirius XM. So far, I love it! She is a real brute lol.....
  20. Ya know, on my options page 10,000 GVWR is listed. I'll bet that's it. And what you say makes sense because she asked if I wanted ( N.C. weighted ) a plate for 7,000 pounds or 12,000 pounds. I went with the 12,000 pound weighted plate.
  21. Just curious as to what payload yall have? I figured mine would be 3,760 but the sticker says 2850 I think? Conventional Trailering 14,500 Gooseneck Trailering 16,500 Shouldn't the payload be around 3600 or more?
  22. Can't say about the Duramax, but I really like my Gasser!
  23. Jayco Jay Feather ( 6500 empty ) Pulling with a new 21 2500
  24. Had to stay with NorthSky Blue!! Just brought her home last night 2021 Custom she's a gasser!!
