Jokes on you! I just posted about my window leak today! Where’s that damned sad face.

I may go this route after the dealer (hopefully) replaces my rear window. Its got a mean crack in the frame. Would you guys even attempt this repair given the crack?

Whelp, add me to the list. First rain in a long time over here in the Seattle area and what do you know, the rear slider has a small leak onto the lip behind the seat. Appears to be a small leak, didn’t soak the cushion, but I can feel that it seems to be seeping from the slider track on the passenger side. Truck is a 2020 with 32k. Dealer set me up for next Friday and promised to get it taken care of. Wanted to update after some further investigation: while there is a streak down the passenger side of the rear window, suggesting it is coming from the top, there is also a crack right above the slider portion. It looks like it goes all the way through. Interestingly, there is no water coming from that spot. I hope the cracked frame is enough for the dealer to replace the window rather than attempt to use sealant. Update to the update: Dealer now taking truck in Wednesday. Because of the crack in the frame, they will not be attempting the standard repair, rather going straight for a replacement. I sure hope there is a newer model window that solves this problem! Ok, repair update: Truck is back, was less than a 1 day turn around. They even had a loaner Sierra for me! The advisor said they keep a couple window units around for this repair and have been doing them every so often. Glass install looks good. Hope it solves my problem!

My 2020 is at 1200 hours with 32k on the ODO. I've never paid much attention to the hours, so I am not sure where that metric puts me in the grand scheme of service life.

Ha! I share the sentiment about the available wheels out there. The market is saturated with crappy options. I have no problem waiting for a set of something that is worth waiting for.

Right, I was wondering if they stocked anything (in our pattern and figment) alongside their custom orders. When I had a golf R years back, I was able to find a set of RZ05 already built in their warehouse.

Did you have to special order the BC Forged? Been wanting a set in 20" for my AT4.

Call your dealer and ask who they use for cluster swaps on their used vehicles acquired from Canada. My AT4 used to think it was a Denali. The company they used was local to me and it took them 5 minutes to program.

SOLVED!!! The rattle, which they could not replicate while on the rack and I could not locate after many hours under the truck......... Was a blown front shock. That was my best guess (well, not at first!) and they remarked that they weren't sure it would fix the problem. The shock was clean and you couldn't tell it was blown until it was taken off the truck. I am relieved to have the noise saga behind me!

Elka makes a really nice product. When I had my Tacoma I was going between them and ADS for built shocks. I ended up with ADS because they are similar in design with King and rebuild parts were more readily available.

Update: Truck has been at the dealer for a week now. They had a field engineer meeting and, to the best of my knowledge, they were unable to figure the noise out. They did agree that it was likely something in the front passenger suspension. They are replacing the front right strut in hopes that it will either fix the problem or lead to a discovery as the repair is completed. I should have the truck back today, I will report back.

Are you talking about the side step? If so, those are OEM.

I'm getting this. I recently had a mishap with my tailgate and am not cool with having the dent guy out again for something that is easily avoided!

Can I piggyback on your thread with a question? I have an ARB dual compressor that I would like to use for my airbag setup. Would it be easier/more cost effective to just buy the purpose built system rather than try to adapt my current compressor? Wiring is my thing, solenoids and all that is not.

What's up guys and gals. Quick question after way over-analyzing my choice for tonneau drain location. I went for the top two rubber grommets in the front corners of the bed. I terminated the drains about 4 inches into bedside by pushing them through the hole with the grommet removed. My question is: are the internals of the bedside sufficiently protected from regular water exposure? The water will drain to the outside, but not before traveling down the bedside. Reference pic I found on Google attached.

My truck doesn't like to connect to my phone via bluetooth after IOS16. FYI 2020 Sierra with wired car play (which is now buggy, too).

Update: I believe I have isolated the sound to the front passenger side. I think it must be a moving suspension part by the way I can recreate the sound. Interestingly, I cannot recreate the noise with the truck static while bouncing the suspension up and down. Its the sharp, juttering motion of washboard/gravel road that best makes it happen. Im going with maybe a front shock or top hat. Going back to the dealer next week.

Under hood cleared, though I did find a un secured heater core hose that typically is attached to the top of the passengers side shock tower. Wonder what they replaced?

Small update. Magnetic mounted my phone to the drivers and passenger lower control arms facing the front diff. When the noise occurs in the cabin there doesn’t appear to be any play or rattling of the cv shafts. Also, while I can hear the sound inside, I cannot on the video recording. Hrmmm. Also mounted the camera on the frame behind the drivers door and faced it toward the driveline without any clues as well. I’m going to try under the hood next.

Agreed on the dealer. They confirmed that they hear the noise, tried a couple of easy fixes that didn't work, then blamed the front passenger shock. To me, it is clear the shock is not the problem based on the characteristics of the sound and I don't want to start replacing things on a whim. I will try the phone thing and see if I can catch it.

Yes I have. The drivers side definitely has more play. My wife did remark that when I rattled the axle on that side that it was "the closest to the noise of all of the things I've done to try and replicate." The only thing is that the sound is the same while in 4x4, but maybe that doesn't matter? To answer your other question the suspension is stock.

1. The sound is constant no matter where the suspension is at in its range of travel. Not speed dependent either which leads me to believe it may be a mount (engine or trans?) even though I couldn't replicate by prying on those components. 2. I spent two hours under the truck with a rubber mallet and a prybar looking for the culprit. Found some other things but nothing regarding the noise in question. Dealer also had a look and thought it was a wiring harness, it wasn't. It sounds like its something heavy. 3. Put a torque wrench on all suspension components I could get to, also checked body mounts. 4. All of the mounts and bushings I could see seem to be in place and not bulging. 5. This seems like a metal clunk. 6. Underhood all clear, the noise is lower, under console and toward the front of the truck. 7. I have been fooled in the past, but it seems like drivers side. Maybe more central. This is why I thought it may be the drivers stub axle, but interestingly it does not go away when the truck is in 4x4. Let me know what you guys/gals think!

Hey folks! Been lurking in here a while but have only now decided to make an account to hopefully get help with my AT4. I have a constant rattle, clunk noise from the front end. It is always present at any speed and it doesn’t change the sound. Sounds like something heavy. Have ruled out sway bar, shocks seem fine when truck is shook. Truck is a 2020 3.0 with 30k miles now. Dealer already looked for a loose harness etc that they typically try to find. attached is a video where can you hear the sound, any thoughts? Maybe the dreaded stub axle rattle (though it is the same in 4x)? Fixed link:
