  1. Owner on the Tahoe/Yukon forums posted this after a dealer finally fixed his. Show the PIT number to your service advisor
  2. do the 3.0's even come with the engine heater?
  3. I'm usually doing first oil change somewhere between 500-1000 miles on new.
  4. I'm doing some research before going to the dealer to do some test driving. I'm going to be replacing my 03 Suburban, and I'm toying with the idea of a crew cab truck instead of the Suburban. One of the main reasons for the suburban is our 2 85lb German Shepherds - they get the back cargo area to themselves. In the crew cab, they'd be stuck with the floor in the back seat... anyone have a tape measure handy that could grab a dimension measurement for me? With driver seat in comfortable position, looking for measurement from back of rear seat at the floor to the back wall area of the cab, with seat folded up ( I understand the seat will overhang a bit, that's OK) - not planning on the under seat storage either.... any help is greatly appreciated!
  5. you didn't fall for anything. The SIR Coil/Clock spring has been the cause of some of the error messages you are seeing. There's been two sources of the error, thus far. One is the steering wheel SIR Coil/clockspring and/or the steering wheel airbag module. The other source is the inboard driver seat airbag connector. Is the button issue new?
  6. YES! the magnetic ride control is going to be much better at handling rougher roads than the standard spring/shock setup
  7. This was posted on the tahoe/suburban forum -
  8. I would advise that you take it to the dealer and make them hook up to it while it is not working. If it's not working when you take it in later, they may tell you to bring it back when it's not working. Whether they have the loaner or not, at least if they can connect with the vehicle, they can grab any data logs needed
  9. hmmm. you might be right. I would have thought that was the dark sky, but it seems to be more green. interesting. I think it is available on the canyon denali too
  10. I can't find good pics of the Hunter color, is it actually a gray/greeen?
  11. yes it will be available in November to order. It's on the build-and-price now.
  12. it's a warranted repair. you're entitled to a loaner vehicle, doesn't matter if it's the selling dealer or not. if the fix is replacing airbags, why wouldnt you want it? now, maybe I would not want them to that as a "maybe" step, but to be sure that's the fix before proceeding.
  13. might be a dumb question, but where in the world is the battery? buried under the fuse box? I note that there's remote jump posts for pos and neg
  14. Ugh. I'm torn. I'm shopping for a new truck that will see daily driver use all winter long, about 70 miles/day (traffic varies between light interstate and heavy stop and go at times).. I was looking hard at the 5.3 until someone reminded me about the new 3.0 diesel. Never owned a diesel before, I don't tow hardly at all. The potential for increased fuel economy is tempting (even with the Sierra's slightly lower numbers, but the complexity of emissions on these new diesels scare me a bit. What would you owners offer as advice or personal experience? ...and how can one get the 3.0 to be louder? lol
