  1. I had a Carven muffler on my 2016 6.2l 1/2 ton and loved it. My brother also has 2 of them on his Challenger and they sound great.
  2. It's been 80,000 km since I used the BFH. Still tight and right with no sound and no issues.
  3. I'd rather Noth mention names on a public forum for obvious reasons. But if your from Alberta there are several choices. Best ones being in Red Deer.
  4. From what I understand it was an issue with certain tuners base files. New base files have been sent out to the tuners having issues. I have had no problems with mine. Everything has been running top notch. Do it and don't look back.
  5. Kick in your high idle Or just put it in neutral with the park brake on. It will run until your tank is empty. My truck is my office for 12-14 hour days and both trucks work great.
  6. I believe you can leave the EGR in place but the exhaust has to be removed. You can get a 4" delete pipe that simply replaces a 4' section of the exhaust instead of the whole thing.
  7. I'm not sure on the progressive steering, my truck is a fully loaded 2020 AT4 HD so if it's an option I would assume I have it? That being said, I believe it would be worth getting even at stock height for sure. Its an affordable upgrade and makes a difference.
  8. Just installed this kit today. I can't say I notice any more "firmness" in the steering wheel, however it is VERY noticeable how much less vibration and bump steer is reduced. I would recommend for sure, especially if you drive gravel roads and poorly maintained hiways like I do.
  9. Put some 20x9 +12 XF Offroad 218's on today. Fits perfect.
  10. It's close, hard to get a proper pic of it. It is still tucked in maybe 1/2 to 5/8"
  11. Not sure if your asking me or not but here is mine with stock wheels and 295's
  12. Just installed the RC 3+1 kit set at 2.5" in front. Replaced the rear block with a 2" block and running 295/65R20. Truck sits 42.5" floor to fender in the front and 44" floor to fender in the back. Rides better than stock IMO. No regrets and would recommend to anyone. Just have to make up my mind on wheels now...that's where I'm struggling.
  13. Installed 3" Rough Country kit w/ UCA and 2" Block in the rear to maintain some rake. Also installed some 295/65R20 Toyo Open Country AT3's.
  14. That's a cool idea. May I ask what kind of piping you used and how to install it?
  15. I'd love to hear how it works out for you. Pictures would be great if you could as well... you know, in case I have to copy you lol
  16. Glad is stumbled onto this thread, I have been running this idea through my head as well. Quick question though. How is the ride when empty and what PSI do you run them empty? The reason I ask is because prior to owning my 2020 3500 I had a 2016 1500 with air bags and even empty the ride was quite rough... I'd even venture to say it was stiffer than my 3500 is stock.
  17. From what I understand, the Heavy Tow has less HP gain because the more you increase the HP, the higher and faster your EGT's tend to rise under heavy load. Because of this they keep the Heavy Town tune slightly better than stock for max GVW towing. The Light Town tune is for lighter loads to your discretion. As long as you have a monitor you can decide which is best suited for your needs. So I have been through a few different exhaust setups now. 1. Flo Pro 5" with straight through "glass packed" muffler. This had good throaty sound under acceleration and is mild through town, however had it had the most hi way drone around 110km to 120km of the three setups. but is definitely in the middle for volume of sound in all other applications. 2. Flo Pro 5" straight pipe. Sounds great and is is really loud under acceleration and still managed to stay quiet while cruising through town. Hi way drone actually seemed to be slightly quieter around 110km to 120km than the glass packed muffler setup which is interesting. I do feel that if you were towing with the straight pipe that the drone would probably be quite loud as it does ramp up as you go up hills and the boost starts to increase slightly, then goes away at the top of the hill. 3. Flo Pro 5" with the 5" Twister. Flo Pro recommends the Twister be installed as close to the downpipe as possible so there was a bit of things I had to do in order to do so. The 5" exhausts for these L5P's is actually a 4" intermediate pipe from the downpipe to just in front of the torsion key crossmember, there is also quite a few bends in there. I ended up placing the muffler delete pipe from Flo Pro in place of the muffler, then placing the Twister immediately before it which gets it directly under the back passer seat foot well. As far as sound goes, it quiets it down ALOT. The drone at 110km to 120km is still there but you have to mute the music