  1. Nope- It was pretty easy to run wiring for my RC light bar in the grill though
  2. I'd pass. Just use CarPlay/Android Auto and project Google Maps. For free
  3. I recall its due to the chip shortage. And it's one of those where it's welcomed to be not equipped with
  4. That's strange. I'll have to take a look at that today. I usually cruise control at 75 or 80mph anyway.
  5. Ironically, I parked in a restaurant parking lot the other day. Parked next to a regular Silver ado (2019+) and due to my upgraded shocks, and leveled out look It was a noticeable difference next to each other. Being a tall person, I can see over the hood even before the mod.
  6. What did you notice that was different from changing out the fluid?
  7. I drive a ton of miles in this truck (25k per year nowadays), I usually let the truck idle for about a minute before moving. I've done that with pretty much every car/truck I've ever owned. I do sometimes feel like the transmission is confused in first gear, when idle. I do feel a slight rumble in the cab, I think that is due to the truck trying to do cyl deactivation. I've never seen a CEL on, so there is no point in paying for the Dealership to look at it. (Ironically, turning it off and on again disappears that) I've thought about doing a automatic transmission fluid flush when I see about 50k miles. Not sure the dealership costs, but if it's within reason I'll do it due to driving it so often. I keep referring to the manual, but it doesn't look like much needs to be done until the spark-plugs.
  8. Forgot to post a day time picture. Using bilstein 5100s the front is pretty much level with the back. ( I sold the cap)
  9. Yes I've driven the latest raptor, just wanted to test drive. It's too expensive for my hard earned dollar, but that's the only Ford I'd own lets be honest . Chances are likely that they will see markups. Locally, I haven't seen any brand new trucks go over MSRP.
  10. Sure sometimes it hard shifts from 1 to 2 but it doesn't bother me. Once it's warmed up it's solid. I've actually noticed it stop "hard" shifting when I got bigger heavier tires. Lol
  11. I almost pulled the trigger on a $65,000 Sierra Elevation, but the price difference monthly was a lot more than my current. So I decided to take that difference, and build out my current 20'. I wish one day these prices would be a little more affordable. I'm seeing rates starting to fly on Loans (5-6%)
  12. 20' 2.7T with the 8 speed here. No problems. I have a lift and slightly big tires handles it really well.
  13. Wow looks great! I'd definitely side this over a Raptor.
  14. Falken Wildpeaks AT3/W; Old tires were Good Year Wrangler SR-As, and these are only slightly more loud. It's noticeable, but not unbearable. I'm looking forward to testing them in the snow, in a few months.
  15. Just wanted to thank everyone! I went with the bilsteins and new tires. And it rides great and looks amazing. The extra lift in the front makes a huge difference. Thank god this actually feels like a truck now!
  16. I got mine installed the other day. Bilstein 5100s and new rubber.
  17. Appreciate gents. That's what I thought as well, didn't make sense for me. @Dirk13 But I called up the shop, and stated that I wanted to remove the leveling kit, and just do the bilsteins, adjust the front to be as close to as level as possible with the rear. The installation date is tomorrow. @pepe48134 your picture in another post inspired me to add them as well. I'm wrapping them are 285/55R/20 Falken WildPeaks AT3/W. It should look pretty spot on. I've already taken before photos as it sits.
  18. Do I need a leveling kit? Does that even help it? or just tell the shop to do the 5100s and lift them from the front
  19. Personally, it's the one feature I forget to use. I've used it once since my ownership and that was only because the truck was sitting in 100F outside temp all day. Some call it the fart mode, if anything.
  20. Another question- what did you have them raise the front bilsteins to?
  21. Hi there. I've been reading upon forums and getting advice from people who have Sierras (2018). I approved a quote that the shop locally is going to do. I have requested a 2" leveling kit to be added, and some people have recommend just adding bilstein 5100s and using them to raise the front of the truck to get close to level. Should I tell the shop to not do the leveling kit, and just add the bilsteins with the height adjusted to get close to level to the rear? Or should I have them both added? (Will that benefit?) I am adding 285/55R/20 Falken Wildpeaks (AT3W) over the factory elevation rims and I'm excited for those. Just a little confused with my understanding about whats above. Again, I've done mostly just research on this, I'm not a Truck/Car Mechanic, I prefer to hide by my desk in IT
  22. I wonder if this is related to the DFM... Even if it is, kind of sucks. But other than that I can't really complain about it. I'd be more curious as time goes by how it handles. I rack up 25k miles a year, so I'll hit 100k sooner than most will in 6 years of ownership.
  23. I'm a huge fan of the elevation black rims 20", they look great. I recently found a video of them with A/T tires and lifted. I think it looks great. Maybe at some point I'll consider purchasing different rims, but too expensive for what I want to do.
  24. When purchasing the truck in late December 2021 with 18k miles, I don't recall this occurring. Since then, June 29th, I've put on 16,000 miles. I do my oil changes every 2 months or 5,000 miles per the recommended in the service manual, and they are always done at GMC Dealerships due to the cost, and convinence. This morning (6/29) I've turned on the truck, and I usually let the truck idle for a few minutes before driving. I noticed that in the drivers seat, some sort of vibrations coming from the engine bay. I noticed additionally that the RPMs are a little less than the number 1,000RPM. My feet are not on the brakes or the gas pedal. I immediately turn off Auto Start Stop each time I get into the truck, I find it annoying. When driving no other vibrations occur, truck drives like a dream. In April, I noticed the vibrations again but this time it was not upon start up, it occured when I got to my destination and say idle in Park. I was curious, so I turned off the truck and turned it back on, and no vibrations then. I've been reading on fourms that other users experienced, spark plugs needed to be changed, or injectors Etc. I should note, I only use the recommend gas 87. I've ran 91 before, but due to gas prices increasing, I don't see the benefit. Being that my truck is just short of the factory warranty (36,000), I've thought about bringing it in to get looked at by a Service Tech at a local GMC dealership. I've always been taught to drive a car/truck until you see a CEL then bring it in, so they can actually diag. TLDR: Truck vibrates at random times, only at idle. Potentially DFM?
