    had this done about 2 years ago 1 major tear and 1 smaller tear detached bicep tendon and collar bone impingement (very painful) stick with rehab and don't push it, when it feels better learn to do things with other arm,it will improve good luck, it will be a year plus healing, now pain free

    to semi answer your questions; I installed the range afm delete device at roughly 60k miles I installed a cheapo catchcan on the pcv line at the same time I get about 2-3 ozs of oil and crud at each oil change amsoil since new, 1k miles, and am regular with injector cleaner please note that this engine did not use oil EVER or now I've done a lot of hilly towing the past 2 years, currently at 92k+ I hope this info will help, Tim

    I have an 08 also, 41,000 miles and no oil usage (yet) Amsoil 5/30 since 1,000 miles Sevice manager @ GM dealer told me they had decarboned the rings on a few 5.3's I'd power foam that engine before replacing ! BTW you are still under power train warranty, good luck

    +2 right side took a couple of taps, left side had to soak for a few minutes
