  1. until the UV rays already burned the name into the paint..
  2. how about a set of ASV 's https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Ventshade-194528-Window-Deflector/dp/B00F0QAOOG/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=avs%2Brain%2Bguards&pd_rd_r=461267c5-0db5-4dfd-9344-9e455f8e09a5&pd_rd_w=GBYpJ&pd_rd_wg=AsPd1&pf_rd_p=ce8592e7-3f5d-4c47-8fd0-5053ffa3307b&pf_rd_r=5RTK929DBW8XW07GR7MB&pid=TJKiErW&qid=1635100607&sprefix=avs%2B%2Caps%2C185&sr=1-1&vehicle=2016-47-491-430-128-77-6--19741--8-1--132-&vehicleName=2016%2BChevrolet%2BSilverado%2B1500&th=1
  3. I want to see someone on here do the Alpine radio dash refresh for the K2, it comes in 6,7, and 8" display and its like an 8" GM infotainment radio but better..gives OBD information , no glitchy erradic screen, and the touch screen works, better FM and HD radio reception. it also interfaces with GM's CAN-bus controls and onstar crap if needed https://www.alpine-usa.com/company/press/2015/alpine-electronics-expands-8-inch-restyle-dash-program-to-include-ram-truck-and-cadillac-escalade-platforms X008U head unit https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500X308U/Alpine-X308U.html Edited 2 hours ago by pokismoki

  5. it might need a new screen and a new GPS antenna, before fixing it , check out the Alpine radio upgrade for K2 trucks, it might be a better option
  6. haha, just buy an LT4/LT6 car, much lighter and faster.. stop effin around with overweight pickups .. just throwing money away
  7. I tried pointing it at my d**k and that also seemed to improve the range, go figure....
  8. yes, but you'll need atleast 18" rims, 17" wheels are too small I think , to fit after that, you could delete the vac pump, and install 2500 hydraulic booster system
  9. this is an issue on silverados too, you need a new screen
  10. I'm looking for a little smaller truck , currently in a SIlverado extra cab. i'm 6"1". any tall guys comfortable in these trucks? how's the headroom?
  11. well if you get a 2500 truck you'll be happy getting 13mpg and 15 highway lol you dont buy a truck thinking about MPG's,, you might want to get a Toyota Camry or a Toyota FJ for style points
  12. i got a Sprintbooster throttle enhancer, I'd like to get $100 for it... I recommend the fat front swaybar, makes the truck handle better, t1 front brake upgrade kit, 6.2L radiator and a 175 stat Tru-trac diff 2500 6 bolt truck torque converter, and get the trans tuned
  13. thumbs up for the larger fuel tank on the 2500
  14. 1500's have weak trannies, AFM and Direct injection, 2500's better brakes, better brake bias, no AFM, no Direct injection, a tad rougher ride, the transmissions are better too, better torque curve on the 6.0 than the high revving 5.3., tuning them is cheaper also
  15. I would start with tranny tuning, get the slip out of the driveline 1st, then add power later
  16. whats the flow rate vs LT1 or LT4 injectors?
  17. 10 speed is new and might have bugs and glitches, it has more rotational mass than a 6l90, so it will rob you of HP and consume more fuel, not to mention rebuild cost will be astronomical compared to the old 6 speeds
  18. the 6L90 is stout , the only one with issues are the 1500 trucks with the 6L80. if you got a 2500 truck, they have all the upgrades and updates installed so no worries
  19. is this a 6l80 or the 8L90
  20. try reprogramming the transmission and do a re-learn at the dealer
  21. well i keep the front at 40 to start with, so driving makes it pump up to about 45psi, i leave the rears at 33-35, they aren't really doing the hard work like the front tires
  22. yeah aftermarket contrller is easily removed, just use heavy duty velcro and stick it to the carpet floor or put it inside the ashtray,
  23. more so on the front tires, under inflated does cause a wear on the outside edge, pumped up more keeps tire more square and off the sidewall in corners
  24. as much as I hate the rough ride at 40 psi, the truck rolls better and reduces wear on the front tires at this pressure
