  1. Why is the gear ratio missing from the window sticker? The 4.3 should be the V6 for this truck.
  2. I don't know if it will help you as I order my truck with the SEY 22" wheels, When I picked up the truck the tires were inflated to 37 psig cold and only heat up to 39 psig after driving. Back here in Ohio I'm getting 20 mpg city with 93oct with my 6.2 engine and 3.42 gears.
  3. 2014 CCSB 6.2 LTZ with 3.42, most of the time was spent at 70-75mph on cruise control.
  4. I haven't posted in awhile because we are moving. Here is a update on the mileage while towing a 7500lb loaded trailer 2400 miles. During this trip we went up hills and down hills, we even did some flat land driving. The towing was done in the tow-haul mode on the transmission. We got a low gas mileage of 9.5mpg, a high of 19.5mpg and a complete trip mileage of 13.5 mpg. A friend of mine with a Ford F-350 diesel told me that I get better mileage then he does with a lighter trailer.
  5. Well I think that post #48 has it right. Mine is a 6.2 CCSB LTZ 2wd Z60 high performance suspension with the steel control arms.
  6. Well, just my thought on this console shifter thing being that I own 2 GM trucks. 1 with a console shifter and 1 without. In a performance type truck, the console shifter has it place and that is why GMC put one in the GMC Syclone. In the Syclone the shifter just looks right. In the 2014 not so much even if your truck has the bucket seats with console as mine has. The area that the console covers is on the large size side and to add a shifter there and make it look right would be a lot of work. Most likely it would have to be one of those Ed Big Daddy Roth Shifters just to look right in these trucks. A friend of our has a Ford truck with the console shifter and that is the 1 thing that she hates about it. I really like the carpet looking wheel wells and so far it has been really easy to clean them with just the hose.
  7. Ok, we returned from the trip that we went on. The raw data after filling up for the above pictures 380 miles total before starting trip. The truck took 19.5 gallons and mpg worked out to 19.48 mpg on the 1st tank. Here are some pictures of the trip that had about 250 miles of mountain driving and flat land driving the rest of the way for a total of 1154 miles. So it works out this way. 1154 - 380 = 774 miles for the trip. On the trip we burned 37.5 gallons of gas for a gas mileage of 20.64 overall. The best of it. The part that has the most wow took place on the flat land. It was a reduce speed zone that went forever. The posted limit was 55mph and I set the cruise at 57mph. The CHP had people pull over on both sides of the freeway. In case you can't read it because the road was rough. The current mpg on the left said 28mpg. The best at 50 miles was 25.7 mpg and the avg. was 25.7 mpg For the best 25 mile club went to this picture. Cruise set at 70mph. That was on flat land driving near Delano, CA on Interstate 99 going to Bakerfield, CA.
  8. It was a round trip drive on the same route. I had to go up the same hills that I went down. Most of the driving was rolling hills driving about 65 to 68 mph on cruise control.
  9. Here is a update on the truck with 219 miles on her. Just completed 100 mile drive round trip with some hills, etc. Here is the 25 mile mpg. 6.2 and 3.42 gears For the 50 mile mpg. I will be taking a trip before too long here and will post the mileage from it.
  10. I want to thank you for posting the real data too, but I forgot to put it in the post that I made.
  11. Hey TDT, I gave up on that show along time ago. However after thinking about the KN filter test again, I came to the understanding that the KN filter must be the best thing going for our trucks. Just think about it for a minute while looking over the #'s Run Title: Stock 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.3L Run Notes: Baseline stock run. 2362 miles. 3rd gear run. Run Date: 3/25/2014 10:45:45 AM Stock.001: 73.61 °F 29.06 in-Hg Humidity: 29 % SAE: 1.01 Run Title: K&N 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe 5.3L Run Notes: K&N intake kit #63-3082 installed. 6732 miles. 3rd gear run. Run Date: 3/25/2014 12:56:59 PM K&N.002: 74.36 °F 29.01 in-Hg Humidity: 28 % SAE: 1.02 They manage to get a 15.39 HP and 21.24 LBFT increase by changing the filter. But in the real world they were very conservative with the outcome. They manage to take a brick and by changing just the air filter the got this brick with 4 wheels (most likely had non speed rated tires on it) to travel 2,185 miles one way and back again in 2.17 hrs so they could put it back on the same dyno to show the inprovements. To top it off, they did it with a 5.3L engine. One time for sure is I glad it was a Chevrolet Tahoe because the Ford Expedition may not have survive at those speeds. Maybe we got this CAI thing all wrong if just a filter can do this. I wonder what they could do with a 6.2L engine?
  12. I really like this picture. Looks like the shorter version of the short bed .
  13. If you would, post up how well it works for you.
  14. Something is not right with that test. How did that Tahoe gain 4,370 miles in less than 2.16 hrs?
  15. The reply that I got is as follows. "The only difference is the 6.2 has a different coupler to connect to the throttle body."
  16. Does your borla exhaust have the flapper valve in it? I know that GM wed site picture of the borla exhaust doesn't show the flapper valve and was wanting to verify it.
  17. Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the new Airaid part #'s for the 6.2 ? They have the following part numbers listed. 200-111, 201-111 = Red filter, 202-111 = black filter, 203-111 = blue filter. I plan on calling Airaid on Monday to find out the difference between these and the 5.3 part #s. My 2014LTZ has been order and is in the Queued For Production Phase. Can anyone tell me how long that takes?