to hear it, there is no issue speaking at a normal tone in the cab to passengers. Driving around town I would compare its volume to driving a stock mustang 5.0... its there but not crazy, almost too quiet if you like some noise. Under acceleration its similar to the muffler setup but I would still stay its quieter, by far the most tame set up. I personally really liked both the muffler and the straight pipe setup, but my wife appreciates the Twister so I guess the decision has been made for me haha. Keep in mind I have a 2020 with a 10 speed.. the drone may differ with the 6 speeds. I have been in contact with my tuner in regards to this. They have been dealing with HP Tuners quite closely and have even been part of the BETA team for the original tunes and SOTF tuning. It sounds like it is an operating system problem with the ECM's themselves and there hasn't been any direct relation to it being SOTF related. That being said, HP Tuners is making some slight revisions in both the Single tunes and SOTF tunes and will be releasing updates soon for all who are interested, you would just have to contact your tuner. The place I got mine done at has only had 1 customer come back with a failed ECM and it was with a Single tune. They are going to be sending me updated tunes in the coming weeks once HP Tuners releases them. I will keep you posted. Overall, I am not to concerned. It's like anything else, some guys have injector issues, electronics issues, etc... and some don't. Guess we will have to wait and see who is lucky and who is not lol.
  18. Well got it done and it runs and shifts as good as stock, only now it has grunt and power. I opted for the 5" with muffler and it definately times the sound down under normal driving and my wife describes the truck sounds like a monster under some desent acceleration lol. I got some information on the SOTF tuning and it is in fact 5 separate tunes that you switch between. Not just 5 fuel scaling settings. Well there is technically 6 tunes because 0 counts as stock. The tunes I got are done in house as it is a diesel race shop and they have access to a dyno. 0 - Optimized Stock 1 - 50 WHP Heavy Tow 2 - 85 WHP Light Tow 3 - 125 WHP Street 4 - 150 WHP Race 5 - 175 WHP Max Effort I have really only played with Tune 1 and 2 as there I no Trans tuning for the 10 speed yet. The difference between the two is quite significant so I can't imagine the other 3... During the tank of fuel over 1149km I averaged 10.9 L/100km and that was about a 50/50 mix of hiway and city driving so not bad. One thing worth noting for others who are curious is that even with a muffler setup, the drone at 110km-120km is still there. You don't have to raise your voice to talk to passengers but you definitely hear it if the music volume is low. I'll leave it be for now but I might throw in a Flo Pro Twister Resonator in prior to the muffler to see if that helps any. I absolutely love the sound it makes under load, I am just not sure if my wife will put up with the minor drone on long road trips with our son but we will see. Overall I am supper happy and am excited to put some miles on it now more than ever. If anybody has any questions feel free to send them my way and I will do my best to answer them.
  19. In2racn, thank you for chiming in. I feel like we have similar driving habits. I never really brat on my truck but I do like a bit of get uo and go. It sounds like you are happy with your decision overall so thats good to hear. I finally get to have mine done this Thursday... I have had to push my appointment back 4 times because of work and it's driving me insane lol. Do you have a single tune or did you go with the shift on the fly tunes that are out now? In regards to the injectors, I try not to worry about that too much... the amount of trucks on the road vs the amount of L5P with injector issues is nothing to worry about. I mean it can happen, but so can anything else right? I am looking forward to joining the club. I will let you know my thoughts once I get some km on it. On a side note, my Wehrli came in just in time!
  20. Here is the install instructions for the recon third brake light. Part number 264101 https://gorecon.com/install-guides/#1513481634621-daca2eef-aa5d Hope this helps
  21. They look like www.boostauto.com smoked marker lights. I have the same ones and love them.
  22. Solved my own problem, just gave the latch on my door sill a few good blows with a big hammer inwards and the door closes tight enough now that it has stopped. Can't even tell looking at it.
  23. Was this issue every resolved? My 2020 AT4 3500 had been doing it since the day I picked it up. Haven't had a chance to bring it in yet but I would like to show up with information when I do as they typically have no clue...
